Staff are lovely! The arrogance of the clientelle that go in there however leaves alot to be desired.. youre in tesco.. not Buckingham Palace!

I was the first into new refurbished Tesco Barnt Green this morning (along with Ron Atkinson!!!) It looks really smart with all new fixtures and flooring... The girls who work there are still as helpful and friendly as ever, a pleasure to shop there x

Excellent customer service and choice of products for a village store. Tesco are good at what they do.

Busy shop with good choice much of the time. Clean and well stocked . Helpful staff especially as the new self checkouts having a few teething problems .. well done.

Good local store, stocking all basic fresh, canned and frozen foods.
Some prepared foods and smaller bottles making it good for lunch

No space for packing your shopping. Have to put bag on floor. Other similar stores pack for you due to similar space issues.

Store always seems understaffed at the tills, in the evening there is often no one on the till and you feel like a like a pain asking for someone stacking the shelves to serve.

The self service is a bit of a joke, any issues you have to almost beg someone to assist.

Tesco should be doing so much better m....

In very difficult times with many customers in a higher risk category and also with underlying medical conditions the supervisor staff here ( in full face face mask) are extremely blunt . You are actively discouraged from buying fresh fruit and vegetables. However the younger staff without any PPE are very helpful 5 ⭐.
Whilst there the manager pointed out to two elderly gentlemen that Tesco company policy now is that no customer can shop there more than once a week or so even if shopping on foot. And that all customers are monitored on HQ CCTV. More worrying individual customer visits logged on Tesco CCTV and obviously tapes kept. Not a legal expert but Mr/Ms Tesco as using CCTV in this way you need to check UK Law. Please can Mr/Ms Tesco put a sign outside this village shop about how CCTV is used so one can choose to shop elsewhere and permanently. I am lucky to have a car and was not one of those gentlemen. Having last bought food in person on 24th March at Sainsbury's. Anyone doubting the validity of this post just ask the Tesco shop manager to see their CCTV. As she was standing directly underneath the roof camera.

The rare few times I have to go to this store, I always dread it. The reason is the staff. I don't know what it is but they all seem so miserable and even when you ask for help they are so rude and cold towards you or they give dirty looks.
I've never met such horrible staff. Don't think I will be using that store anymore.

I left here feeling very upset. I had bad treatment from a staff member. He seemed to be in a very bad mood, but that's not my fault; I was just doing some shopping 😪

I was there today with my boyfriend only let me into the store, very unpleasant service. The second couple who were behind us let us in without a problem. Rude service in particular young people.

VERY rude young man on the tills today (22/5/23 at about 15:50). ☹
