Stopped here after a cold but beautiful ride down the gorge with friends. A lovely, warm welcoming atmosphere. Coffee and flapjack were excellent!

Nice cafe very close to the Gorge and the Caves with beautiful mountain view. There is also a small river that passes in front of it. Dogs are allowed in. The coffee was nice. The store was very clean. The prices were more than reasonable. There is a big variety of things to eat. It's totally worth your visit.

It’s always 10 out of 10 for service, food and atmosphere. The views are stunning. My favourite cookies never disappoint. And they love dogs! I visit nearly everyday with my pup. My children love the place too!

What a beautiful little cafe, stopped here twice last week with my partner. Both times were just as good as each other, coffee was lovely and the food was even better, only had a sausage roll and a steak pasty but have nothing to complain about as both were lovely. Would definitely recommend to friends and family and will definitely be stopping in again when next in cheddar.

Lovely local cafe/restaurant 👌. Great to visit as a local and equally welcoming to tourists. Plenty of choice of savoury or sweet whatever your want. Check it out!

Cute little cafe in a lovely location, food was really good and staff were very friendly.

Tarts were on the pricey side but very good and a nice treat when we got home!

Oh and our dog was welcome 😊

This cafe is a MUST if you love a good cheddar scone! We enjoyed a warm cheddar scone and a warm cheddar potato onion pie!

I may not be an expert in scones or pies, but I am an expert in flavors and textures!

The scone was beautifully buttery and the cave aged cheddar on top was the perfect sharpness to complement the flavor!

The pie had a perfectly crisp short crust pastry (no soggy bottom) and just a down right deliciously creamy filling with potatoes and onions!

My only regret is not ordering a dozen to go!

A nice little cafe perfect for lunch after exploring Cheddar Gorge. I tried the salt beef sandwich 🥪 and my son had the tuna and melted cheese. We both thought they were very good quality and price. The view from the Cafe was lovely and if the weather had been better we would have sat outside.

Cafe Gorge has an exceptional location and customer service.

Although we did not have any pastries or cakes, they looked delicious and well prepared. The Deluxe hot chocolate and Caramel Latte were prepared with care and accuracy, and the level of warmth was perfect.

The scenery and the river right next to the seating area was everything we needed to relax on a beautiful Saturday morning.

The Cafe Gorge is amazing. First visited 5 and a half years ago, loved it then, been back this weekend and not disappointed. Clean, tidy, attentive staff, amazing food and drink in a lovely environment. Can not recommend this place enough

It's only a jacket potatoes but seriously the jackets in cafe gorge are the best ever.
I visited with 2 friends & we all had them with various fillings but all including the best cheddar cheese in the gorge.
Coleslaw is amazing, must be a secret ingredient that makes it so good & lovely local chutney to accompany the simple but fresh dressed leaves that add to the presentation.
No room for pudding but couldn't resist bringing home the pear frangipane with Clotted cream & also a cheese scone. Both lush.
Food, staff service & cleanliness better than anywhere else in cheddar.
Well done guys, you're the best.

Cafe Gorge is stunning. They tick all the boxes when it comes to visiting a coffee shop. They have great coffee, lovely cakes, the customer service is excellent (even when very busy), and the location is amazing. We had a large group which they accommodated with ease and they had a high chair available which is another thumbs up. All in all a very lovely experience and we would fully recommend going when you visit Cheddar Gorge.

First visit and it sure won't be my last!
Excellent quality food, everything super fresh and delicious.
Chocolate orange tart is life-changing 🤤
Only downside is it's forever in the shade due to it's position in the gorge.
