Local pub with beautiful interior. We ordered two sandwiches and coffee. It was delicious

We came for a Sunday roast on 17 September, group of six including vegan and vegetarian. We had beef, pork and vegan/vegetarian options. Food was outstanding. Service very friendly and helpful. Nice calm chilled atmosphere for a Sunday lunch. Cost varied between person depending on drinks and sides. Happy with cost for the quality of food and service.

Good central location and parking outside is available. There was a very friendly atmosphere and prompt service. The menu was typical British "Sunday lunch" but beautifully done, piping hot and generous tasty portions. We had Roast beef with all the trimmings. It was excellent value, beautifully presented with a smile and it was also dog friendly! We were more than satisfied and will definitely return

We had a lovely meal followed by watching the Butcombe Festival of Laughs. Such fun! I love the olde English style decor. My aged steak was cooked to perfection, with a side of broccoli with almonds which was divine.
It's a great place to sit outside on a sunny afternoon and watch the world go by in the beautiful village square.

Lovely old pub with great pub food. Pie was superb and my mother enjoyed it immensely. Fabulously friendly and attentive staff. Highly recommended

Good food, excellent service and fine atmosphere in this lovely old building. Would return without any hesitation though I suspect parking could be an issue on a busier/finer evening! Butcombe Beer on tap was definitely a bonus as well ! Thank you to all the staff.

Great local ‘pub’ the food is always delicious, generous portions with friendly but not overbearing staff. We have had lunch, dinner and Sunday lunch here and never disappoints. Thanks to all the team I’d highly recommend.

Service is always very friendly here and the staff all work really hard to keep a busy pub working well. App easy to use for bookings and food not too bad at all! We have eaten here many times and it is always worth the money.

We were very lucky to get a last minute table on Easter Sunday but we're very pleased that we did.

The roast chicken was replaced with roast turkey, which was excellent. And the same was said of the roast beef. In fact we thought this was one of the best roast pub lunches we'd had for a very long time. Something so many pubs fail on.

Staff were really friendly and helpful. There was also an Easter egg hunt (for the children of course...) which was an added bonus.

The pub has a great atmosphere with many original features. It was really popular, especially with passing cyclists.

Highly recommend, though best to book in advance.

This pub is well worth going out of your way for. It was our first visit where we were meeting friends for a mini celebration lunch. Excellent menu, delicious food, good value for money, lovely surroundings, very friendly staff- what more could you wish for?
If I had to make a comment it would be that the dessert was a little long in coming.
This was probably the best meal out that we have had for a long while.

I love the ambiance of eating and drinking in a pub. Especially in a good one. The Lamb Inn seems to tick all the boxes. It was lunch and I had a delicious soup and bread. We found this pub by accident and it was great.

Wednesday lunchtime: delicious – and I mean DELICIOUS light lunch. I had the best fried halloumi and fried polenta "chips", with a fennel and onion hot salsa. So good i went and found the chef to congratulate her and find out how it was done.
Wonderful site, especially on a dunny day, and utterly charming and helpful staff. I can't recommend this lovely place highly enough!

Had a very pleasant meal at The Lamb Axbridge. Super warm atmosphere. Delicious food, served in good time.Very friendly staff....Nice and smiley. Easy parking close by in this historic town . Would highly recommend.

We use the Lamb regularly because it's simply a warm and friendly place to eat, drink and meet our friends.
Sarah, Michelle and the bar/restaurant staff are a credit to the business. We recommend anyone to visit for food, drink, good company - or all three...

The Lamb looked beautiful, all decorated for Christmas. It was a very busy Sunday lunchtime and the staff were working hard. They were all very friendly, attentive and helpful, as usual and the food was excellent. We all had a very enjoyable time.

What an enchanting and welcoming experience, We visited the lamb inn for a pub lunch with my wife and two children, as a little family bonus before the Christmas rush started. The staff were extremely helpful, the chef even came out to check our baby’s food was heated correctly, the food was excellent just a personal preference to how we would have the starter otherwise 5 stars all round, will definitely visit again and recommend to others.

Our night at The Lamb last night was just amazing!!
Greet atmosphere, fabulous food and the Butcombe Festival of Laughs entertainment had us in stitches. It’s a great achievement to bring such great entertainment to local pubs.
We met some lovely people and always enjoy our time at Butcombe pubs. We’ll done to all the team.

Lovely pub. Called in for early dinner mid week and the food was absolutely superb. Recommend the pie! Friendly and helpful staff. Situated in brilliant location - really recommend
