Traquair Arms Hotel

Had Sunday lunch here with family. We hadn't been for a while and we were very pleasantly surprised. The dining area had been updated. Very comfortable and more modern. The service was excellent, very pleasant serving staff. The menu was very good and the food was excellent. So nice to find something a bit different. Oh and my husband had the pie, a proper pie. Not some meat with a daub of pastry on top. He said it was excellent, steak and haggis. I never even got to taste it. We will definitely be back.

Went for evening meal and thoroughly enjoyed high quality food. Unusually these days all desserts are made on the premises and are delicious. Highly recommended.

Beautiful room with very comfortable beds. My sister had medical problems when we were staying here and the staff and owner went out of their way to help us. Can't praise them enough for their care! Thank you so much

Great food, brilliant service, and lovely staff. Dogs were made welcome as well.

Room was spotless and roomy, if a little functional. The staff were all awesome. Friendly and helpful.

Food was perfect. I had the Baha’i scotch egg as a starter which was perfect followed by steak and haggis pie which was delicious

Breakfast was massive and not your usually cheapo ingredients. Everything was delicious.

Great busy traditional inn. Comfortable rooms and self catering cottages. Bar and food well positioned for locals mountain bikers and tourists. They even have a laundrette a good excuse to wash and eat. Very dog friendly

Called and asked if they could do a take away dinner, and got an amazing meal. The oyster mushroom main was really great, in a lovely sauce. Really can’t say enough good things.

Fantastic stay and hospitality from Traquair Arms Hotel! We had a large group of us staying here for a wedding taking place at Traquair House down the road. The rooms were well looked after and despite a few rooms being cold upon arrival they quickly remedied with portable heaters that made the room extremely toasty.
Additionally, all 22 of us had the lovely opportunity to dine in their restaurant! They took excellent care of us and their staff was extremely helpful and patient with our group. The food was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend their Haggis and Pork Sausage Roll Starter. This was my first time trying haggis and I would be lying if I said I didn't think about that starter for the rest of the trip. The portions were large and well priced! And we throughly enjoyed our time here both in the restaurant and the hotel!

We stopped for a spot of late lunch at the Traquair Arms after visiting a Buddhist monastery a wee drive away, and the food was delicious!

This was actually my second time here, the first having left a lasting impression!

Food was great, the service was very friendly and welcoming and the atmosphere was warm and convivial.

If I'm passing again I will definitely be sure to stop in!

Only used the bar restaurant. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere. Food was extremely good and would highly recommend. I will be back!

The pub is truly wonderful. Cask ales, casual live music, endearing conversations and superb food. The fish stew was a work of art. The roast lamb was bursting with flavor and perfectly prepared. Excellent presentation. A quick stop off the main road. We can't wait to go back!

Food/drinks review only : Head here after riding the trails for your post ride beer. Be sure to try some of the food too. I can highly recommend the black pudding scotch egg and we really enjoyed the burger too. Really solid, quality pub food.

The staff were so friendly and it was really busy. Dog friendly which is fab and the food was so good! Really good portions and great value for money, highly recommend a visit with your four legged friend!

Great food! Had a fabulous meal and everything we ordered was delicious. Place was absolutely packed, so best to book at the weekend.

I visited this place a few months back and we decided to eat and drink outside on a beautiful sunny day. They’ve done up the seating area at the back so there’s plenty of space now.

The food was absolutely beautiful. I had seabass with a red pepper sauce which was delicious. It was all table service at this point, with the staff being attentive and friendly. Really enjoyed the visit and would recommend this place if you are in Innerleithen.

Ate there three nights in a row, varied menu, great ipa, service was exceptional. Food was very tasty and good portion sizes. Barman remembered our tipple Every evening and kept us topped up nicely.

These guys are on top of their game! Super friendly staff, Very comfortable dog and bike friendly accommodation!
Dined in the beer garden every night of our 3 night stay and the food was absolutely superb and great value.
Particular praise is due on the veggie options which are interesting and delicious!

9 of us spent a week here in two of the cottages and one hotel room. All rooms were excellent- the newly renovated spotless cottages had 2 good sized bedrooms (huge beds!!) plus sofa beds in the living area. Kitchen with oven, fridge, toaster and kettle (no microwave). Lovely big shower room and en-suite. Powerful shower. Only complaint was lack of bedside tables, wardrobes and shelves in the bathroom. The pub is brilliant- good beers, friendly staff and top notch food, we ate there 3 times all were very good. Excellent base for exploring the borders area and Edinburgh (we took the train from Gorebridge). Highly recommend!

We had dinner at the restaurant and it was very nice. Great time, fantastic atmosphere, and top quality service.
