The Amantola - Indian Restaurant, Bar & Delivery

We had our charity awards night here, and they were fantastic. Very friendly staff, nothing to much trouble.

Four of us went to the Amantola for the first time tonight. Wow, what a wonderful experience it was. The food was amazing and very reasonably priced. We went for the buffet menu and the choice was great. Atmosphere was nice and the staff were excellent. I can’t recommend this place enough. We will be back very soon.

Had a buffet here yesterday and it was fantastic something for everyone. Everything was so fresh and there was load to choose from. We had the unlimited food and drink and what a bargain that was. Staff was brilliant never let our drinks run out and was very helpful moving the things round to get our son in his wheelchair in. We will definitely be back. Even thinking of it for Christmas dinner thank you

We have had takeaway from here but eating in person was so much nicer. Lovely atmosphere and theming of the restaurant. All the staff we interacted with were lovely.
We got the banquet for one and it was a bargain. The food was so good and came out in good time. The beer on draft was one I hadn't heard of but it was really good and paired excellently with the curry. We ordered extra sides but didn't need them as the portions are so generous.
Will definitely be back soon

Came today 30/09/2023 for my birthday meal with my husband. Had the unlimited food and drinks buffet £24.95 each. Food and service was impeccable, drinks offered regularly, very clean, good atmosphere, staff so friendly and welcoming. Never fails to impress us this place. Been regulars for 19 years and always impressed. Keep up the amazing work Amantola staff. Will come back again soon.

How to start, I guess with the welcome...

Old school Indian restaurant styling with traditional meet and greet to set you up for the treats to come. In our case the all you can eat buffet...

There are two choices on the buffet, with bar included or food only. If you are on soft drinks then go for food only as non alcohol drinks are very reasonably priced, however if you are going to have a couple of drinks then it is worth investing the extra couple of quid and go Large 👍😉

There is a time limit on the free bar of two hors but not on the food. They do serve a particularly cheeky house Merlot here which I would recommend as a companion to the selection of Indian curries.

The food was very delicious and well prepared and presented with a large variety of both Chinese and Indian style foods to try.

There were couple of personal disappointments at the buffet, only a single choice of rice, only chicken curries and the hottest curry available was a chicken Jalfrazi.
Desert was also restricted to glazed ring donuts which upset the Grandkids but thankfully more choice was available from the main menu at an additional cost.

A really nice touch was the waitress letting us know our free bar was almost up and would we like to have one last round before the tab ended, oh go on then... 🤣

All in all a very enjoyable dining experience, even with the restrictions, we will definitely visit again but next time I will go a la carte and get some lamb Vindaloo in my life 😋

As curry places goes and I’ve visited them all across the world it’s a pretty good place with a great front of house manager. Popped in for a quick curry and all the lads enjoyed it. Will definitely return.

Brilliant night here with friends, good food, great service and great prices. We will be returning here soon! The Chef's special curry is particularly worth a mention!

Well we are off to the Amantola again this evening for the buffet and all inclusive deal with unlimited drinks of your choice. This by far is our favorite place the staff are excellent and go out of their way to be helpful. The atmosphere is very relaxing and friendly. The food as usual is amazing with so much choice for everyone. We would definitely recommend the Amantola.

I’ve driven past this place dozens of times on the way to north wales on various breaks and always wondered if it’s worth a visit, decided to try it on the way back from a walk up Moel Famau and we were not disappointed! We have a tastecard so we got 50 percent off our food bill, it’s only available on the a la carte menu which has some great sharer platter options aswell as the meals you would expect. The food we had was amazing the meat sharer deal at £16.95 a head. The curries (lamb tikka Karahi and chicken tikka Karahi) were really nice and flavoursome with a decent kick. They are also one of very few restaurants that allow the tastecard on a weekend only excluding bank holidays.

There is also a buffet option and unlimited option which we are going to come back for (these are not available using the tastecard) so the all inclusive is the buffet option including all drinks at £24.95 a person! With the quality of food and deals like that, plus very friendly hosts, we are willing to return from Widnes with family and friends

They also offer Thai and Chinese on the buffet which we are looking forward to trying

Lovely food and big portions for a great price; highly recommend the set menu which has great offers Mon -> Thursday. Had Dupiaza, Rogan Josh, Masala, Vindaloo recently and all lovely. Highly recommend

Great food, well prepared and All fresh. Reasonable prices and especially outstanding prices for children's meals. Large portion size, even for kids. Price reductions if you visit in the week with their offers. Staff are very friendly and welcoming providing an Excellent service. Lovely relaxing surroundings and atmosphere. Highly recommended.

We’ve been to the restaurant a fair few times with friends as it’s perfect halfway house for us to meet.
We also introduced the restaurant to family and now they are hooked.
The food is always a great quality and always tastes fantastic. The owner and staff are lovely,
We’ve tried the buffet and the main menu both are great. We always leave very full!
They have just started doing cocktails which was really nice when we went last night for my birthday.

Bar the place looking dated, the seats are a tad wobbly. It’s a great place to eat. Highly recommend ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Me and my wife came here for our anniversary meal on Saturday 11th November and decided to do the pan Asian buffet, Food was fresh and tasted great, Front of house manager was wonderful and also the waitresses were very well mannered with a service smile also which was a bonus :) I'm the guy who said the Peshwaari naan bread was the best one I've ever had 😋 Will definitely be back here, Maybe more so just for the Naan bread ha :D

A Indian restaurant just over the border in Wales very easy to find just look for the pink Elephant's you can see them from the A55 if that is the way you are coming from once hear it is very welcoming. The interior is overwhelming and the decor is stunning friendly staff and the food is good it is a great place for a big group I had a tack away but I am assured it is good

The folks there will know which customer I am,we usually use another restaurant but after a few less than average meals we tried amantola takeaway,the food was brilliant!(and we like our Indian food)starters fresh and tasty,mains rich and exotic,but best of all keema naan! Moist,full of spicey meat,can't wait for second half tomorrow,we have used same takeaway since moving back to chester a while ago,guess we just found a new favourite!! Thanks folks!!

Moved recently and this is now my local for Indian food. Been twice midweek and had beautiful food both times, couldn't recommend more!
