Been for afternoon tea today and the quality of the food as well as the service was absolutely perfect. The food was so fresh and handmade too. The lady who took care of us was so friendly and it was obvious she wanted us to have a great experience. Would absolutely visit again, didn't even know they existed until today so true hidden gem!

Wow! Would give our festive afternoon tea more than 5 stars if I could. Such a lovely selection of food, we took a lot away with us as we couldn’t eat it all. Delicious cakes, lovely festive atmosphere in the cafe too. We’ll be back!

Fab food and service, great that they cater to various dietary requirements and loved the veggie sausage roll meal. Will definitely return again and try an afternoon tea!

Met for brunch. It was excellent, at £12 to £15 per head. Generous portion sizes of home cooked food from quality ingredients. Friendly staff and a good atmosphere. There is outdoor seating and upstairs function room (presumably additional seating when non-functioning, iyswim). Nicely and elegantly decorated.
Dog friendly.

Came for afternoon tea on Friday afternoon. It was empty upstairs so we had the place to ourselves. With a newborn it was just the perfect environment to relax and enjoy the afternoon tea. The food was amazing, i would definitely ask to try to chilli jam and a baileys hot chocolate. Excellent service, the staff helped me carry the cot up and down the stairs. I would definitely come back to try the main menu. We couldn't finish the afternoon tea so boxed up to take home 😁

A lovely, great value, quirky cafe. Fantastic atmosphere and staff. People with Coeliac disease are well catered for with staff having family members who have the disease. The choices are plentiful. The food wonderful.
Breakfast is served till 11.30. Lunch from 12.00.
There is an upstairs room for additional seating or for party bookings. There is also outside seating.
dogs are welcome, with free treats available. Welcomes walkers, which is great as it is within the gorge.
There is parking available. The cafe us in the craft centre with many specialised craft shops.

I don't write reviews very often, but this is an exception. I am a regular customer at the Tile Press Café and have always been treated to a 5 star experience. The staff are super helpful, friendly and kind. The food and drink are served quickly and the quality is always exceptional. Definitely value for money. We have tried both the breakfast and lunch menus and were not disappointed, definitely a 5 ⭐, would highly recommend visiting.

Afternoon tea. Sandwiches, savoury scones, quiche, salad and crisps. Couldn't even manage the top layer of puds, so took home to eat.
We went later on, so it was quiet and we ate upstairs. Happily go back and eat it again.

Really tasty food, the Full English was more than I could actually manage and at a good price, staff were really nice, dog friendly too, wish there were more cafes like this.

Fabulous cafe located in the Maws Craft Centre, refurbished and re-opened in January 2019. A great selection of food made by the exceptionally talented Jess and her team, welcoming dig friendly atmosphere and a perfect coffee, what more could you ask for! Checkout the artwork from local talent on the walls, and visit the craft businesses in the rest of the centre while your there.

Despite us arriving when they were the busiest they have been this year, we were served quickly and the food came pretty quickly too. Lovely place, really good food, reasonable price (£6 for a fantastic pasty and a large Latte, reasonable in my book😋)and good service. They were even happy to come and chat once the mayhem had subsided, heartily recommend

We had a lovely afternoon tea on Saturday, great selection, met our specific dietary requirements, plenty of food & waitress explained everything to us. Making it an enjoyable experience for us all, especially as we brought friends from Dublin. Would go again & highly recommend, thank you
