My wife and I stopped here on a whim last September during our country drive vacation. They were just starting to use their outside kitchen. We found it to be a wonderful experience of having a quiet supper looking over the fields and watching the low mist settling in as the sun set. We would love to go back there again.

Terrific last minute break, my son stayed here years ago, and we decided to give it a go. Terrific hotel, staff couldn't be better. Food in the evening was really good. Breakfast to die for, loads of fresh fruit not frozen, sausages the best in ages. Will definitely return, and recommend to friends. Great experience.

Did not stay but came for Sunday lunch. Was a carvery. Good tasty food, meat cooked well. Had a choice of turkey, beef, lamb, pork and a cheese veg wellington. Veg was roast potatoes, roasted root veg, cauliflower cheese, red cabbage, green beans. Plus stuffing, pigs in blankets, Yorkshire pudding. Gravy was super tasty and lots of sauces on offer. Was the best carvery I’ve had in a long time. Even the wife loved it!! Cost was just over £80 for 4 with drinks so £20 per head. Decent.

Very lovely Sunday carvery. The food was amazing. The staff were also very friendly and accommodating. There were no cocktails on the menu but the waitress said she would make one specially.. It was lovely too! Thank you 😁👍🏼

Ordered the fish and chips this evening. Had it before but was worried it would be as good as the last one. It was excellent 👌👌👌
Amazing value and free delivery. Ordered early for 5.30pm and delivered at 5.30pm (once they had sorted our front gates 😁)

Firstly the staff were very friendly and helpful. Location was very good for us. Room was good size , clean and tidy with plenty of tea , coffee etc. Evening meal was very excellent with enough choices. Good choice of draft beers and juices as well.
Breakfast was one of the best I have had in a hotel ! Plenty of choice including cooked , fruit , hams , cheese , yogurts etc etc. Absolutely faultless !! Highly recommend this place and the staff , thank you !

This was our second visit here. We love this lodge. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. It literally 5 minutes drive to Rye and to Winchelsea beach. 15 minutes to Hastings. We loved our stay here.

A great location for visiting Hastings without staying in the town.
The hotel is set in a lovely location and although it is on a main road, it is still peaceful.
The rooms are a good size with comfy beds, tea/coffee facilities, large TV and a good sized bathroom and shower.
The bar is well stocked for a quiet evening drink and the buffet breakfast was lovely and plentiful.
Will definitely stay again!

A lovely place to spend time after a long walk. The food is 5 star and the team are highly professional and very friendly, generating happiness. The rooms are immaculate. Very much worth a visit just for the food or to take a few days break in an amazing location.
Electric bikes will be available to hire soon to explore that bit further out.

We had an amazing weekend at The Lodge, Nicky & the team helped me to organise a surprise 60th Birthday meal for my parents.
The location is a short drive from the beach and very accessible, the accommodation has everything you would need, spacious rooms all in great condition and very clean.
All meals we had at the lodge were delicious and the service was brilliant, and all the team were very friendly and accommodating
We had a fabulous weekend and look forward to returning soon!
Thanks all :)

We had a family room for just one night, so I didn't get to spend much time here but room was nice felt very cosy .Beds were comfy and was plenty of tv channels with catch up available which is always a nice bonus!
My only complaint as such would be the blinds and curtains ,we obviously closed them but they still let soo much light during the night /morning which was slightly annoying as we do like to sleep in the dark. Ah another silly little complaint was there seemed to be a massive dog, possibly great dane In the room bellow us and it did bark quite abit in the morning but atleast it wasn't at the crack of dawn lol.
The breakfast was also great ,kids were happy as lots of cereal and sooo many fruit choices too aswell as cooked breakfast !
All in all it was a fab hotel definitely exceeded our expectations and we would still happily stay again guess I'd just have to buy an eye mask 😆
(Pics taken at about 4/5am ,you'd think there was a light left on )
