Lately we have been going to waitrose and skipping sainsbury, not as expensive as you think in a cozy store with great quality foods

Remarkably calm experience so close the Christmas!

Everyone says Waitrose is expensive, OK some of their stuff is, but if you have enough time to look around you'll find something decent. Own brands are actually quite cheap and just as good as anything else. Lovely, helpful staff, some of them treat me like an old friend! And they always seem to be cheerful. Thanks!

Always a pleasant experience. Well staffed so don’t have to queue for long and shelves fully stocked. Lovely selection of fresh flowers too. Big free car park for short stays

Food shopping is always a delight at waitrose different items you won't find at other stores and good value for money.

Smaller waitrose but still the normal stock. Stocks seem to have returned to normal levels

I like to come here in search of eco friendly products (more variety than sainsburys).
Considering the relatively small size of this store it is like an aladins cave inside. Great selection of things one cannot find in other Alton stores. Always some interesting special offers. Plenty of staff if help is required.

Out of the thing I really wanted. Means another visit when it comes in. But managed to get other things. Checkout operator very pleasant. Tidy and well managed store

Shopping in Waitrose is always a pleasure it's well space out always well stocked nothing is to much trouble for the staff .there is not enough space for me to keep saying why I shop there ,only other supermarkets could learn a lot from their example 👍👍

Well stocked, pleasant staff and easy parking.

This waitrose store is of high quality.
The car park has 166 spaces which includes 5 parent and child spaces and 10 disabled spaces (on ground level). Usually more space on top deck for quick and stress free parking as you can pick your spot. There is a stairwell to the store plus two lifts.The car park has a 2 hour maximum stay and is patrolled by a parking patrol officers called andy who is very helpful and friendly and quite knowledgeable and a good first point of contact, always cheerful with a smile and good morning!

The staff are extremely helpful to our customers and will go out of their way to help. Don't forget to use the carry to car and help with packing service If you need to.

Free coffee daily with a minimum spend now to all customers with their my waitrose card, which can be ordered online or in store if you don't have one.

This store also has a cafe and the far end of the store, also this is where the toilets are situated. The are gents, ladies, disabled and baby change facilities.

Some of the prices are slightly higher than various other supermarkets, but bargains can be had if you time it right as well, but you won't find this customer service anywhere else.

Also the click and collect facility and the Johnson's dry cleaning can both be picked up at the welcome desk, which is directly as you enter the store.

The store had a cash machine next to the outdoor seating which is at the front of the store, sadly no post box in store but less than 5 minutes away the post box is on platform 1 on the train station.

Lovely staff, great selection of goods (especially wine!). Not too incredibly pricy, if you can get things on offer and use discounts. Otherwise, undeniably a pretty expensive place to shop.

It's located close to Alton train station, roughly 150 metres away (one minute walking). A big store where you can find anything you need. There is also a cash machine outside of the store which means you can get cash before start shopping. Moreover, there are taxi services (Wilson Taxis) on the opposite side of Waitrose so you could get a taxi and transfer your shopping easily back home.

Clean, bright with excellent 'partners' who will always go the extra mile. Food & drink selections are what would be expected from the John Lewis Partnership. Overall, no more expensive than other leading Supermarkets.

Just went in for a couple of things. Not possible. Everything is so fresh and inviting. Only place we can get a handful of mussels for a fish stew rather than buying a whole net full. Yum!

Good shop, everything you need. Good quality stuff all be it at normal waitrose prices so not the cheapest. At least most of the veg is British instead of coming from Africa or South America.

Whilst not the cheapest supermarket, Waitrose makes shopping a pleasure.

For us, there is another bit of fun. We have a dog called "Rosie" who loves running around. So we are continually saying "Wait, rose" 🐕😊

Large shopping space, no need to worry about not being able to get down an isle when it's busy. Fruit and veg are especially tasty - Free coffee to when buying something.
