To be honest I had no real idea of what The Bell would be like when I booked it. The location was convenient for a function we were attending elsewhere. What a revelation, this place is amazing. You have to consider that the "project " is ongoing, but this doesn't impact on anything. The standards are great. Service, welcome and the whole experience was amazing. While entering the bedroom, the standard of which it had been decorated and furnished to was just way above what you could have expected. Only down side was that we were only staying the one night.

A beautiful pub with lovely hosts. Incredibly stylish decor and a very pretty garden. A real hidden gem. Didn't eat whilst I was there but it looked (and smelled) very nice indeed.

Came over for a week holiday from Guernsey, catching up with family. Spent the week eating out and feeling quite disappointed with the quality of the food. However, I had a lamb curry here and it was probably the best curry I have ever eaten. I had bacalava for desert and that was sensational too. The food, wine and hospitality was faultless 100/100! Highly recommend!

We just had a really lovely meal at The Bell, Iden which included starters, main meal and a gorgeous surprise, chocolate mousse birthday cake, with singing to accompany it. Great service from all the staff, especially from Jodie.
Always good to arrive a little earlier and have a pre dinner drink in the cosy snug area with log burner, while listening to jazz music. 😊.

My husband used to visit the beautiful Village of Iden when he was a kid and whenever we are down that way we always pop to Iden and visit the Bell.
Tried to book a room on numerous occasions but it was always booked up.
Finally managed to book a weekend away in January this year and it was absolutely fantastic.
Lovely accommodation and fully equipped with everything you need to make your stay comfortable.
Vic who runs the Bell inn is a brilliant host and really made myself, husband and our Dog feel very welcome and we enjoyed our stay so much that we booked again for the husbands birthday and have just returned from another fantastic weekend.
Will definitely be back again soon

It was probably 10 years ago when I last visited the Iden Bell, not much has changed with the pub itself.
It is a charming pub with a pleasant atmosphere, clean and tidy and they are dog friendly, so you can bring your best friend along with you.
Had a great meal that was very reasonably priced and the staff were friendly and helpful.
I would definitely recommend the Iden Bell, charming little pub to visit should you be close by.

Stayed here for 4 nights for a mini break. Had a great time. Room was very comfy and clean.....slept very well indeed!! Vicky and her team were very welcoming and friendly. Good choice of breakfast included and nice tea and coffee in the room. Breakfast was also served to suit you which was good (within reason of course). Ate in the res
taurant a couple of times and food was of a high standard. Also loved the fact it was very low key and informal. Will definitely be revisiting and highly recommend if you're going to Rye (10 mins drive) or Hasting (only 25 mins and a nice drive).

A warm welcome when we arrived and an easy to understand one way system. The food was very nice & my favourite drink when driving Adam's Ghost Ship 0.5. I was also able to charge my car which is a bonus & actually how we came to be eating here.

Really rare find, London style food in country style pub. Amazing place, great for kids and dogs and famalies (not in that order). I ordered a steak which was amazing!!!! My son had a delicious meal topped off with posh sorbet! Total hit!
Pop in and experience this gem, you won't be disappointed.

We visited The Bell on St Valentine's Day with our kids and 2 dogs and really enjoyed ourselves. The restaurant was cozy with lovely fire burning in the fireplace. There were some board and card games available so we had an Uno battle. We found the menu had a good variety with some veggie options also, food was delicious. Staff were friendly and attentive. It was a rainy night so it was great to be able to park right outside rather than walking from one of the parking lots if we had gone to Rye.

Very nice stay at this great country pub. Decent sized room with king size bed, en-suite shower room, tea & coffee, fridge and flat screen TV. Food in the pub was very good and the staff and owners were very nice and friendly. Recommended.

Friendly pub, they've really nailed the vibe of local and restraunt. Usually if it's a restaurant it ruins the local pub vibes and then becomes just a restraunt. This is on the contrary and they have been able to do both!

The barmaid and waitress were fantastic very friendly and welcoming and had great banter! They really made the experience 10 times better and I'm quite the miser, but I tipped £20 because I loved the service that much!

The local drinkers were nice and friendly directing me to the bathroom and usually there's a split as most locals hate what the pubs become when they become half restraunt but the bell in have hit the nail on the head.

The food was absolutely amazing the steak was cooked to perfection and the garlic mushrooms were to die for!

I would recommend this place not only for food but for a mad one with the lads as they have pool tables and banter. One of the best pubs I've been to!

10/10

Perfect Sunday lunch with desserts to die for, no complaints from any in our group, which is unusual, one of our party is a serial moaner. Completing the perfection were the super friendly staff, and customers, so welcoming of our 5 dogs. A return visit will be made for sure.

I was initially attracted by their Tesla Destination Charger (providing a free charge for our Tesla electric car), but was also delighted by this pub itself. Warm welcome and great traditional pub food. It’s cosy inside and has a couple of lovely beer gardens for the Summer.

Lovley little pub but having used it for 37 years I may be biased. The village is my home even though I live away too many family members are planted locally to be truly objective. Great stake and chips.
