Fantastic place. One of the very few leather embossers left in Scotland. Set in at the beautiful Traquair House (with full size maze) is a great day out.
This is where I found Centaur Designs' workshop. The team were very friendly and helpful. I recently put my first order in for new leather collars for our dogs. I am very very happy with the items. They look brilliant, were made and sent really quickly so we would receive it for the holiday and at a very reasonable price.
I highly recommend this wonderful business that are keeping alive traditional embossing methods and offer a brilliant service.

Beautiful, beautiful place with incredible history. The Centaur Designs shop has some of the most beautiful and unique jewelry I have ever seen . If I am fortunate to get to return to Scotland I will absolutely make a trip back to Traquair. And the estate being inhabited by same family since it was built hundreds and hundreds of years ago is fascinating.

A trip to the Scottish Borders in September meant we found this wonderful workshop. My husband bought me some earrings. I then ordered a scarf ring online as a Christmas present for a friend. It was difficult to part with. I have been delighted with the workmanship and lovely designs.

I ordered a lovely brown leather belt with brass buckle to the exact length I specified and it arrived the very next day, less than 24 hours later. It's heirloom quality, made-to-measure and the finest quality leather imaginable. I've bought several belts and a dog collar from these great people over the years and the quality is second to none. Honest, reliable and first class. Recommended.

Have visited the studio before and now just used the online shop. So fast! And repaired a well loved belt too. Debby kept me updated with the progress of the order and the leather and a work is a really good quality.

I've purchased some items here over the years but, recently, Debbie and Terry pulled out all the stops to fulfill a commission in time for an important wedding anniversary. They really are wonderful people and their products are exceptional.

What a wonderful experience and a pleasure, Terry and Debby and took all the hassle out of finding suitable wedding rings with a design we both loved the Dragon design silver rings were the answer and they were able to make them in white gold and alter the width for me slightly . The design of the Dragon is perfect, and beautifully etched in a Game of thrones way but as we are Welsh it kind of ticks both boxes.
I also bought a leather belt as a wedding gift for my husband Matthew with a dragon embossed buckle which he has warn ever since he had it and it still looks as good as the day it arrived and smells lovely too !!!
We had to send Matthew's ring back for RE-sizing our fault totally to a smaller size which Terry sorted it out perfectly and speedily sent it back out to us.
The Happy Ending we haven't taken our rings off once and we would definitely recommend the Centaur Design for anyone wanting something a little different that's hand made in this country by two talented Makers and Designers.

Having had several bespoke silver items made by Terry I asked Debbie to make a Bespoke belt to incorporate a Dragon Buckle I had purchased elsewhere. The belt was expertly made with the ends finishing as the Head & Tail elements of the Buckle.I can thoroughly Reccommend Both Terry & Debbie's work. I have spent well over £1,000 with them over the last 3 years & have had not the slightest morsel of dissatisfaction.

Bought new matching wedding rings on a spur of the moment decision. Interesting designs in a variety of sizes.

Lovely to revisit. We had our wedding rings made here and have continued to buy jewellery and leather goods since. Fabulous stuff as always.
