The Lemongrass, Thai Restaurant

A fanatic little place located just before the land gate in the historic town of Rye. Friendly service awaits you where the table are quaint and idle for a romantic meal for couples. There’s enough room for larger groups too. Food choice was massive and has all the Thai favourites. Food arrived quickly and hot which tasted amazing. Not overly spiced, cooked just right. Well worth a visit for a lovely evening out. We choose the pad Thai which was Amazing. Prices were very reasonable too.

The hype is real! This place was wonderful; kind attentive staff, delicious authentic food and a very happy bustling atmosphere. Plenty of vegan options also. I recommend getting a selection of the starters; the veg tempura and sweetcorn cakes were especially delicious.

The only thing that could be improved (for me) would be if they could have more drinks on offer, as I'm someone who doesn't have soft drinks, wine or beer. if there was a BYOB corkage situation, that would be great!

We had a lovely meal at The Lemongrass. The food was delicious, fresh, good value and there was a great selection. The atmosphere is so nice in the restaurant, great decor and comfortable. The staff were really friendly and attentive. I would definitely recommend! We would recommend the mixed platter. Some of the best prawn toast I have ever had!

Meal was lovely. Would recommend booking before you go. You would think that because out of season it wouldn't be busy but when you taste the food you will understand why it does

Ordered takeaway from this restaurant in Rye. Food was very authentic and delicious- perfect balance of flavor without being too overpowering. The green curry and sirloin steak were stars of the show

The food! The food is delicious. Time of year meant it was quiet. Very clean, staff were extremely helpful. Just spot on. Almost cancelled the booking, so glad we didn't.

Went to Rye this evening, we had originally planned to eat elsewhere but it was rammed. I'm so glad we decided on The Lemongrass instead.
The staff were very welcoming, it was a pretty quiet but it was a Wednesday night, to be honest that suited me just fine.
The food was really delicious and cooked perfectly.
The air conditioning was a unexpected bonus because it was baking hot outside.

Great ambience, friendly staff.
The menu is very good and caters for all tastes, vegan etc. I went with my wife and sister and future brother in law. We had the mixed platter and a few other dishes for starters, shared 4 mains a bottle of red and bottle of Prosseco. The food was very tasty and good portion size.

One of the best Thai restaurants I have eaten in, and a very fair price, will definitely be going back as there is so much nice food to choose from, would highly recommend

We arrived just before closing time and were still warmly welcomed. We even got the nicest table in the restaurant. The price-performance ratio is great. The food very tasty. Here "spicy/hot" also means "spicy/hot". :) Very friendly service. We recommend. Vegan options available.

We visited last night and we had starters and mains only. The waitress and waiter were very friendly and we waited 10 mins to order. The starters were Salt and Pepper Squid and my partner had Chicken Satay which both were delicious.

My partner had the Sea Bass which she loved apart from the bones which is the nature of fish. I had a Duck in Tamarind Sauce which was delicate and fresh. We tipped heavily due to the service.

It's a lovely restaurant for couples. We noticed people around 50-60's and we were the youngest 31-38.

You must visit of you enjoy Thai cuisine. 🌟
