Poppies is a wonderful nursery, so welcoming, warm and homely for the children. My 1 year old runs in every morning without even glancing back at me ha! Clare is a great manager and very approachable. Jane and Lily in the baby room are so wonderful and kind, I always know he is going to be well looked after with them and get plenty of play and cuddles! Theresa is also absolutely fantastic and so great with the children. He is always so happy when I go to collect him, I’ve never had any concerns and can relax when he is there knowing he is well looked after :)

Poppies was the second nursery I went to visit for my 16month old. I knew as soon as I walked in it would be perfect. And I was not disappointed. I and my little boy love the resources set out that are all everyday objects which encourage imagination and help to develop skills that will be important as children grow. The staff are warm and friendly. I feel confident that my little boy will be well looked after when he’s at Poppies. The communication is great through Tapestry so I know what he’s been up to.

Our 3 year old started going to Poppies in September and loves it. She spends two government funded mornings there but frequently asks when she can go again. The staff are very welcoming and dedicated to caring for the children. There are plenty of activates to occupy her: dress up, messy play, singing, counting, reading, to name but a few. We like the fact that Poppies use Tapestry so we can see what, and how much, she has been eating and, from time to time, they add pictures to show what activities she has been doing. She would love even more children to play with :)

My son started at Poppies back in July a couple of days a week. At first look the children's surroundings and toys are excellent. It felt like home when we walked in and it was just what we wanted for our little boy. He was so excited to go for the first 2 weeks but then the terrible twos and realisation came for him. Everyone had a long, rough road ahead. For the next few months every day Poppies were beyond amazing. They advised me every way they could to help transition my little boy. They would email, message, call and gave me a book so we could pass messages about his feelings from home to school and vice versa. From day one they supported my entire family. They go beyond just "looking after your kid" whilst you go to work. They truly care.
They have so many different activities for the children. They give the children freedom to choose what they would like to do/play, so the children can grow as individuals. They also use tapestry which I love. I get to check up on my son throughout the day. I get to see what he's eaten and what he's been doing. It's so reassuring for me to be able to have that at my fingertips. It was a really hard transition for me to go back to work and I was all my son knew but now Poppies is becoming so much more for my son. He's getting excited to go to school and has made friends. He asks after staff and the other children which goes to show much much time and effort they have put into my son to go from never wanting to leave me to "school? School? School?"
There is so much more I could write about how the team have helped me and my family but the review only let's you write so much! I would recommend Poppies nursery 1000 times over!

One of the best nursery around the area. Very professional and friendly staff. Specially, Trisha and Carly. Great thoughtful setup, " The Curiosity Approach" for early learning and skills development. My child cannot stop talking about how much fun nursery is. Highly recommend anyone who is seeking peace of mind with child care and development.

I have recently placed my son into Poppies Day Nursery, all the staff take there time to get to you know and your little one to ensure you can both get support. I found it difficult to leave my little on his hand of someone else but knowing he was there with the wonderful team and knowing I could call anytime to reassure myself was so helpful and make a difficult time a little easier. Thank you for all you have done.

An amazing and homely environment for your child to grow and learn. They take the time to get to know both your and your child's needs, and always find ways to nurture, inspire and challenge their young minds. Their nursery group is a cut above the rest with well trained carers, and happy children.
