We had lunch here on Thursday after a lovely walk and it was one of the best meals I have had out in a long time we both had the Ale pie my God it didn't disappoint it covered half the plate and it came with plenty of gravy.
Will definitely be visiting again and would highly recommend it .

Came for a birthday treat with my daughter today. Very friendly welcome. Love all the nostalgia inside. We both had the 8oz matured Aberdeen Angus sirloin steak. The service was really quick. The food was amazing. It smelled lovely. Tasted fabulous and melted in our mouths. Plates not overloaded but we were stuffed when we had finished. Will definitely be back with the rest of the family. 5☆s

Wonderful pub by the river and rightly popular. Good selection of reasonably priced food, well cooked. Large portion of fish & chips was very welcome after our journey.

The food was fantastic. Good choice of menu. Anything from a bar snacks. Light bite to a main meal.There is even a special board.

Returned today to try a meal and the quality well exceed the price, beautiful food in a stunning location that does not empty your wallet.

Return visit, we stopped off by chance as it was a nice sunny day, beautiful atmosphere in the beer garden and nice to see a well spaced out tables making it easier for ♿. Look forwards to our next meal here.

Beautifully positioned by the Severn. Reasonably priced: I had the prawn salad @£10, which was very generous portion wise. The jacket pot with tuna mayo also looked lovely and not bad @£7.

Visited while staying locally after walking our dog on a cold bright day this week. Staff were great and very accommodating with our large nervous dog. We enjoyed the meals on both occasions that we visited - lovely food and great value. In warmer weather the garden overlooking the river must be beautiful but we enjoyed the warmth of the log burner instead.
Highly recommended.

Fantastic pub! Locals are a nice bunch to. Food is wholesome pub food, makes okes stomach happy. Lager is cold, Ale is fresh and wine choice is good.

A lovely riverside pub with great beers and a good and varied food menu. Prices are good and the food is well prepared and tasty. Prices are very reasonable. Heartily recommend a visit if you're passing by.

Had a great birthday meal with the grandchildren who are made very welcome. Lovely atmosphere. Good food and beer. Will be back, can't wait for summer to sit outside!

Party of 16 booked in ahead for lunch for the Shropshire Christian Walkers Group. Tables reserved and all sat with comfort. We preordered the food we wanted. no trouble at all when additional food orders were added to the party. All food turned up promptly beautifully presented excellent portion sizes. Highlights on our table were the cajun chicken salad obviously cooked fresh with a wonderful selection of spices. The angus burger cooked to perfection. juicy with lots of flavour. The cheese melt and lasagne portions very generous and fresh. The gammon chips and egg with peas also tender juicy and well presented. Service was excellent prompt and with a smile. The lady calling out the orders fantastic sense of humour and very cheerful. Definitely worth it pop in and enjoy a good selection of ales as well... their specials board is well populated so you will always have plenty of choice. they have a separate gluten free menu so you can choose well here.

Fantastic local pub with super friendly staff and a great menu. Dog friendly, log burner and fabulous view over the river at Jackfield. Easy 15 min walk from Holiday cottage Drake Cottage Jackfield Ironbridge Gorge.

Absolutely great place, traditional pub with traditional pub grub but it was very tasty 😋 When was the last time you raved about a chicken breast? Well we did here. 👍
