A great place to pick up a great amount of different kinds of beer. From modern to European to American. Very friendly, knowledgeable guys selling the beers. Also has a tap house out the back. If you want beers in the Birmingham area, this is the place to go

Hands down the best craft beer bottle shop in the country. Incredible selection and the prices cannot be beaten anywhere that I have seen yet. They covers range of styles: IPA, stouts, sours, real ale, cider etc. They also have a taproom again with great prices and good range of beer in.

Wow! Soooooo much choice from craft beers, ales, ciders and wines from all over the place. And to top it all off a tap room with some amazing local beers from Birmingham's start up breweries. Craft beer heaven!

Great selection of beers, both domestic and imported. We parked across the road in the pub opposite. They accept card payments and have cardboard boxes for bigger orders.

Been going here over 8 years now. The choice is always astounding. Craft ales from around the world–actually from around the world, not just made in a big brand UK brewery in the style of.... Also has a massive selection of micro UK brewers – Duration, BBNo, the kernel brewery, Are just some of my favourites. Huge variety of authentic German lagers, Belgium beers, European ales. I could go on, but, just go. Go now. Go on. You won't be disappointed. Your wallet/purse or whatever will be a lot lighter, but quality is always worth paying for. Prices have gone up recently, but that's expected as prices have gone up everywhere. And they sell puzzles for the kids too! Why? No idea. Why are you still here reading this? Oh, and the guys who run it are great too.

Also stocked with the best beers on Planet Earth PLUS they have a tap room in the back and a magical beer tent next to a trainline... not to mention some amazing one offs, glassware, clothing, select spirits and a Deutsche beer section that would shame a Baverian Beer Hall. To have 2 of the best bottle shops in the nation less than half a mile from one another is sheer serendipity. May Cotteridge Wines continue for many years to come!

Popped in today after feeling a bit dissatisfied with my current craft beer shop. This place is like an Aladdin's cave, the scope of stock is unbelievable, my guys got all the best breweries available, at extremely reasonable prices, if you like craft beer and you can't find what you need here go and buy 4 cans of Stella because this shop is probably the best, well stocked craft bottle shop in Birmingham.

The best beer bottle shop I have stumbled across. Not the easiest place to get to, but it's well worth the journey. HUGE range of beers. Very decent, varied and rare selection of beers on tap. With the owners being very knowledgeable, friendly and always happy to help. Should add that the cost is reasonable for everything in the shop too.

Amazing craft beer shop with tap room. Has been awarded best bottle/beer shop for many years and can see why. Owners/staff are very helpful, friendly and knowledge. The range they carry is incredible, its like being a kid in a candy store, can easily spend an hour here. A must visit for any craft beer or cider fan.

By far the best selection in Birmingham (or anywhere I've been in the UK tbh) and great staff too, perfect.

Absolute hidden gem! They offer an ever changing great selection of ale, wine and ciders from all over, mainly coming from micro breweries. It's like being a kid in a toy shop with the amount of choice and funky looking designs.

The back of the store has been kitted out with a bar and a seating area so you can stop off and trial a couple! Worth mentioning whilst the weathers good, there is even a beer garden out back too!

Anytime I'm in the area I always pop in to sample their wares and normally end up leaving with at least a few. Proper canny establishment.

Awesome, the main shop is crammed full of interesting canned and bottled beers from all over the world. To attempt to improve perfection there's a bar out back serving a large selection of ales and craft beers ect. Prices are very good and there is something for everyone. Not really sure how it could be better! Cheers.

What a fantastic place if you have a love for real ale. Ranging from £1 up to £20+ there is a range of different beers and ciders in both bottle and can to suit all needs. CW also has its very own tasting room where you can sample your favourite brews

Over 1000 different ales on offer so what is there not to like. Some can be a bit pricey but they also have some cracking beers that are cheap. There is a very small tasting room at the rear which has about 10-12 draft ales on and a few tables to relax with your purchase of not just the bar, but the bottles/cans bought at the shop. Staff really friendly.

Only the best selection of beers in the country offered to you by the nicest guys in the trade. They will advise you if you need help selecting from over 1400 different beers from around the world, or they'll serve you a glass of craft beer from one of their 14 taps. You can even get take away from the tap room in a growler, all of this at the best prices in the country too.

Award winning off-licence, its focus is on high quality beer (with some other drinks too) from breweries in the UK and around the world. Last time I asked they had over 1400 beers in their range. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable,. prices are pretty good given standard of the products sold. There is a licenced tap room serving a range of keg beers to drink onside and as a growler filling station. There is an outside drinking area which is open when weather is good. There are bar snacks available but food isn't served except for certain events held there.

This place is well deserving of its standing of one of the best bottle shops in the country. Dizzying array of beers available to browse, the very definition of something for everyone.

The taproom at the back is also worthy of its own mention. A very good selection on offer, with changes to the menu on a frequent enough basis.
When the weather is holding up, one of my favourite things to do on the weekend is to get a beer from the taproom, and sit in the beer garden (usually with one of the variety of snacks they also sell), and then grab a selection of beers from the bottle shop to keep me topped up at home. Failing the weather, the indoor seating area is pretty homely.

Card payments taken in both the shop and taproom.

If you like Ale you'll love Cotteridge Wines. The name is left over from a previous life when they sold all sorts of alcohol. It's now 95% Ale. There are so many ales to choose from. Some a quite rare. Don't get too carried away though. Some can be really strong and really expensive. There is also a little bar at the back of the shop where you can have a cheeky beer. Ask the owner about a Growler. Me and all my friends have one each. They're great for party's or a night in, in front of the telly.

This is a beer lovers paradise and the staff are always happy to help if the selection overwhelms. To cap it off there's a small tap room with a great selection too. Top tip - they often have beer in store that's in the shoo. Try before you buy!
