Balme Library

Quiet, clean and nice place to study. There are conference rooms in there which can host programs for small number of people. Directional signs are well positioned but the wash rooms were a bit difficult to find. But this is the best library I've been too so.

This is one of the largest libraries in West Africa apparently one of the best. The resources available at this library cannot be enumerated. World-class E- learning facilities are available. For a lifetime experience of high quality Academic services, this is the place to be if your in Ghana. There is a braille library for visually impaired patrons. There is also a standard binder in the premises. In addition, the 24-hour reading room is always accessible to students.

One of the best places to study and do research. Also a one-stop place for book bindery and photocopy services. Besides the reading areas, there are three commons for undergraduates, postgraduates and faculty. The library also has a 24-hour reading room and a dedicated space for works on Africa. The environment is serene, beautiful and refreshing.

Four years in the University of Ghana and I spent quite sometime here studying. The day I found the ICT centre was a day of joy. Several hours learning how to code.

Balme library is one of the biggest and ultramodern library in Ghana. There are a lot of resources for your studies and research under a siren atmosphere. Searching for books in balme library is very easy, you can either talk to one of the Liberians or just type the title of the book in one of the computers provided so that you can find the exact location of the book. One can also borrow books from the library for a maximum of two weeks, which he can renew after the deadline. My time in the library has been very fruitful because I have always gotten a place to have my quiet time of studies. My only challenge has been that, there are some sections in the library where you can have access to WiFi whiles in other sections, there is no WiFi........... I would like to know why this is so. The library also has an online catalog of books where students can have access to anytime, but you have to register online first to have access. The library also has a 24-hour reading room, a place where students can go and study anytime and any day within the week.......this place works 24/7, so when the main library close at 10pm during week days, student can go to the 24 reading room to study, just that, there are no books there. The Liberians and security men are very nice to students and they always ensure that the right thing is done......I would like to suggest to the management of the library create more shelves for students to keep their bags, because there are times, students have to put their bags on the floor due to insufficient shelves.
