This is a great spot to take a break if you’re out for a walk. My girlfriend and I enjoyed some tea and scones here. What truly stood out was the service—exceptionally friendly and impressively prompt. We’re definitely planning to return!

Delicious coffee and homemade cookies, especially the coconut cake.
Would definitely recommend it. A great vegetarian menu if required as well. The lady owner is very friendly, all in all, a great stop to refuel after a woodland walk.

Lovely wee place. Great food and coffee. Huge tea selection (didn't try in this occasion). Really friendly and welcoming staff. Could not have done more to make us welcome.

Great place for a coffee & cake break from walking or cycling. Tearoom owner was lovely. 😍 We popped by a couple of times in our holiday week. Dog friendly. The tearoom is a great setting (as seen in the remake of the 39-step film).

Popped in for a coffee & ended up having lunch. Very reasonably priced, especially considering everything is handmade! Delicious coffee too, will definitely return when we're in the area again

AMAZING!!! Best lunch/dinner I've eaten in years hands down. Service, quality, food, setting, everything 10/10. If only I lived closer! Gets very busy rightly so, limited seating. Worth a wait.

Lovely little tearoom, gorgeous latte. No food tried, but it is vegan. Famous for being in the 1959 film The 39 Steps with Kenneth Moore, although no indication of this on site, and it has been slightly modernised.

Delicious home made Moroccan tomato soup with soda bread for lunch today. Homemade fruit scones very tasty too. Cosy, friendly tea room

We went into the tea. Everything looks fine. But I am sorry to say, I have a very fussy girlfriend in what she eats. So we had to leave.
Sorry about that.

The owner has done wonders transforming this place to a place that needs to be visited.
The first time we called on our way back from a long walk, we enjoyed cake and a drink. The second time, we were going to eat in Callender but decided to revisit the Tearoom again, such was the hospitality and we were not disappointed.
Although the owner was working solo the day we called in for lunch, she did a fantastic job, keeping everyone fed and watered, all added with a huge dose of humour and a big smile.
She serves vegetarian foods, freshly prepared and locally sourced, if possible. Our plates arrived brimming with food, a fine balance of colours, including multi coloured beetroot slices.
The Tearoom resounded to much laughter and a great friendly atmosphere. We felt very much at home here

A small, cosy tea room with a rustic, wood cabin atmosphere. You wont be able to bring a buggy in (too cramped) but the staff are child friendly and good quality high chairs and a children's menu are available. We just popped in for tea and cakes, both absoluetely delicious.

Excellent light lunch at this tearoom. Although extremely busy, staff were very efficient and didn't have too long to wait for delicious food. We had soup and caramelised onions and mozzarella panini, also lovely gingerbread to take away.

Amazing food in lovely wee cosy setting. You'd be hard pressed to discover this place without a recommendation (which we got). So try this if you're in the area. You will love it.

Called in after enjoyable walk in the area. Excellent home cooked food. The goulash hit the spot and the wife's sea bass special was exceptional.
There are some really good walks nearby and if you are in the area give this place a try. Very friendly service included in the price.

Excellent service and hospitality. Scones were still warm just out of the oven.
We stopped here to wait for our daughter who was walking the rob roy macmillan cancer marathon. A hidden gem would highly recommend 👌
