The Summerhouse

What a gem. Called today at 1pm after some retail therapy. We were lucky to get a table as the place was very busy. After ordering from the extensive menu the proprietor asked if we would like to move to a larger table to accommodate myself, my wife and 2 year old granddaughter. Very thoughtful! After moving our drinks order was taken . The food quickly followed. The food was good, wholesome and homemade. Delicious! The staff are friendly and were lovely to our granddaughter. All in all great place to spend some time and enjoy great food. Will visit again soon. Best regards Phil Sue and Daisy

We visited the Summerhouse cafe today, Warm welcome from Miguel as always. He is so friendly and kind, nothing is too much trouble. We had the lobby which is so delicious, very tasty. Our grand daughter met Miguel and he chatted to her, made her smile, she enjoyed her lunch too.
The Italian coffee is amazing.

This a fantastic place to have a cuppa and a piece of cake or for breakfast or lunch. Miguel runs the shop and is a very polite nice guy.

Very good food and Miguel the owner he is very nice and friendly also funny to talk to, the girls who works in the kitchen who made the good food that is Becky, Vicky one more but I do not know how to spell her name but All of are very good staff members and also the all of desserts are very good and nice to eat. I would recommend to anyone to visit it when they get a chance to go in Cheadle Staffordshire. I really enjoy going there. Keep up the good work Miguel.

Miguel always makes you feel very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. The menu is extensive - we have never been disappointed with our choices. It is reassuring to know that your cafe latte will always be piping hot - so many times I have to ask other establishments to heat them up in the microwave.

What a great café. Manager was extremely friendly, welcoming and attentive couldn't fault our experience. Food was lovely and excellent value too. Such a pleasant change to find a gem of a place to eat. We will certainly return - thank you!

Called in today to have lunch with my daughter before our visit to see my husband in Cheadle Hospital.
A lovely place. We both had a cheese and onion toastie, it came with a lovely salad, homemade coleslaw and homemade potato salad. We both enjoyed our lunch very much. There was background music playing. Lovely place and very friendly owner. A big Thank you from Pam and Dawn 😁

We go here regularly. The menu is varied and affordable, from breakfasts and lunches to lovely cakes and puddings. A big specials board is displayed and the food is home cooked and always hot when it arrives. Miguel, who serves you, is a really nice person, very efficient and very good with children.

My favourite place! Delicious food, wonderful friendly service, lovely bijou tearooms and superb value - in fact, I think Miguel should do a price increase as fantastic value and quality! We go every month from many miles away and a lot of other regulars attend frequently... I'd be there every day if I lived locally. PERFECT in every way.... Thank you all x

The proprietor is exceptionally professional, friendly and welcoming, as are all the staff. It has the quaint country feel, yet modern and homely, with a family friendly atmosphere for which you can leave your troubles at the door while you dine in relative comfort inside. The food is freshly cooked, wonderfully presented, and where it counts the most, is thoroughly tasty. It is the best in town

Really lovely old world cafe, with excellent food and fabulous cakes. We were even able to eat outside in the sheltered courtyard, though the cafe is stylish and welcoming. Perfect for meeting friends.

My family regularly visit Miguel at the Summerhouse. It's wonderful. The food is always of a high quality and the atmosphere is one of being with family. Miguel always talks to my daughter, making her feel welcome and adding an extra biscuit with our coffees as he knows that she will pinch one. This is the best place for all of your food and coffee needs in Cheadle - be sure to visit before you leave.
