A wonderful little place for Breakfast.
The ladies (and gent!) At Y Gegin Fach welcomed us for a wonderful breakfast. Cooked Breakfasts came with toast and tea/coffee as part of the price, we went for the typical, eggs bacon and sausages breakfast which was lovely!
If you’re there for breakfast they have wide menu available for breakfast, lunch and dinners too inclusive of smoothies, milkshakes, iced coffees and naughty treats including some traditional Welsh bakes which we purchased to take home with us! Reasonably priced and great food to suit.

We had lunch twice at the café the week of our holiday from 23rd September 2023. We were very impressed and are happy to recommend it to other visitors to Machynlleth. The food is freshly cooked, so you may have to wait for a reasonable time. The portions are generous and we thought the food was of a high quality. There is plenty of choice on the menu. The service is efficient efficient and friendly. There is a good selection of cakes too.

Fantastic! After 5 days walking this place is like a dream come true. Vegan breakfast at a very reasonable price. Free top ups of hot water for tea, WiFi, plug for recharging power pack. Friendly and helpful staff.

Lovely food. Staff are welcoming, polite, professional and friendly. Options of eating in, sitting out on the front or take away. There are a few vegan options and gluten free too. I had the vegan breakfast, which was filling and delicious. I also had a vegan & gluten free choc & orange tart for dessert, I'd love the recipe.. it was divine 😋😋❤ They have soya and oat milk as a vegan option for hot drinks too. They are a dog friendly cafe 🐕

A good selection of cakes with tea, coffee and juices. Table seating in and out. Covid measures in place.
Friendly service welcoming all who pass by.. Disabled most welcome moving chairs and tables to accommodate passing trade. This place can get busy but worth the wait. Small family run business doing well serving the public and passing travelling people stopping to refuel and take a break.

Fantastic cafe with covid-friendly outdoor seating (if not always weatherproof). We stopped by as we were passing through town and needed some lunch and were so glad we did. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. The minted lamb burger in particular went down very well. Would thoroughly recommend to anyone in the area!

We have been here many times previously, so stopped off for tea and cake afternoon on Saturday 9 July 2022 on our journey further north. Great selection of food and drinks and super friendly people. Highly recommended and we will be back again. Thank you all so much.

This is our go to cafe stop on our journey North to South (with a slight detour off the A470). Staff are friendly and welcoming and the cafe is spotless. The food is cooked fresh to order. The breakfast here is delicious and there's plenty of it.

Had a lovely hot chocolate (with butterscotch flavouring) and cakes x 2 - homemade viennese whirl and a chocolate and orange tart. Went half each with the cakes with the better half and enjoyed both (choc tart to die for...). Lasagne brought out to another table looked good too, polite and friendly staff (2 people serving / attending) and helpful. Will definitely return. Our now favourite coffee place in Machynlleth.

Thank you for letting us have a late takeaway at 5pm - so we could enjoy your wonderful spinach and chickpea vegan curry as an early dinner in our holiday accommodation later. Cakes were superb too.
It was absolutely delicious! And the lasagne my daughter had was great too. (with apologies, as i originally accidentally left this review for the Maengwyn Cafe as I got the name wrong).
