If I move to Scotland...I blame the Forth Inn! Where to begin!?!?! They pride themselves on winning Dog Friendly Pub of the Year! My people! All Scottish beers ON TAP! The food, the food! Wow! The lentil soup was the most flavorful I've ever had, warms the belly and fed my soul! The salmon and prawns how did they do it! I wanted to lick the plate! Tip of the hat to the chef! On to the Inn...
Located in the heart of Aberfoyle. Amazingly friendly people and staff. The rooms are just lovely, cozy, clean, warm. They are updated and the beds are comfy, fresh linens. There's even a beautiful communal library/coffee room with elegant woodworking. The function room behind the bar is something to peek at if you get a chance! The building is steeped in history! I mean if you are in Aberfoyle and don't visit the Forth Inn, you haven't been to Aberfoyle!

Always pop into the bar/restaurant when we pass it. The staff is friendly, great outdoor seating area or a nice pub inside. You also have a restaurant. Lots of beer on tap, and prices are reasonable. The food is good quality and worth the cost. The salmon starter is recommended. Nice atmosphere on a sunny day inside or out. Recommended. It's a great location for people biking or walking around the local area.

Great wee pub for lunch. Dog friendly, which is great and the food was very nice too. The staff were lovely, and the service was quick. Couldn't recommend it more. If you're in the area, then The Forth Inn is definitely worth a visit.

My tour stopped in Aberfoyle for lunch. If you have a look, this IS where you Will be able to eat the BEST local food. I have salmon with prawns and rice and was delicious with a beer. Staff was great and corteous. Certainly recommend to anyone and Will certainly come back if in the area.

We ate dinner twice at the restaurant while on holiday in Aberfoyle. The salmon, chicken and haggis, and steak and ale pie were all very good. Good selection of drinks.

Tasty and hearty food (some veggie options) at good prices, has parking, surrounded by beautiful scenery. Dog friendly is an understatement.

Trickiest thing is the fun road to get there, don't cook your brakes!

Quaint wee pub, next to a car park, with a large restaurant area to accomodate groupes which looks like a Clan chief banqueting hall, quite amazing.
Food/drinks were very good and the staff absolutely lovely, warm welcome, doing their utmost to answer all requests.
Do recommend 100%

Very friendly and helpful staff who helped us with safe and dry space for bikes. Stayed for three nights and ate there twice - very tasty evening meals with super light beer batter for the fish and a delicious salmon and pasta dish.

Agree with some reviews that some features of the rooms were a little tired but cleanliness not an issue.

Thanks again guys, lovely last night playing scrabble and listening to peat and diesel!

The food here is superb, and not your average pub grub! Top quality and fresh. Highly recommended the salmon and prawns in garlic & paprika sauce!

Went in here for a meal. Very good service and the food was excellent. Best steak and ale pie I've had, plenty of tender steak, beautiful pastry. Highly recommended.

The staff are pretty casual, it is hard to distinguish them from customers, they are also pretty casual with the way they speak to the customers as well.
That being said, we did not have a reservation and were lucky to get a table as they turned a number of people away even though there were empty tables for our entire time there, though they had reserved signs on them.
We had a great meal that was delicious and filling.

Cosy pub with amazing food! I had balmoral chicken and it was amazing! Kids portions were brilliant. Steak pie went down a treat. Can’t wait to go back to aberfoyle. Warmed our hearts on a difficult day. Lovely wee place. Appears to have what looked like a medieval banqueting suite for functions. So cool 👌🏼

Stooped here for lunch after a nice walk. We sat outside to make the most of a sunny day. We had the smoked salmon and fish and chips and both were fresh and tasty and good size portions. Friendly and helpful staff.

We had a lovely overnight stay here with our dog. Comfortable room with an excellent breakfast. Our dog even got his own sausage cooked up for breakfast! The staff were very friendly and welcoming.

Decent food, but the highlight is really the staff. I am literally speechless about how nice they ALL are … they put a table in front of the fireplace for us, kept on checking, always smiling… Massive kudos to all of them, it was my first meal in Scotland and I am amazed by how nice people are. Thank you

We didn’t actually stay at the hotel but we did hold our wedding meal and evening in the large function room on 17 September 2021 which was amazing. Lee and all of the team at the forth inn were fantastic, my wife and I could not have asked for it to be any more perfect and all of our guests had an amazing time. The food was fantastic, the atmosphere and medieval decor was just perfect. We could not recommended the forth inn highly enough. Thanks Thomas and Zoo ♥
