The negative reviews must be due to the previous owners as I've always found the guys who run the store super helpful and friendly. And it's so handy to be able to get essentials without having to drive out of the village!

Went on a tour down memory lane revisiting places in Ashwell in the family history one of which was here as my grandparents used to run this shop, lady not very helpful or accommodating when asked about it we visited August 2020. Was charged £4 for 6 eggs and small milk - not many prices on anything. Dated, drab decor, you could of been in a town, not pleasing aesthetically to keep with the age of the shop with old style white 80's ceiling tiles no nice little village ambience about the shop at all didn't add anything to the ambience of the village - shame

Agree with Liam on this. She was a lady of the art. Told us she was letting us off the 50p card charge to the find out it was a crafty way of wacking another 4 pound on the bill. Soon as we left the shop she closed the shop and went home to buy a brand new lambo with our 4 quid.

I was passing and went in, no prices just over charged if you're not a local. Shouldn't be allowed
