Would definitely recommend Lovesgrove Country Guest House as a base for exploring Pembroke. Located within quiet grounds, our room was spacious and spotlessly clean, and the linen smelled so fresh. Beds were comfortable, and it was very quiet at night resulting in a restful sleep. Cooked breakfast was delicious, and the pastries were fresh. We were very impressed and could not have asked for more.

After messing up my accommodation dates and arriving in on the late boat I found myself bedding down in my jeep for the night as no where was open. With the help of a lovely girl at the port she arranged a bed a Lovesgrove guest house for me at 3am. John couldn't have been nicer and runs a fantastic, spotlessly clean guest house with a warm Welsh welcome from him and the girls. I will be back. Thanks again

I visited while my partner was working that way and he was staying here,,well what can I say what a beautiful,,welcoming family run business,, I chatted with Laura and Debbie quiet abit and they told us places to visit for food,,places to go for walks..they had the time to answer any questions and just took the time to help in anyway they could..I'm sad I won't get chance to go stay again as partner moving on,,but if we go back that way it will be first place we shall try to rebook..keep up the amazing work xx

This was our first time in Pembrokeshire, and the Lovesgrove County guest house was a great /ideal place to stay in heart of the area .It’s a lovely family run establishment,John was such a lovely person, who is a fountain of knowledge to guide you to the best places to visit.Gemma is the most wonderful host for you,and is so warm and welcoming. Not forgetting the lovely Debbie as well, meeting them all made our trip even more memorable& special.
The rooms are lovely, with all adequate extras in the room, power shower& rainforest shower was great….and lovely and clean .But next time I will upgrade to the bigger bedroom in the new quarters of property.Breakfast is lovely and hot , and there is also a breakfast bar for cereal and fruit …and fruit juices and water .
I can’t wait to return in the distant future, and explore more of the beautiful Welsh countryside.
Thank you for such a wonderful stay !!

I stayed at this property with my 3 friends and what an experience it was. The property is well-maintained with wonderful backdrop view of a lush green hillock. The owner John is a very pleasant and welcoming host adding more positives to the already fantastic experience. The rooms are very cozy and home-like with additional access to common lounge and breakfast tables. You also get access to the kitchen incase you need anything specific. The morning breakfast was again great and served hot and fresh by very hospitable staff. I am definitely going to stay here again soon, this time with my family :)

A wonderful experience overall from start to finish. I called John directly to book a room last minute. He was very helpful on the phone and I knew we were going to have a wonderful time in our short stay.

Laura his daughter is GM and couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. She's so friendly and welcoming, we had some lovely chats, and I wished we were staying longer!

Here are some bullet points before this becomes an essay:

- Service impeccable. They couldn't have done more for us.
- Gorgeous views
- Well decorated and maintained throughout.
- Powerful, hot showers
- Spacious rooms
- Quiet location, great for sleep.
- Comfy mattress
- Great breakfast options, both continental and cooked.

Only 2 points of constructive criticism which are both easy fixes.

- Pillows in room 10 need replacing. They've lost their life/comfort and are hard and flat.
- Bacon was excellent lovely and thick, but sausage on breakfast wasn't tasty. Wasn't as good quality as the bacon.

Myself and my partner came to stay at this lovely guest house in February 2023. The guest house was great, bedroom was beautiful, breakfast was tasty and the people were polite and nothing was ever too much for them. Honestly so kind, thank you for such a lovely stay!

We have just returned from a fantastic 3 night stay and will definitely be returning.
John and his daughter Laura are such welcoming hosts, very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. We received an email from John two weeks before our visit with a list of recommended restaurants and a note explaining that everywhere was getting booked up really quickly. We took his advice and had some fantastic meals especially one at a restaurant called The Brewery.
The accommodation is spotlessly clean. We stayed in Room number 10 which is huge and the shower in the bathroom was also huge and powerful. It has a lovely view of the countryside and was very relaxing.
We were served breakfast by his other daughter on the Sunday morning who was just as lovely as her sister.
It's situated in a very central location for exploring Pembrokeshire and further afield and John and Laura are very knowledgeable and approachable.
We were recommended The Lovesgrove by friends of ours who had recently visited and we will definitely be recommending it to other friends and family members.
Thanks
John and Anne Couch

I don't know where to start.

John and his daughters Jemma and Laura run a fantastic business. They were all superb from the moment we booked 15 months before we stayed to the moment we left.

They can not do enough for their guests. I spent the night here before my wedding and they made us feel so welcome. They went above and beyond; decorating the rooms for us to have our hair and make-up done, they took some fantastic photos of me and my family and bridesmaids before we left and John even took me and my dad to the wedding venue.

It felt more like staying with close family /friends than a guesthouse.

I will definitely stay in touch with this lovely family and will be recommending it to anyone that is travelling to Pembrokeshire or catching the ferry to Ireland!

We had an amazing time staying at the Lovesgrove Country Guest House for 18 nights. John and his daughter made us feel very welcome and he helped us with a lot of difficult things. (finding a solicitor, insurances and other quite complicated things for foreigners) He is a very connected guy and we were very lucky to meet him and he saved us a lot of time. He is also very friendly man. We stayed with our 16 months old son and they did everything to make our stay as pleasant as possible and yes, they succeeded, we had a great time. I can't believe there is better place in this part of Wales to spend your holiday!

I thoroughly recommend Lovesgrove. In a lovely peaceful location but very handy for Pembroke, and easy to get to. Also, there's a Tesco's very close by for anything you need. The guest house is family-run by the nicest people you could hope to meet and are so very helpful, nothing was too much trouble! The rooms are decorated to a very high standard and were spotlessly clean. Sadly for me, I had to leave early and miss breakfast but was given a most excellent takeaway food bag which was all lovely. Also commendable is the use of local produce throughout. Plenty of parking.

Superb accommodation which I needed at very short notice and unsociable hour! Super large en-suite room with everything you could need, pristine with great attention to detail. Great host John and team. Lovely breakfast.

The room was extremely spacious and accurately reflected on the website. The stay was exactly what you need when facing a time away from home on a work relocation. John and Laura were both very friendly and helpful. You couldn't ask for better hosts. Breakfasts were great with added Welsh lesson. Such a lovely family and I found everyone I met in tbe pub ,office or shops wonderful people on my first visit to South Wales.
I will definitely visit the area again to visit for leisure not work next time.

Beautiful rooms with attention to detail and great location. Fantastic mine host who went the extra mile with his battery charger when we stupidly left the lights on our car overnight. Nothing was too much trouble. Observations from a much travelled business couple.

Warm welcome in a beautiful environment.

Excellent service, good tips on where to eat, to fill the tank and what to visit.

We are a bit sad that we only stayed one night in the guesthouse. It looks luxurious, without being posh. There is nice artwork on the wall.
My husband was glad with the right height of the shower.

It's one of our favourite places up until now.

This was a last minute decision to go for a couple of nights and came across Lovesgrove so we booked it straight away, the owner John is one of the most nicest people we have ever met he spoke with us as if we have known him for years! He actually called when we were on our way there as we got caught in a bit of traffic going down (it was a Friday afternoon) so we arrived a little later than we said we'd be there, he met us on arrival talked us through everything then showed us to our room which was absolutely beautiful very clean and smelled lovely! Breakfast was also delicious 😋 everything about this place is just beautiful and surrounded by the countryside we'll definitely be visiting again soon, p.s the double shower was divine I wanted to take it home with me! If your looking to stay in or around the area I definitely recommend to book here you don't need to look for anywhere else to stay.
