Great food, service and atmosphere. We are in one night ( booking essential) and had takeaway pizzas another night. Highly recommended.

Found this place from researching the best veggie restaurants in North Devon,
It had great reviews online and I was craving pizza, I had to try it.

Can’t believe the cook was so young! But daym the burger and chips were so nice. I went for the portobello mushroom with guacamole, roasted garlic peppers and chutney on a sourdough bun! Was soooo nice.
I also ordered a takeaway pizza.
If I’m ever in the area again with a friend, I shall take them there :)

I was recommended the flame factory for a birthday meal and it did not disappoint. Great selection of drinks.The food was delicious, the atmosphere was great and the service was fab and they even provided us plates and a knife for the birthday cake! Will definitely be back again and hopefully soon!

We all absolutely loved it. The food is amazing, and the service was too. My boys loved the pizzas only downside is it only opens in the evening at 5.30 we did try to come for lunch before we left just so me n my husband could try the pizzas (we had the steak previously 😋) would definitely recommend always busy 😀

We looked at The Flame Factory while we were on holiday last year but couldn't get booked in...however we made sure not to make the same mistake again and booked for my Sisters birthday dinner tonight!
Well, we now know what all the fuss was about as its an all round wonderful place for dinner. The service was great they made us feel welcome and like we were at home, the music was great for a bit of dancing along and the food was incredible 😊
We are now stuffed and considering booking next year's visit!! ❤

Really nice little rustic place. The guys were great, nice and friendly, and the food was amazing. Has got to be one of the best pizzas I've had, and the desserts were even better. Would definitely recommend this place and it's a shame we do not live locally. Thank you for an amazing meal.

This place is well worth a visit. The pizza was amazing. The whole setting is worth checking out. I did see steaks on the next table and they also looked the dogs! The service was really excellent. You must give this place a go!

This is possibly the best pizza we have had... We come to appledore every year and never think to do pizza as it is something we can get anywhere.. It was absolutely beautiful... Highly recommended.

What a wonderful place! After a long day of exploring Cornwall, my three companions and I were trying to find a late meal in Appledore, but every eatery had closed its kitchen.
It was looking bleak for four hungry travellers.
Then we came upon the Flame Factory, also preparing to shutter after a busy day. Their ovens were shut off, their tables cleaned and staff were finishing up. As we began to shuffle off, the manager ran after us. "The fryer's still on," she called.
And we ordered up a simple feast: several fries with cheese and pulled pork with a couple spectacular fresh salads were utterly delicious and perfectly hit the spot.
But most of all, thanks to the kind and solicitous manager and staff of the Flame Factory who stayed open a bit longer to feed strangers!

My wife and I was staying local for our 13th wedding anniversary and decided we wanted to have a meal here. It was a great decision! The service we received was exceptionally good and the food was faultless. This is a small family run business and it showed in both the quality of the food and the level of service you receive. We visited for takeaway on the quay side tables last night. We got two burgers and two pizzas, all vegetarian and all awesome. Great portion sizes and the pizzas were fully topped! Beautiful evening on the quay with family and great food from an independent!

Fantastic pizza! I ate one pizza, and decided to forgo desert, and instead ate a second pizza! I should have taken a 3rd with me for breakfast the following morning… if I come back to appledore one day, it will be to eat here…

I wasn’t very sure about the pizza crust from the pictures I saw but trust me, it’s on point!
We ordered take out a few days ago and it took them less than 15 minutes to prepare our order.
The process of ordering was easy, the food was great! I had the roasted veg pizza with vegan cheese and my husband has a burger.
The fries are great, which I always appreciate cause who wants soggy oily fries, right?
Highly recommended and we will be back for sure!
Ps. We believe we didn’t have any plastic in the packaging. Pizza of course in a box and the boxes that the burger and fries came in looked compostable which we reallllly appreciate!

The most EPIC pizzas and amazing for gluten free - if you have coeliac disease they take cross contamination seriously and the staff are super helpful. Plus the pizzas are HUGE! Great atmosphere, I just love it here!!

Had a meal for two here on Saturday eve. Amazing food!!! Stupendous. Home cooked to perfection. Brilliant service. Super friendly staff. Packed out and great atmosphere.

Wow! Everything was perfect here from the warm friendly greeting and service from the staff to the sublime food and drinks. Fully booked for a fairly busy Saturday night but timing of everything was perfect. Gluten free pizza base was nice and crispy; and a far cry from the squeaky cardboard pizza bases you usually get elsewhere. chips were excellent and the antipasti platter tasted sharp and fresh. Would definitely return when I'm next in the area and book in advance to avoid disappointment. 👌

Warm welcome, amazing, freshly cooked food, nothing is too much trouble from attentive but not intrusive staff team. Will definitely be back :)
