New Dilshad

On our way back home from a day out, we came across this place quite by accident.
We had a good feel on entering as it was surprisingly busy early on a Friday night. The decor is very smart, slightly unusual for these days and has a very comfortable, relaxed atmosphere.
It then came to pass that our optimism was justified. Very good food and service with little to fault.
It is the only "Indian in the Village" but the locals are very lucky that the owners are not taking their customers for granted.

We pass here from Kings Norton to look after our horses but always went to Stirchley for a take away but one evening on the way home decided to try it out first time curry nice but a bit bland so next time tried madras very nice bit to hot for us so try again explained to staff member and suggested slightly hot in future now just right thanks to staff and chef for help and advice will always recommend

We walked in without booking on the Saturday before Xmas. They found us a two seat table that they kept apologising for being small. But we didn’t book so happy they helped.

Service and food was spot on and so much more reasonable price wise than we pay in Suffolk.

We even admitted the bill was totalled up wrong in their favour !! We paid the correct price and asked to be charged more for their hospitality.

Well recommended and would not hesitate in visiting again.

Had a really great takeaway last week. Quick delivery, food nice and hot and great quality. Really good and friendly staff too. If I lived nearby I’d be ordering all the time! 👌

Tandoori grill and chicken was beautifully presented with salad and Dahl... mixed biryani was full of meat and prawns to the last spoonful and the vegetable curry made it delicious to the end.. we will be back soon.. 👍

Booked for a party of 11 people for son's birthday. Everyone enjoyed their meal, the food was excellent, very tasty, and the portions were generous.
Staff were very attentative and polite, and nothing was too much trouble. Brilliant atmosphere.
First time for some of us, but it won't be our last.
A big thank you to all staff for a wonderful evening.

Brilliant food and brilliant customer service for an excellent price, and I fully respect their idea not to sell alcohol anymore as they still allow you to bring it in

Great service and food. They forgot one of our curries when we came to collect, but sadly we already arrived home when we checked it. They quickly delivered the missing curry to our home address which is around 5 miles away. Great customer service and the food was fantastic as always. Definitely recommend

Hands down the very best curry I have ever had. The food was just delicious, the staff were friendly and welcoming, attentive without being overbearing and all of this at a reasonable price. It's a crying shame I live 160 miles away, I'd be here every evening. Thank you to all at New Dilshad. If I can ever be back I shall be 👍

Cracking staff, very attentive and pleasant. Good food at a reasonable price.
Don't recommend the on site parking though, best to park in the village square.

A great curry house, always buzzing in the heart of Alvechurch. Always a very friendly team on service and the food has never failed. Have been many times and hope to go many more...
