Maggie's Aberfoyle Kitchen

What a delight ! It's a must if passing through. The owner and staff are so lovely and friendly. The apples are hand picked and everything is freshly baked. So many options ! From red velvet cookies to flavoured scones ! Fresh made apple jelly and jams and chutneys. The red velvet cookies were amazing. Get yourself there ! You won't regret it !

This is the sweetest little shop I've ever been in! The service, the lovely atmosphere set by the owners/employees and not to mention the jam, jellies and chutneys are absolutely amazing! We bought roughly 5 jams, 2 chutneys and 4 jellies (most of were gifts) I had the honey Berry plum&cinnamon jam, mango chutneys and rowan jelly which were all delightful. I did not try the other jams but the people I gave them to finished in a week! The tablet is also to die for ❤ overall great conversion, experience and products. Will be back very soon.

Wow!! This shop is fantastic!! The minute you walk in, you’re hit by the smell of fresh baking and you can see the staff making cakes in the kitchen. The shelves are full of a wide variety of freshly baked cakes. A mixture of full loaves and individually boxed cakes. The staff all seem to friendly and it’s such a lovely atmosphere ☺

We ordered our wedding cake from Maggie. It was phenomenal. We ordered the carrot cake, lemon drizzle and chocolate. Carrot cake is the best we have ever had. The team and Maggie are so lovely and kind. We also bought some of her extra treats which are delcious. Well worth a visit and if you're looking for someone to do your wedding cake then look no further than Maggie.

Maggie is our favorite baker ever!! We love her! Every time we go hiking or up to Loch Ard, we stop by and see what seasonal products she has. She’s always putting out something new.

From her jams to her shortbread, chutneys to tablet, she’s got the best recipes and best tasting homemade products.

My husband said her strawberry scone (seasonal) were the lightest, best tasting scones he’s had.

Maggie works hard and always has a smile for you! She’s a wonderful person and I highly recommend stocking up if you enjoy treats, cakes, jams and more :) she also offers a vegan shortbread that is fantastic!!

When the delicious smell of fresh baked ginger cake hangs in the air and there is a plethora of tasty goodies on offer, who wouldn't be happy! Add to that friendly staff and you've got a winning combination. There is almost too much to chose from but we were tempted by the jams, chutneys and scones as well as Scottish must haves; tablet and shortbread. The tablet, (like nearly everything else from Maggie's is made fresh on site) uses real butter unlike other mass produced brands. A real must try if you are in the town.

Thank you so much Maggie for your tremendous work making our wedding cake. We have had so many people comment on how tasty it was (especially the fruit cake!), and how beautiful it looked. We couldn't have been happier and I would recommend anyone looking for a wedding cake to go and chat to Maggie!

There's a fantastic range of chutneys, jams, tablet, fudge and so much more.

I settled for a delicious jar of Rhubarb and Ginger jam, a small bag of original flavoured tablet and a bag of homemade shortbread.

The perfect selection of little treats to take a bit of Aberfoyle back with us!

What an absolute treat this shop is in every sense of the word! The first time I have been here and I will most certainly be back to stock up for Christmas. On entering the shop I was greeted very warmly by Maggie, she and two other staff members were hard at work baking and stocking the shelves but they all took the time to have a wee chat with me when I asked what they were baking as the aroma was wonderful and Maggie answered questions I had whilst I was deciding out of the delightful selection of goods in the shop what I wanted to buy. I settled on the Bailey's tablet, small Christmas fruit cake and marmalade made with oranges and drambuie everything is absolutely delicious. I cannot recommend this wee gem of a place highly enough.

Maggie made our wedding cake and it was simply divine. We had 3 layers. Chocolate, lemon and carrot cake. Each absolutely amazing, the carrot cake was my personal favourite and is without doubt the best I've ever had. Our guests were also raving about the lemon drizzle, so much so that I didn't even get any. Maggie herself could not of been lovier or more helpful, such a nice lady. We are international travellers, we were blown overby Maggies shop. How could a staff of 2 make so many different products and keep them all fresh? We loved their hospitality and happy friendship and best of all, every thing we bought there. Fabuloso!!Neil & Susan

Nice little bakeshop! Friendly and helpful staff. Bought some apple cinnamon cookies for my husband, who enjoyed them. Delicious shortbread too. Peanut butter chocolate cookies were just okay. Also sells scones.

The smell coming from this shop front is nothing short of divine. The service is incredibly friendly and the products are gorgeous. Everything is handmade in store, from their jams, chutnies, scones, biscuits, and more. Definitely stop in to see what beautiful things this little bakery has to offer.

Was in there with a friend at the weekend getting overwhelmed by the selection of jams and chutneys. I've just tried their Honeyberry Jam on one of their freshly baked scones and I'm in heaven. See you again soon ❤

Maggie made me a beautiful cake for my mum and Dad's Diamond anniversary.. delicious and so moist!

A big thank you to Maggie and her staff for the delicious cake she organised for my husband's 65th birthday celebration. I live in Belfast & was arranging a party with family in Scotland at a venue close to Aberfoyle, so was very glad that all was in hand on my arrival. The cake was decorated perfectly in the way that I had asked and tasted so good. Can't recommend Maggie's highly enough. A job well done!

Stumbled upon this place while visiting Aberfoyle, the owner was so lovely and we really enjoyed the cheese scones, now looking forward to trying the sticky gingerbread! Very good prices compared to a lot of other places, will have to come back on my next visit

Lovely freshly baked cakes and biscuits. Bought shortbread, cakes & biscuits - all so tasty. Staff are so friendly and helpful too. It's not officially a gluten-free place due to the size of the kitchen but their peanut butter cookies don't have gluten and I tried and ate those and was fine. Great place, definitely worth going.
