Castell Aberystwyth Castle

Super accessible, great views! Its an incredible piece of history on the coast, and very close to the city centre. Lots of spots to sit and enjoy the view and weather, and appreciate the ruins.

Aberystwyth Castle is easily accessible from on street parking. Walkways are paved. The ruins allow you to imagine what might have been. The views of the Irish Sea, beach, and bluffs are wonderful. Coffee at Coffee Hut was good.

Fantastic piece of Welsh history, located just outside of the town centre. Beautiful views of the city and coast.

Beautiful castle ruins. Easily accessible. No tickets needed. Free ro walk around. 1 minute walk from town and the surrounding sea views are INCREDIBLE ! definatley worth a visit!

What a beautiful area of Aberystwyth to visit. It is free as it is not enough to warrent charging As with castles they are up high so you get fantastic views and this one is no exception. Sitting on the benches between the castle and the war memorial you get a view of both North & South Bay from the headland. A truly magnificent place to witness the sunset over Aberystwyth Bay.

Its a ruin, but there is no charge to wonder around the remaining ramparts. The views up here are lovely and it's a perfect place for a picnic.

Quite cool remains of an old castle in Aberystwyth. Nice to visit and take photos with a sea view in the background especially for sunset. Some opportunities for children to climb on rocks and a playground nearby for smaller kids. Nice views open up either side and out into the sea as well.

I really loved viewing this huge castle ruins in Aberystwyth.
It was a beautiful warm day so the views were excellent and not many people around.
Learning more of the history surrounding the castle and grounds was great and my dislike for Oliver Cromwell confirmed.
The castle must have been so impressive and positioned on the headland just out of the town. It would have looked formidable as you approached by land or sea

Right on the coast is the remaims of Aberystwyth Castle. There is a lot to discover and learn about with the numerous amount of information places that are placed around the side.

When you walk into the centre of it, your imagination takes back to what it would looked like when it was in the finest time.

Its really worth a visit if your in the area, the one thing is that as its close to the see; it can get very windy so maybe not to the best place to have food.

What an absolute amazing castle ruins, I spent a good hour exploring the ruins, taking photos and videos, plus had a lovely walk along the promenade right down to the harbour watching the waves crash into the rocks was awesome, well worth a visit if you’re in Aberystwyth 😊😊 hope you enjoy the photos guys

Finding the spot amongst the derelict old castle, to settle, ponder, or have a picnic. Perfect on those long, hot summer days. Excellent place for family and children. On warm afternoons, you'll sometimes see the old folk there on the benches chatting. Bustles with teenagers, mums and their buggies, dads with their sons and footballs, or balls of rugby. No need to shout just pop over to the Whispering Gallery.

No need to book free just to walk in, beautiful location in a beautiful town.

Fantastic place, a great park for children, nice and clean. Nice picnic tables. Toilets are not too bad.

Lovely ruins to explore.
Right next to the sea.
Plenty benches to enjoy the views.

There no need of pre booking or buying tickets on arrival.

Very scenic site and larger are to cover.

Parkings available near by. But if you travel by train it’s literally under 1ins walk from station.

You won’t regret visiting here.

Cool castle grounds, free to access and easy to walk around. Wheelchair friendly great location on the sea front so has some beautiful scenery surrounding the grounds. Doesn’t seem to get busy so don’t have to worry about crowds there are also toilet facilities close to the grounds
