Fantastic tour and a great experience for anyone who enjoys cider, or anyone who doesn’t! Really interesting and you are taken round all the different parts of the operation behind Thatchers.

You start off in the Thatchers owned pub, the Railway which has a fantastic selection of ciders of draught (as expected). You are then picked up by the tour guides. We had one of the Johns, who was brilliant and extremely knowledgeable. They also interacted a lot with the group and took the time to chat to people individually as they were walking from place to place.

Only improvement for suggestion would be it would be nice to try a few more of the ciders, we did get to try 4 of them but it was only a very small amount and there was a few more which would have been good to get a sample of. It was good to try some I haven’t tried before, including blood Orange and Katy, and Katy is now my new go to drink!

The shop is a must visit! Loads of ciders at decent prices to take home and also good to get other bits and bibs such as lanyards, glasses, beer mats and everything else you can think of Thatchers related. FYI you get a free hat from the tour!

Highly recommended!

Tour Guide John (if I remember correctly) was fantastic. Very knowledgeable and was happy to answer any questions. Factory it self was amazing. The Canning line was broken down when we first went in however John made room at the end for us to go back to see it working after engineers had resolved the issue. The taster session at the end was great. Tried 4 flavours, 3 of which were new to me, but now among my favourites including 458 Cider which can only be produced every few years.

What a treat it is to have a tour of the mill and see where i have invested my money. There is alot of history here, the vintage oak vats being my favourite. Very interesting tour guides with lots of knowledge. They have invested lots of money in the new factory. The taste test after is the best bit. Although i had tasted all on offer many times before. 😊
There is a shop on site and a lovely pub too. Worth a trip if cider is your bag. 🍺🍻🍺🍎🍏

Well worth the visit to the Thatchers Cider shop, where you can taste any of the varieties of cider on display. Also available are limited editions and gifts such as a Thatchers Cider glass or 6 pack of different ciders.

Very friendly staff will answer the questions you have. The tasty ciders have a good reputation.

Been going to Thatchers for years. Its a lovely little farm shop hidden away (best things always are). Love the ciders and always do a run before Christmas to pick up a box of Cheddar Valley. Staff always friendly, car park is small and can get full quickly. Toilets on site which can be handy if you have a long drive. Just wish there was a farm shop in Wiltshire 😁

Had a great tour today at the factory (13th may 2023) was very informative and was surprised on how many apples 🍏🍎 went into one Cider, and how it was made, was great actually seeing the canning process and how it was all packaged up too, staff was very friendly and and food at restaurant was lovely, also was very impressed with how the thatchers zero tasted as it was alcohol free, (very nice) had a lovely time there 😊

Visited Myrtle Farm for a tour and tasting and what a great few hours we had, Phil the host was knowledgeable and captivating with his tour and commentary for the site and the history of Thatchers cider. Plenty of ciders to taste too which helps, we stopped for lunch in the Railway Inn which was very nice and picked up a few gifts in the shop as well, would definitely recommend.

Once finished into the shop round the corner to stock up on the specials, great prices.

Thatchers owned pub next to the brewery. Food is great and decent value. Most of thatchers ciders available on Tap- Rascal is my favourite! Large outdoor area, dog friendly. When it’s busy it’s often an hour or so wait for food, no issue as long as your not driving!

Impressive selection of ciders and other products on sale in the shop. The shop boasts a wide range of ciders, all displayed beautifully in various sizes from individual bottles up to to multipacks and big draught containers of cider. The selection of ciders catered to all tastes and preferences, from traditional dry to modern and sweet fruity blends (and are helpfully all labelled and ordered this way on the shelves!) The prices were the same as you would pay in a supermarket or online, making it excellent value for money.

Overall, I would highly recommend visiting Thatchers Cider shop. The selection of ciders, other products, and the staff's knowledge and friendliness make it a fantastic destination for those looking for local produce.

Excellent tour, a must for cider lovers. Not all their products are to my taste as they are quite sweet. However it's great see that a family business has grown and competing favourably with the big breweries in today's market. Long may they continue. By the way if you don't like the sweeter ones they still make more traditional cider and you can buy 5litres on tap in the shop.

We visited on their annual open day... it was amazing. Tours available as well as bands, cider tasting, BBQ, ice cream and bouncy castles for the kids.
Staff were lovely, everyone had a brilliant time. Very lucky with the weather as well.

Thatchers is in a lovely location! When first arrived the place looked beautiful with the pub on the corner, a very scenic view. Entering the pub it’s nicely laid out and very well decorated. Myself and my brother went on the tour round thatchers and would highly recommend it. They show you all about the process of making thatchers and tell you in detail of how they do it step by step. They don’t hide anything and at the end of the tour you get some lovely tasters! The shop they sell a great range of products at a very reasonable price! Didn’t feel shafted as some places might try to hike up the price as a captive audience. Would highly recommend for a day out!
