Lovely food. Polite, friendly, nice staff.
It may not matter to some, but the changing facilities for a baby, I have to say having it very warm was great for a baby, whether that's intentional or just because of the time of year, but a warm changing room for a baby is great.

Lovely simple decor with super friendly service and a real surprise for the quality of food. The only time I have belly of pork with more crackling than I could handle!! The calamari starter was lush and enough for two to share.

Absolutely delicious dinner for three of us, and very attentive service too. Nice atmosphere. Pork Belly was off the scale in terms of quality - everything on my plate was delicious.

Had the best Sunday carvery today. Amazing and generous selection of food, cooked to perfection. Highly recommend. A real hidden gem. Yorkshire Pudding was amazing!

Phoned when passing, kept carvery open just passed closing so we could eat there and were extremely polite and courteous. Food was delicious, 5 meats all tender and veg fresh even as they were closing. Very impressed.

Nice pub with good food. I guess it is a little hard to reach but worth a visit. The Sunday roast buffet looked very tempting but went for the burger which was very very good. Prices are also reasonable and we have been served very quickly. Kids were also happy since there was a games corner with plenty of board games to chose from.

An absolutely amazing carvery! Plenty of choice and all cooked fresh. The staff were all very happy, polite and helpful which helped set a wonderful atmosphere! Will definitely be going back and would highly recommend!

Went for a meal here yesterday. The place was empty inside but we were dining at 6pm so it was definitely early. The food was really lovely and the lady manager (sorry I didn't get your name) was lovely and very accommodating of my vegan diet. She also choose a lovely strawberry gin for me, which was gorgeous. It's was n nice to find that it's also a dog friendly pub. First visit but won't be the last ☺

Impromptu treat to us.. thankfully they accommodated us even though they were fully booked and busy with Sunday roast. Loved the desserts and the coffee. Thank you. Highly recommended

Had the carvery today and it was very good indeed. Nice thick gravy, good roast potatoes and massive Yorkshire puddings with a good selection of meats and vegetables too! Definitely worth a visit, especially if you're hungry! 😋🔥

We held our 50th wedding anniversary at the Merry Miller Cothill last week. We chose a buffet. It was superb, sandwiches, quiche, pizza salads. Scotch Eggs, cornish pasties, sausage rolls, chicken wings. Desserts including Kit Kat cheesecake, pavlova, sticky toffee pudding, lemon tart, and cheese board. Plenty of delicious food. The hospitality was wonderful, very welcoming, cosy, a super service. Thank you Jackie, Steve and the team.

Very good food and a varied menu which worked well for children, with pizzas and burgers, and adults alike.

We stopped in here for lunch on our way to a meeting in mid-January. The pub was reasonably quiet at the time but there was a fairly large group in there and a little bit of atmosphere. Service was quick and friendly, and the menu offered two sizes of many meals, for different appetites, which is excellent as pub portions are often much too big! The food was delicious and well priced - I went for the smaller portion and it was still plenty. I liked the fact that the vegetables were served in a separate dish so they didn't steal my precious gravy.

My only possible criticisms are that the pub was a little dark inside (but I don't mind that as it felt more rustic and like a real pub) and some of the labelling could have been a bit clearer on the menu for things like vegetarian options.

I would say, by far, the best roast I've had in a pub or restaurant! The meat is really good quality, the Yorkshire's are huge, the potatoes are crispy and the selection of vegetables vast. The kids menu has a really good choice of foods (my kids went for the pizza, which was demolished really quickly!). Add in fantastic, really friendly staff and it all makes for a really wonderful experience. We'll definitely be back!
