Strawberry Lounge

We had an amazing time here yesterday. I don't normally write reviews but this place was so fab I have to! I'll start with how dog friendly it was. Our dog was provided with a blanket to lie on, and a bowl of ham! The food selection was very impressive. The soup was delicious and decadent topped with goats cheese and croutons and the afternoon tea was gorgeous. So many different options including quiche, pie, sandwiches, cake and a scone and you could select which of each of these you wanted. Was vegetarian friendly and not at all tokenistic. Multiple veggie options to choose from. The scone menu was amazingly extensive as well as tasting incredible and the cake slices are massive with a huge variety to choose from. Toasties were generous with filling. All of this was also excellent value. Lovely staff and atmosphere and brilliant service. Loved the decor as well. Their menu also included lots of yummy looking smoothies which we will try next time. It was honestly one of the best cafe lunches I've ever had and we will be back. Thank you

Charming old building down a side alley....simply amazing cakes and scones. And so many to choose from! We had pecan ginger and apple cake, and a sultana cinnamon and apple scone, and they were both brilliant. Can't wait to go back 😊

Beautiful cafe with extremely friendly staff. A huge selection of cakes and scones (some tough decisions necessary!) with generous portions and lovely coffee. The cucumber water was also a nice touch! Really lovely vibe and would recommend if in Alnwick.

Hidden down a narrow alley this is an excellent little place for a tasty, filling lunch.
I recommend the scones which were warm and huge. Likewise the glorious soup.

We have visited this wonderful cosy coffee shop twice this week whilst on our holiday.
Our first visit we experienced the gorgeous flavoured cakes and coffee ,
Such a lovely choice.
When we saw some of the lunches we knew we had to have a return visit!
My daughter and I chose a spontaneous afternoon tea , and we weren’t disappointed. The food was plentiful and the array of choice was amazing .

A hidden gem in Alnwick! The most incredible variety of sweet and savoury scones I have ever seen and they live up to expectations. We had the cheese scone and Oreo scone and they were massive. A gorgeous cafe, excellent service. Definitely must stop by if you’re passing through!

This is absolutely fabulous place. We popped in for a mid morning coffee and ended up having the most delicious scone and lunch!!

If you enjoy scones, you really need to try some of the amazing flavours and varieties. If you enjoy cakes, I don't know where to start. They all looked amazing 😋.

The lunch was equally amazing. Freshly cooked, quality ingredients.

OMG - quite possibly the best cafe I have ever visited. You could easily miss it but fortunately using Google and Trip Advisor we didn't. Gorgeous cream tea (a massive array of fabulous scones to choose from), gorgeous cakes - all home baked and I had one of the most chocolate filled Mocha's ever. Dogs were also treated royally to some freshly cooked sausages. Keep up the great work - loved it, we will return no doubt

Quaint little cafe, if you aren't aware where it is then you could miss it. Down a little alley and turn right. There are clean toilet facilities and the smell of fresh scones as you walk in are lovely. I asked if we just took a seat and the waitress said yes no problem just take a seat and I will be over shortly to take your order. Quick service. I ordered the garlic chicken melt and my husband ordered chicken pesto melt they come with a vibrant and tasty salad with bits of fruit in, we both ordered chocolate orange hot chocolates I had the full works with cream marshmallows and you even get some jelly sweets in there. They were beautiful and monstrous. ( the size of it) I even bought a scone to take home with me. Plenty of savoury and sweet choice of scones. Fantastic food and service would definitely recommend and we will be back in the future.

Good food at a fair price: the beetroot soup with cheese and onion toastie was delicious and the cakes came in very generous portions. Staff were very friendly and helpful. A great little gem.

Beautiful hidden cafe with lots of delicious options, particularly cakes & scones!! I had the afternoon tea, everything was fresh and delicious and the team couldn't have been friendlier. Will be back again in future :)

This is a really sweet place, tucked away a bit off the main high street and with a very cute vibe. The staff were really lovely and accommodating. All the food seemed homemade and was really nice - it was the longest list of scone varieties I’ve ever seen! Particularly enjoyed the sausage, bacon and cheese scone. Really generous portions and reasonable prices - the afternoon tea on the table next to us looked immense. Loved the strawberry decorations

We found this place by chance but what a find! We stopped for a drink and a slice of cake and we're not disappointed. Cake was delicious and moist and the staff were very friendly.

Lovely little place. Nice friendly staff. I had pork and apple pie with chunky chips. (beautiful) Their scones are well tasty too.

The best scones ever. Lots of different types both savoury and sweet. Cakes and tray bakes are lovely. Great service.

Fabulous home made comfort food. Huge portions, beautifully presented and all at a great value price. Very friendly staff and dog friendly. A must!

The best afternoon tea I ever had!
Freshly made, lots of sandwiches, quiches, pie and cake. The scone was amazing!!! Place is cozy and well maintained.
