Can’t fault this place. Possibly the most atmospheric pub in Stamford and that’s saying something as there are some gems in town.

Great beer selection, the service is always friendly and the pizza has been really good when we’ve eaten there. Kids approved of the fish and chips!

Highly recommend.

I visited the Tobie Norris for the first time on Monday 29 January 2024. What a stunning, old building it is, beautifully restored with seating on three floors. Mind the steep stairs though! Very friendly service from the young lady behind the bar on the ground floor and from the two waiters, who brought our food to the table on the second floor. Usually they offer table service, where you can order food and drinks at the table but, on the night we visited, they were short-staffed and we had to order our food and drinks at the bar. No problem for us as the place was fairly quiet and the stairs weren't an issue. We had three different pizzas and three different desserts and everything was absolutely delicious. I will definitely go back and I would definitely recommend.

A great place for meeting with family and friends. The food is top notch and well presented, you wont be dissapointed.
During our visit the staff were accommodating and helpful, the building itself is full of character and is a nice retreat.
They are dog friendly and provided our dog with water and treats.

Had a fab Sunday roast. Our waitress, Penny was amazing and was telling us some stories about the building. It’s so gorgeous inside, like stepping back in time. Would definitely love to return when I’m next in the area.

Friendly service and we were able to book a table as it was very popular on Saturday. Happy it was dog friendly too! Bit of a wait for food because it was so busy but delicious food as always.

Great little pub. Attended a party in one of the function rooms. The staff was very nice and helpful. We had a selection of pizzas, which were all very tasty. Will definitely come back for a drink.

Not so much a local, more of a local treasure. Always take friends that visit and those from abroad love its charm, history and quirky layout.
Food is above average but it's not a place to have a gourmet dinner, just good quality food which suits the pub. Can be considered as a bit pricey but there are special deals on the pizza and it's worth the little extra.

Great find recommended by the manager at the Crown as they were full. Menu is OK for a Sunday. We had mac and cheese with mixed meat on the side. Relatively expensive but the ambience made it worthwhile.

OMG! If you only go out for Sunday lunch once this year, go here. Absolutely fabulous food, very traditional home cooked. Great choice of meats, some starters you don't see on many menus and desserts to die for. Just be prepared to lose your trousers and sleep all afternoon!! Excellent location, brilliant friendly staff with great choice of real ales, gins and cider. Loved it and will be going back once I can shift the weight! 🤔😁 The shared whole chicken with seasonal veg was particularly gorgeous and the shared dipping chocolate plateau for dessert, Mmm, Mmm, Mmm. Dogs very welcome.

A cozy and popular pub with fantastically tasting food and huge sized portions. Really good comfort/traditional pub food and a wide range of alcoholic beverages. The mayonnaise comes in big size Stokes packets which was impressive.

Great food, atmosphere and staff. Dog friendly book early as it gets very busy. Downstairs is far better for less mobile

We visited here on a Sunday fairly late as it seemed to be the only pub around serving food. We travelled from Tallington where we spent the night. We were not disappointed, it might have been the only choice but the food, drinks and service were all excellent. We visit Tallington regularly, normally eat locally, however in future we will come back here. Food quality, portion size and value for money were all brilliant. We sat in the beer garden, although small it still felt open.
