I had a meal here on Wednesday, I’ve not previously been to this restaurant.
What a treat the meal was excellent, well cooked and presented, the room was well laid out. There were 12 in our party and all meals arrived promptly. I hope to be visiting again soon.

Lovely campsite with good facilities. Friendly staff, toilets/showers are spotlessly clean. Good facilities for camper vans.

Had a breakfast stack meanwhile the wife had Belgium waffles. Staff beautiful service, pleasant environment and the food was some of the best we have eaten. Would whole heartily recommend. Stayed on the caravan park in our tourer so accommodation was first class also🤣

Stayed recently in one of the pods for a birthday with friends and it was brilliant. The dining table converted into a bed. If I went again I would take a fan as it was warm at night. The toilets are very clean and are extremely close to the pods. We booked a meal at the restaurant and it was absolutely beautiful !

Absolutely loved the place, ideal location, glamming pods were excellent and great size, nice area for kids, felt and was very secure, icing on the cake was the exceptional food at the onsite restaurant. The best mixed grill I have ever had, quality was superb and cooked to perfection. Location is great for a trip to Alton towers but also many zoos and wildlife parks in the area. Visited the Peak Wildlife park which the little one loved

We actually went to the Grosvenor Restaurant for a meal but we had to drive through the caravan park.
It was a beautiful day and the views stunning. In an ideal location for visiting both Alton Towers and the Peak District. The site is well laid out and very well maintained.
It seems to cater for visiting mobiles whilst there are statics and pods to hire.
The Grosvenor Restaurant is just through the park. It's extremely well maintained whilst keeping the atmosphere of an old stately home.
Service was excellent and the food more than ample, with reasonable prices.
My wife found the veg undercooked for her, whilst the Ploughman's Lunch I had was a little too much for me, buts that's not a bad point. You certainly get your monies worth.
All in all an excellent venue.
One point I missed is I'm disabled.
Unfortunately The Grosvenor Restaurant car park is little challenging if like me you're a little iffy on your legs. The front entrance has a flight of stone steps with no handrails. The best entrance is round the rear of the building., which requires one to engage a relatively steep slope on the car park. Once around the back all is fine. Unfortunately if its a first time there are no obvious sign directing the disabled person.
Incidentally it's worth noting there is no marke disabled parking on the black ash car park.

had a great one night stay here , the owner is such a friendly person and welcomed us in. our pitch had good placement and there was a lake in our view too , the facilities were clean and well kept and also not a long way from where we set up. overall i’d recommend staying here to anyone as it’s a very friendly environment and there is also a pub/restaurant on site if you don’t fancy cooking. thanks for the great stay we will definitely be returning👍🏻

We visited Hales Hall for the first time on Sunday morning for breakfast on recommendation of family members. The Hall itself was amazing in a lovely countryside spot and beautifully decorated for Christmas.

I had the small breakfast which was completely adequate for myself and I can honestly say was the nicest breakfast I have had in a long time. The staff were lovely and the price was really good.

I shall definitely be back for another breakfast and maybe to try an evening meal.

Thank you.

Fabulous place, Jeff and all the staff make everyone so welcome and work so hard to make Hales Hall such a clean and family friendly place. Perfect for weekends away. The chef cooks amazing food which is well priced and simply delicious! Events held are enjoyable and with such a lovely atmosphere. I love this place!

Me, my husband and 4 year old have just had a great stay here over the bank holiday. Our evening meal at the Grosvenor was second to none, the staff are so lovely and friendly. The staff on the campsite were also friendly and very hardworking. Toilet and shower block were kept clean (obviously a bit wet and grassy during peak times but soon cleaned),showers were hot but not great, but who cares we were camping! We will definitely be returning! X

We used Hales Hall as a stop off on the way north, for one night.

Pitch was hardstanding and good quality, overlooking duck pond. Took quite a length to get to electric and water though, be prepared ( not a negative just a warning for cable length).

Facilities were clean and tidy and plenty bin spots and chemical waste points. Check in was really friendly and welcoming, a big plus.

Restaurant was the highlight as we ordered take away on the Sunday evening when restaurant was busy and the food was still brilliant. Really well prepared and the staff were really helpful and seemed to be enjoying their shifts. The choice was excellent and the quality superb, really great experience.

We left after one peaceful night with no drama at all.

Went just for one night with my little boy and we had the best time. Lovely campsite, super friendly and staff we so lovely. Very well kept and great outside bar. Only problem we had was the restaurant/bar had to stop serving food at half 5 due to being busy which was a shame as looked amazing. We did however get a takeaway delivered no problem and they were more than happy for us to eat it on the tables outside. Can't wait to go again for the Queen Tribute fingers crossed. Thanks everyone brilliant stay and met some friends who I'll hopefully bump into again.

We stopped at Hales Hall for breakfast and thought the venue was lovely. The staff were great, the breakfast was tasty, the beer was cold and the views were amazing. They have live music on a sat night and a well stocked bar. I do recommend you book a table as although they of course do walk ins for us on Sunday morning it was very busy which of course is a great sign of great food.

Went for dinner here recently on our way back from Alton towers, we were staying in leek but looking for something different. 9 people had dinner, the food was very good and the service was great. The kids played football outside and played in the playground before dinner. Parents and kids were all happy. Bathrooms were also spotless
