Athro Lounge

We had a working lunch at Athro Lounge. There was a lovely atmosphere where families, couples and people working could enjoy their time. The menu was extensive and varied with separate gluten free and vegan menus. I had the halloumi burger, fries and the chocolate sundae. All were delicious and served very quickly by friendly staff. I look forward to returning the next time I visit Aberystwyth.

Friendly staff. Nice that they have separate vegetarian and gluten free menus. We had a great time. whipped feta with honey was nice. My partner liked his hummus dish. My pulled pork chili was really tasty but my little complaint is the small portion size. There was one big pulled pork piece and a tiny one.

A great place to go for a nice meal with friends as they cater for all tastes.
Could do with more staff on the bar as they were inundated with cocktail orders.
We were lucky enough to visit on quiz night, so that was great fun.
Love the building and the amazing decor.

Really nice place for either a quick coffee or a full meal.
Does a lovely breakfast and has lots of gluten free options as well as veggie options.
Pretty much always has seating available, and you can order using the qr code on your table, which makes it so quick and easy.
But more than anything, I love the decor and feeling this place has.
Also has outside seating which is great in summer.

A very interesting eating experience in a former school building. Well worth a visit to experience the quirky decor, and the food is fabulous with a selection to suit most peoples desires. This is part of a chain, so we intend to try other venues to see if they come up to the same standard. Thoroughly recommend a visit 👌

Another excellent branch of The Lounges chain. Very busy on a Sunday evening but we were accommodated after a short wait in the bar area.
We ordered via the website and our food was brought to our table promptly. We all enjoyed our meals.
The venue is dog friendly.

Dropped by here for lunch whilst visiting my sister and her small baby. We were welcomed and advised although they had no tables we were welcome to wait and order drinks while we waited for a table. The wait wasn't horrendous and was certainly helped by the drinks that arrived quickly!

The food service was very good considering the place was full up, and all our dishes were hot and fresh and delicious. I'll definitely come back here again on my next trip up to Aber!

Such a great restaurant! We visited twice while in Mid Wales. Delicious breakfasts. The mac and cheese is a masterpiece of cheesy pasta. Great coffee too. Staff is attentive and friendly. They don't try to rush you out even when it's packed. A great dining experience.

Enjoyed a very special occasion here last night. The food and service was excellent. A big 'thankyou' to the staff. You done a wonderful job of setting us us up and serving us all in a timely manner. The food was excellent.

A former school converted tastefully. Great service, food first class. Choice of continental beers and largest.

Staff were brilliant. Food was delicious. Served quickly and to our small group altogether.
There wasnt an accessible table for my disabled mum so she had to struggle up 2 steps. (We did try to book a table in advance and our group of 5 was too small for advanced bookings) This also meant my mum did not have access to a toilet very easily either.

Our lovely evening did come to an abrupt halt by an obnoxious woman shouting at our kids that they shouldn't be opening the door so my mum could get out of the building in a wheelchair, despite being shown the access door by staff. Absolutely unnecessary, hopefully she'll never have to be in a wheelchair.

Would I go back? Yeah. The food is too good to resist. An ability to prebook for wheelchair users, however small the group, really would have helped our group throughout the evening.

I loved the atmosphere of the place, with a vintage-like decor and being in what looks like an old church/chapel. The service was very friendly and we had a lovely lunch here. Highly recommended if you're looking for a place to eat away from the crowds along the beach side with a chilled vibe!

Came here for the Tapas Tuesday deal 3 tapas and a glass of wine for £11.99. Came here at 5.15 when the deal started. Got a seat quickly. I also got an extra portion of bread to eat the hummus as there was quite a bit of it with the bread that came with it. The food was well cooked and decent portions. The white wine was lovely and cold. You either order from your phone from the menu or at the bar. Would recommend. You can eat outside but i wouldn't recommend as there is no protection from the seagulls.

One of my favourite restaurants in Aber recently! Great variety of food, plenty of promotions and reasonable prices. Long opening hours are also a big plus for me! They did really good even on the Valentine's Day when it was extra busy. Really recommend this one!

Brilliant meal yesterday evening. Really can’t fault the staff, they’re amazing. Food was great especially the tapas and the option for soya milk in the milkshakes was a bonus. Can’t wait to visit again. The vibes are amazing.

We were a table of 19 work and ex work colleagues from all over Wales and beyond, celebrating two retirements, eating everything from beetroot & feta flatbread (mine - absolutely delicious!), to tapas, goan curry, buttermilk chicken, vegetarian dishes, side orders and a few desserts. (Thanks for the candles on the delicious brownie!)

No complaints from anyone and the atmosphere was fab!

Staff and Manager were brilliant and couldn't have done any more for us all.

Lovely food, good prices, lovely staff x strange decor but depends what your after x

The Athro Lounge near the railway station in Aberystwyth, Wales is a very good place to meet for a drink and meal. It is particularly good for groups with beautiful decor and a late opening time so that there is plenty of time to have a chat and socialise. There is a wide range of drinks and meals available with very good customer service.

The staff were lovely. It was packed and we only had to wait 10 mins for a table. The decor is really thought out and lovely. The toilets were lovely and clean. Food was amazing everyone in my party of 5 throughly enjoyed it. Mu parents had the tapas, “brilliant Flavour just wish there was more of it for the price”.
