Whenever I come to this supermarket I am always happy with my shop, I have never had any problems unlike the store in Atherton. I was at the till in this shop the other day and the lady was very polite and friendly so I give it 5 stars.

Good superstore that has everything you need from clothes to electronics to food (Of course). The staff are very friendly and love chatting to customers. I just wish the prices were lower because in my eyes it is just more expensive than Asda.

As someone with anxiety it can be hard to go shopping however, Yesterday I had gone in for a-bit of nosy at the new home wear bits and to grab some chocolate never can go wrong, I went to the till and was served by this young lad I believe his name was Ryan, lovely, respectful kind. He wasn’t watching the time or rushing. He was patient and helpful, even made me laugh. Had a lovely conversation about tattoos ect, whoever runs this shop give him a bloody raise! Beyond excellent service, can’t say the same for the rest of them (we won’t go into that) but this lad was brilliant, never received such good customer service! And if this ever gets back to you, I wish you all the look in your plumbing career !

I have discovered that Tesco has more choice of goods, but the likes of Aldi are cheaper. Outside Tesco is one ATM. This is, however, not guaranteed to be operational. The shop has two floors. To connect these, there is an escalator and a lift. If your going upstairs with a trolley on the escalator, you will find it's locked, perhaps with magnetic forces for safety. Downstairs you can find foods, fish, alcoholic bottles and kitchen stuffs, chemist and sell own brand smartphones using the O2 network. And papers and magazines. There is a cafe too. Upstairs has clothing, and TVs. Non prescription meds are available here and not available in Aldi. They also have a prescription chemist. In a snappy phrase, for two bags from Aldi, you get one bag from Tesco. If you apply a Tesco clubcard you can receive discounts. It's very secure, like if a real cash card and it's a rigmarole to setup. But it's worth it. If your keen on walking exercise and it's poor weather, i have combined shopping and walking up and down each isle multiple times. It works ok.

If you require a passport type mugshot, Tesco has such a booth. It's the same as in Asda photo booth in quality. It's expensive. £10 for four pictures. You have up to 10 shots before committing it to print your pictures. It helps you with vocal prompts to select good images before printing.

Brilliant store, stays clean, friendly staff and more! This has 1 up travelator, 1 down travelator and one lift going up to the first floor.

Ground floor: Food, drinks, bakery, food mixes, household items and more.
First floor: Electronics, F&F (Florence and Fred) and fitting rooms.

The POS systems (self checkouts) really do guide customers and disabled people because they have a voice on them.

Overall a very good store. Would definatly recommend. We will definitely be coming back here again.

Went today 2/7/20 1st time since lockdown.
Was impressed to just walk in and no queue.
Got what I wanted and went to put in car. Asked if I could go back in to help Mum with her shopping, was allowed. Very friendly and helpful staff on door.
Realised I'd left my card at store. Rang customer service who said it was there.
Went back and I was able to go to desk without having to queue it was long by now. Got my card acknowledged staff on door and said thanks. My experience was very good.

Martin, unfortunately I did not get his surname, was a fantastic cashier. He was so polite and very helpful. He assisted with our shopping to be placed in the trolley without even asking. Amazing. Gentleman do still exist. You should be proud to have Martin as part of the team.

We have just collect our first CV19 click and collect order from the Chorley store so weren't sure of the layout or process, however the C&C office is away from the main store with carefully spaced out collection bays. We were greeted by an obviously busy but friendly, polite team, who preceded to confirm our order, explain the swaps and even loaded the car, all with 10 minutes. Just wanted to say a big thank you to them for making this a stress free safe experience. Cheers guys :)

Tesco is my shop of choice for day to day stuff, both because I prefer it and also we have two close by. They are pretty good on their ethical policy and I like that they state any Tesco own brand products have been produced with no animal testing.

I'd been getting increasingly frustrated with their diminishing range of vegetarian options and started doing shops elsewhere just to get some different meals. The new veggie/vegan meals by Wicked are yummy. But at £4 a meal they aren't something we can really stock up on and I want to be able to benefit from deals such as 3 for £5/£6 meals. So I asked Tesco to cater for us all fairly.
----------------------
UPDATE July 2018 - the vegetarian range of 'fresh' ready meals has expanded and there are some great options. I just hope the same doesn't happen again and they are not gradually taken off the shelves. I've increased from 4 to 5 stars to reflect the move to a wider choice of vegetarian options, which we are enjoying.

Customer service is excellent at this store, Staff really go out of their way to help and are genuine, pleasant and friendly.

Very nicely kept and merchandised Tesco Extra store social distancing markers on the floor.

Handy special offers staff on hand to assist with purchases if required.

Very good use of visual merchandising by way of signage and display POS to guide customers in the right direction.

Great range of products, easy parking, and reasonably priced products, especially if you have a Club card.

Asif who manages the fish and butchers counter is an absolute gentlemen and couldn't do enough to help - his knowledge regarding your products is second to none.
Asif should be named Tesco employee of the year!

Thanks for being friendly and polite to my family today.

Alex on the click and collect station is brilliant. Been doing click and collect for over 6 months and nearly everytime he has served me. Polite, efficient and a great rapport with his colleagues. Give the man a bonus!

Well organised for queuing even if the weather turns. Good layout with arrows on the floor to indicate direction you should walk around. Their click and pick is well used and has been designed now to accept three cars at a time.

Much prefer 'Tessies' over Asda. More choice (stock lines) so more variety. Not always as cheap at Asda but then you can get pretty much all you want in one shop. Having the 'car wash guys there (Chorley) Fuel & McD's is a bonus.

I come here a lot more often because ASDA no longer has a Deli Counter and here they have a very big choice of Free From goodies too. It's a great store for foods, clothing, electrical appliances and that's just for starters. Good free parking and petrol.

As a standalone store, definitely the most friendly and accomodating staff you'd could experience. You of course hear their mandated corporate style end-of-shopping mandated words, but it's never with a grimace, but a genuine chatty smile. Seem to have smile and chat to more regularly seen staff. Great working conditions??? I don't know, but defo great staff.

(note: I started this review by saying "standalone" store, as i've intentionally steered clear of my gripes about the high cost of Tesco's produce compared to other chain-stores in a close-ish vicinity.)

We go to Tesco Chorley to do our weekly shop and have always been satisfied with the goods we buy and the Staff who serve us, also the checkout staff, we buy from the meat counter and have to say that the beef and sirloin steak we have purchased recently when cooked is excellent. Thanks Tesco .
