The restaurant was comfortable and beautifully decorated with copper antiques. The menu was good and varied. The food was excellently prepared. Service was very good - both friendly and professional. We really liked this place.

I didn't stay here so I can't rate the rooms
It's really old, think the Deeds go back to 1532?
Lovely atmosphere with nicely served, tasty food
Portions are very generous too.

We didn't stay at the hotel but had dinner there. What a great moment we had ! The food was excellent, the battered cod was cooked to perfection and the steak pie was delicious. The kids had homemade burgers : so good that they finished everything although the portions were huge ! The sticky toffee pudding was incredible. Many thanks to all members of staff who were very professional, friendly and very patient with our not-so-good english 😉

This review is just for the Sunday roasts as I've not stayed here.

The Sunday roasts were recommended to me by someone local and so we decided a visit was definitely needed. I love a good roast and I've had more than my fair share over the years. I have to say that the roasts here are probably the best I've ever eaten. They are THAT good!

Can't recommend this experience enough. This will be a regular for me! Just superb 🥰

Lovely, relaxed hotel in the centre of town. After a six hour drive, the hot, deep bath was the best I've had in years. Engaging and informative owner. Breakfast perfect. Had evening meal as extra, also very good. Great selection of ales and ciders too. Overall a fantastic home from home stay and will definitely return in the future.

Absolutely fantastic hospitality and food. Spent Good Friday and Saturday here as B&B guests and ate here both evenings. The best menu for a long time, options to have battered cockles to start, rainbow trout, sea bream, cod or battered cod then, Kippers for breakfast! Great wine beer and atmosphere! Thanks to ALL we thoroughly enjoyed everything you had to offer, oh yes the omelette for breakfast SO good!

Stopped at the pub for a cup of coffee. The staff were friendly and the service was quick and it was an excellent cup of cappuccino. Probably the best cup of coffee I had all week.👍

Traveled all around Europe and this is the best food I’ve had so far. I highly recommend the sweet potato hummus, tomato bisque, bread and butter, and local fish. Also, for desserts, the sticky toffee pudding, their strawberry *special, and chocolate ice cream were incredible!! Staff was also so kind and welcoming.

We did not stay in the Hotel. We just popped in for food and real hospitality. No TV. No radio. No noise. Just a magic place where everyone is welcome and feels home. Great food, adorable people and lovely atmosphere. We will come back. Love and light from Yasmin and Giri from the Netherlands 💕

We stayed as a family of three in July, being our first time visiting Pembroke, and we couldn't have felt more welcome. The whole service was five stars. We had such nice conversations with Norman and he recommended such nice places to visit which we did and loved it. We dined at the hotel's restaurant every night and the food is fresh and delicious. I recommend the fish! The hotel is right next to the castle which is a great place to visit too!

The pie was fantastic and we really enjoyed the sticky toffee pudding. Quite rare to find somewhere that does classic dishes so well.

I often stay at this hotel because the service is absolutely excellent. Staff are kind and helpful and go out of their way to make visits enjoyable. Breakfasts are included in the price of the room and are delicious, and evening meals in the restaurant are very tasty indeed. I book several visits in advance as often as I can because the hotel is popular and is often fully booked. The location is only a couple of hundred yards from the spectacular Pembroke Castle and is close to a lovely walk around Pembroke's Mill Pond.

A relaxed and comfortable hotel with a long and fascinating history. Room was clean and spacious, menu catered for all tastes, food was excellent both in quality and presentation and the staff were exceptional. All the signs of a group of people who are proud to work at The Old Kings Arms. We loved it.

I rarely do 5stars but the food on all 4 plates was excellent. 2x steak + Welsh ale pie, slow cooked belly pork, salmon were all tasty and resulted in empty plates. Pleasant and courteous service in friendly surroundings. Never found the car park though
