I still think about the salt and pepper onion on a daily basis. I wish I had their recipe!

I loved that duck was so prevalent on Chinese menus throughout the country, and that it was cheap. That's hard to find at home. We had hoped the roasted duck chow mein would have a little more in the way of vegetables, but even without, it was delicious. The duck was so good. But the star of the show was the fried onions doused in their salt and pepper mixture. They were definitely salty (duh, but we're also a low-sodium household so we're a bit more sensitive), but that didn't stop the two of us from demolishing the dish. I loved that in addition to the fried onion chunks, there were sautéed onions and mildly spicy chillis alongside. I could have eaten a whole pile of those on their own!

I mean this with all the compassion and love, Fat Panda Takeaway: I'm so glad I don't live in Portree or that you're not located where I live because I would be broke because I'd eat your food all the time!

Service was quick despite there being a line. The woman behind the counter was very nice. The food came out hot and stayed hot for a long time. The prices were good too. Cannot complain.

If you are vegan or veggie this place is great, tofu options were amazing and the portion sizes are big. Can’t wait to go back here

Called for a nice easy tea tonight.....wasn't disappointed. Food was amazing and well priced. Salt and chilli shredded chicken is amazing with some curry sauce and fried rice. Loved it!!!!!!

Delicious Chinese take away in Skye. Super speedy service and delicious dishes.

We got the salt and pepper squid- best I've ever had. King Prawn cashew (delicious), black bean tofu and broccoli in ginger sauce and egg fried rice.

Ordered it on our way there because I read that local ordering is paid by cash. Done within 20 minutes. Great taste, generous portions. Great to bring back to our camping.

Easy order (including card payment) online. Our food was very good, especially the vegetables, not overcooked. Packing contains much plastic but is reusable for private use.

This is our second time in Skye and this is the second time we've ordered from the Fat Panda. The food is good and the portions were very fair.

The food was very tasty and much needed after a long day of walking and exploring.

We ordered online for a pick up, as this allowed to sit in a pub whilst our food was being prepared. You can pay by card, but the value of your order must be £15+.

Stayed at Portree for 2 nights, second one we decided to get take away from the Fat Panda. Food was well served, quality was excellent and tastefull.

We were staying at a B&B in Portree on the Isle of Skye on a Sunday night while on a 2 day tour, went into town and found restaurants were either all booked up or closed. By chance we found the Fat Panda Chinese takeaway was open and ordered our dinner there to take back to the B&B to eat. The food order was taken quickly, and food prepared for us also quickly. Back at the B&B I found Fat Panda had made the best Kung Pao Chicken I ever had (and I've eaten more than my share of Kung Pao) and my wife's noodle soup was also very good. Even if you can get into one of the Portree restaurants, consider an excellent Chinese meal from Fat Panda.

This place was amazing. Great food and fast service. I highly recommend this place. I’m from the USA, but will return to Skye just to eat Fat Panda 🤤

Very grateful as vegans to have found this place! Lots of vegan and vegetarian options clearly marked. We had the Broccoli in ginger sauce, the tofu with mixed veg, and the tofu in sze chuan sauce. All delicious! You can pay by card if you order online, and can pick it up within 20-25 min. In person orders are only in cash.

We ended up there as all other restaurants were packed. The food was delicious and the meals are large. Honsetly, after trying other restaurants the day after, I can say that this is the best food in portree. Taking a meal and eating it in the main square or just at the hotel is much better than most options there.

Ordered via phone for collection. The food is incredible, one of the best Chinese takeaways I’ve ever had. We ordered the salt & pepper chicken, x2 fried rice and the chicken and broccoli. All excellent and reasonably priced.

Service was OUTRSGEOUSLY fast. If you can manage to keepvyour food warm on the way home, it is STUPENDOUS.

Good food. reasonable prices. Friendly and fast service. Cash only when I visited so no card payments accepted maybe when you do? Can't believe another reviewer on here marked it down and had a little moan that rice didn't come with most dishes. What planet are you from? Don't forget to order yourself some reasonably priced rice or noodles too!! Fab, yum and happy to recommend.

Fresh and tasty Chinese food to takeaway in the centre of Portree. I phoned ahead and the food was ready to collect quickly. Note that cash payment is preferred.

They have a great selection of Chinese food and a good range of vegitarian/vegan options.
I had prawn crackers and spring rolls for starters and the chow mein noodles and tofu in black bean sauce for main, which was very tasty.

Arrived at this take away, placed order (please take your masks), and was ready in about 15 mins - amazing considering it’s summer (high tourist season), and a Saturday evening! Special chow mein was delicious, as were the salt and pepper ribs.

Highly recommend grabbing a feed from Fat Panda!! We had special fried rice and beef in black bean sauce. Delicious!!!! The service was great and even though they were incredibly busy, I didn't have to wait long for my order. I went for a very quick walk down to Portree Harbour, took a couple of pics and by the time I got back, dinner was waiting for me.
