Just outside of the main town this B&B was exactly what we wanted. The room is well decorated and there's even a usb extension by the beds so no need for loads of leads.
With parking at the rear it's only a short walk into town with multiple shops, pubs and restaurants/takeaways close by.
The cooked breakfast was great and the owner is a really lovely guy. If we do decide to stay in the town again will definitely book in here.

Maenllwyd was a very comfortable stopover on our walk of Glyndwr's Way. It's just a few yards from the path but close to the pubs and restaurants in the town. The B&B is very clean, friendly and comfortable and we enjoyed a tasty full Welsh breakfast to set us up for our next walking day. It's very good value for money. Our host gave us helpful advice about where to eat in the town and was happy for us to leave our car on the premises while we were out for the day. We would happily stay there again and recommend it.

I like Maenllwyd and the honesty of the place. It's not flash but it's proper and the breakfast is ample. Gareth (and Jane) are friendly and available with help - and opinions if you allow Gareth to give his views!
Wifi was fine. Everything was clean. Short walk to pubs and restaurants and co-op. I'd stay here again and I recommend it.

A lovely place in the heart of "Mach" Super comfy beds, quiet and the full fry up was gorgeous. Ample parking was a bonus, as we're the fantastic hosts. Gareth you're a star. A real home from home. Can't wait to go back. Andy and Wendy rm3

Just spent two nights here whilst we attended a nearby wedding.
It is a lovely guest house with plenty of parking to the rear
Check in was nice and easy and the rooms are very nice, clean and comfortable. The only thing I would say rooms could do with a hook on door to hang coats
There are tea and coffee facilities and a TV. And an iron and ironing board are available
All rooms are ensuite
Breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice of cereals , yoghurt and fruit and the Welsh fry up was superb.
The owners are especially lovely and helpful to a tee
Would definitely go back next time we are in the area

Lovely B&B in a brilliant location of Machynlleth. Glorious hills all around and plenty of places to eat/explore in the town.

We stayed for the comedy festival and our room was perfect, clean, with all the expected toiletries & tea/coffee, etc.

Gareth and Jane were very friendly and accommodating for what we needed.

Plenty of on site parking and cooked breakfast every morning meant we left on our final day wanting nothing more.

We will certainly be back!

Great location and definitely met all of what I'd hoped for my stay in Machynlleth. Central for driving to the attractions I wanted to get to inland and further up and down the coastline. Super secure car parking at the rear of the residence. Room and Bathroom spotless with all the necessary provisions & facilities. Very quiet room even tho it's on a main road going away from town. Breakfast options are perfect and plentiful and Gareth presents the pre ordered hot selection cooked to a good standard. Good value for money and I would return. I have already recommended it for a booking.

What a gem of a place. An old dwelling in a lovely little town that is superbly fitted out inside. The rooms were very modern and fresh and the amenities and grounds were excellent. The breakfast was delicious and we were offered a wide choice of selection. We had the full Wlesh which kept us going as we were visiting a local bike park just up the round (Dyfi Bike Park). Will definitely be visiting again, the hosts were very nice people and the hotel has plenty of parking space and a huge garden to sit in. Its only a short walk into main part of town which has pubs, shops and places to eat. Close to a large COOP supermarket (2 min walk). They have a garage to store bikes if that is why you are visiting as well, which was appreciated.

Lovely guest house that very much overdelivers for the price. Located at the entrance of Mach with a rustic but accommodating interior. The host is great and I would definitely stay here again.

The guest house was clean and tidy. Gareth was extremely accommodating to me as a student paramedic staying for a number of days. He was more than happy to sort breakfast for me after night shifts. I would definitely recommend staying here.

Excellent guesthouse for it you want a comfortable and very reasonably priced stay in Machynlleth. We stayed over during a charity walk from Cardiff to Colwyn bay, the hosts were incredibly accommodating with what we required. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable and the breakfast in the morning lovely. Highly recommend anybody coming to the area to stay here. To top it off, £30 was knocked off our final bill to donate back into the charity

Lovely room, good parking, good breakfast menu. The house is close to the town centre, but not so close to be noisy, not that Machynlleth is a noisy place.
The host was friendly and helpful.

Stayed for just one night while we were visiting Tywyn. We were most impressed Gareth was the perfect host polite and helpful in every way. We had an attic room with a door opening on to the fire escape great to be able to step out. Bed very comfortable plenty of hot water and lovely fluffy bath sheets not towels. Breakfast basic but tasty considering we were there during self distancing restrictions. Would we stay again? Most definitely yes!

We spent a couple of days in the care of wonderful hosts, Gareth and Jane, and couldn’t have wished for a more enjoyable stay in the beautiful historic town of Machynlleth. This B&B afforded a truly welcoming and friendly open door after a long drive through the picturesque Dyfi Valley.

There is so much to explore in the area and we happily spent all of our time gallivanting around visitor centres, local walks and the coast. We plan on returning for a longer visit in the not too distant future

Beautiful place in a stunning setting. We were pleasantly surprised with our rooms which were kitted out with everything we could need. A warm greeting at the door and easy instructions. The stairs were a killer. Breakfast was hot and to order but also included continental options. My favourite part was the take away coffee cups by the bed, which were for our use upon leaving. I took a freshly brewed one in the car as we drove home. :)

We stayed a night at Maenllwyd Guest House on our way through to St. David's. Gareth and Jane were the perfect hosts. The room was warm and comfortable and we were given a delicious take-away breakfast in the morning to see us on our way (part of special Covid-19 measures that have been put in place). Would definitely recommend.
