Central Cafe and Tearooms

Beautiful building - decent lunch with a nice view from the 1st floor. Great tea and coffees. Reasonable prices.

Called in for lunch on a day visit yo Stamford. The cafe was very busy but we were offered a seat upstairs. It was right next to the window which was lovely. Waitress told us that there would be about a 15 minute wait for our food and that was about spot on. We ordered paninis and coffee and were very happy with our meals. The bread was fresh, the fillings were good and the salad and crisps were nice additions. Our coffees were nice and hot. Staff were lovely and friendly. We would definitely recommend and go back again.

My friend took me here for a light lunch on Sunday as I was visiting for the weekend. It was lovely. We had toasted tea cakes which were scrummy! Lovely place so old and full of character. The staff were friendly and efficient. We nipped back later for another cup of tea.

Great place - set in a beautiful period building (care needed if you eat upstairs as the stairs are steep and winding) - lovely atmosphere, great food and lovely staff.

Great food and service. We went for breakfast on the hottest weekend of the year so the aircon was much appreciated!

Lots of options on the menu and we couldn’t resist adding a scone to our full English breakfasts!!

Excellent food. I had a panini, my husband had the chicken burger, and my parents had a sarni and jacket potato. We all enjoyed every last bite. The mango smoothie and banana shake was lapped up as well. Will definitely be returning.

Really cool medieval feel very friendly staff and good prices. The food was extremely good especially the English breakfasts first visit and definitely won't be the last.

Central tea room is a visit for anyone visiting Stamford. The staff we're very friendly, helpful and polite. Coffee was alot better than your coffee shop chains. Their cakes and pastries are very tasty, the best coffee I've ever had. Cheers Central tea room for making my visit memorable.

Called in whilst on a day out in Stamford. Very nice place and has been in the town for many years so must be doing something right. Nice & clean, friendly staff good food and a great cappuccino ☕

We had a lovely afternoon tea at the Central today and the 4 of us were looked after wonderfully. Nothing too much trouble, unlimited tea and water top ups. Lovely food, cakes, scones. The facilities are spotless and the staff were attentive. Highly recommended 😃

Wonderful place to get food. My cousin is over from Canada and loves the place and always asks to go for a meal. The service was quite. They seem to cater for vegetarians and vegan too which helped us greatly.

Great place for a light lunch. Great food and service and very good value. My wife had tomato soup and a bun and I had an omelette; both meals were excellent and with drinks it was only 20 pounds. For a location in the middle of the town, that is a good deal. There is lots of space upstairs with good views from the large window. We will be back.

First visit today , we sat upstairs and had very tasty sandwich and panini with garnish and crisps . Lovely atmosphere and a restful stop on a very cold and busy Stamford. Next time we are in Stamford we will return , highly recommended.

Fantastic lunch with the family today. Although it was very busy, the team handled everything very well and the food, which was very tasty, came promptly. The serving staff were polite and in good spirits.

We were staying in Bourne but came to Stamford for the day. The full English breakfast here is outstanding. The sausages and bacon are so tasty and good quality. I had poached egg with mine. Its got to be the best I've had for years.

Stopped in Stamford to stretch legs and have lunch. We found Central Cafe on our walk. All four of us ordered and were served quickly. The waitress was in n her game as everything came exactly as ordered by each of us. I had the bacon, brie and avocado panini. It was excellent! Will stop here again if the chance arises.
