Friendly pub with restaurant right on the shoreline. Nice atmosphere great reasonably priced food. Sea views from both the restaurant and the patio. Probably the best sticky toffee pudding clotted ice cream combo I have ever had. The cheesecake is excellent too. Good selection of mains.

We took refuge on a cold, rainy day at The Beaver Inn. What a delightful discovery. The food was delicious. We tried the soup of the day which was a roasted capsicum (full of flavor and served with a really good baguette). Then had fish pie (scrumptious) and finished with sticky toffee pudding (yum). Friendly pub. They showcase local produce.

We drove here yesterday to this lovely coastal village and met a lovely couple who told us about this pub and said its a must! Live open mic night on a Sunday night. It's unbelievable! So welcoming the locals are beyond friendly the atmosphere is unreal! It was packed out but everyone moved up to Accommodate us with no fuss. Everyone was joining in with the singing people of all ages enjoying the vibe together. Steve is the manager extremely polite as we're his amazing staff all worked so hard to keeping the drinks flowing. Perfect pub right by the sea. Pool table clean modern toilets - superb! Best 1st night of our holiday x

Perfect pub. Myself, my boyfriend and son visited this pub a few times on our holiday last week. Has a lovely view of the water around the back in the outdoor seating area. My son loved watching all the waves. The staff are really friendly and welcoming. The pub has loads of activities for adults and kids. Board games, pool table, darts and crazy golf. Crazy golf is only £2 per a person. My 11 year old was asking to go back every day of the holiday to play on the pool table. Food is lovely. Was very pleasantly surprised with the food portion size. Only gutted that it’s not my local pub but will be back again when visiting appledore!

This was the nicest pub we went to on our North Devon break. The staff were lovely, great vibe in the pub with a spectacular view too. The portions are maybe a little small but the food is affordable and the quality amazing. The vegetarian sausages are the best I've had.

Group of friends visiting the village and we luckily were able to book a table.
Lovely seafood pub meals with excellent range of fish dishes on offer. We all loved the seafood platter, everything was so fresh and well cooked. Excellent bread to soak up things.
My fish pie was up there with some of the best I've had with a lovely cheese topping.
The service was friendly and attentive, with some young staff, even though didn't look experienced, knew the ropes and did their best. Great atmosphere too.

Very welcoming in this locals-use pub and restaurant. The fish chowder was exceptional, and the fish cake superb. Hand cut chips were the best I've had for a long time.

Amazing food and beautiful view. Staff were very pleasant and polite. Specials board was shown when we sat down and we were asked if everything was ok with our food. Little bonus was the live music. Great atmosphere all round

After walking past the Beaver Inn a few times we decided to stop in for drinks on the patio. Great views and fresh air. A few days later we went in for dinner and had the best seafood chowder with a fresh wedge of baguette. A pleasant experience not overrun with dogs.

Late Nov' 2023: Great pub out of season. Enjoyed a nice pint of Proper Job + Scampi & Chips, while enjoying the views from the restaurant over looking the Estuary.

Excellent quality of food, with generous portions. We enjoyed the friendly atmosphere.
We all pre booked a table for nine, as we had dogs, but there is also a ' no dogs' restaurant area overlooking the estuary. We left feeling very satisfied.
I recommend the steak sandwich, steak and chips, pasta and burgers. Obviously not all at once. You can expect good portions. Enjoy!

This became our little go to bar over our long weekend. Lovely service and we were lucky with the weather so managed to sit out the back and enjoy the views unfortunately they were doing some maintenance on the decking so it was a bit noisy, but I realise its a job that needs to be done. We also ate here on one evening which we booked. The food was lovely, I can definitely recommend the fish pie. Just a great place, definitely recommend

Great as always.. despite it being my ‘local’ when I was (much) younger I can’t recall ever eating here- but came here last night with the family and it was lovely. We all had different meals and all were perfect.
Lovely views, lovely atmosphere- thanks a lot :)

The atmosphere was second to none with a real buzz about the place and live music (shanty band) playing. The starters were unreal with the Manchego fries and the pork belly scratchings being a highlight. The main was a slight let down with the burger being a little dry for me and my wife but overall really good and would go again. In summer it has a lovely terrace overlooking the water.

Simply outstanding. Great little pub and restaurant with proper local atmosphere. The staff were very friendly and welcoming and the food was first class. I’d normally take some photos but couldn’t stop once I’d started. Would DEFINITELY return and recommend.

If you are looking for a fun Saturday night out then pop in top the Beaver Inn in Appledore. Lovely staff, good food and a great atmosphere with a live band. The scenery isn't too bad either!

Great food, huge portions, had to leave with a doggy bag. Very quiet Friday late lunch. Had our own private room.
