Wow! What an amazing facility! So impressed and jealous of Ponty! The staff were amazing super friendly and helpful. The complex itself immaculately clean and accommodating to all, wheel chair hoists etc. Would highly recommend a visit, excellent value for you money and the option of the activities ticket, inflatable, water walker etc. Definitely need to book your slots in advance on the website.

Great place for an outdoor swim. Pools are heated and there are a lot of changing rooms. They have a cafe that's great for a hot drink. It does shut for a few weeks a year, so check before you go. On the flip side, town is a walk across the bridge. Beautiful walks around the park. Has some disabled parking on the grounds when gates are open.

My daughter and I go to the Lido when we can. She loves it and it's making her more confident in the water. Not too warm but not cold either. If you have a dry day it's perfect!

Fantastic! Great facility, one lifeguard was a bit whistle happy, due to I think, his confusing hand signals.

Inflatable hamster ball and water float obstacle course are great fun looking. Though if you have to queue, best hope for warm day as you get a false sense of temperature in the heated pool.

Lido Pontypridd is a beautiful open-air swimming pool located in Pontypridd, Wales. It has been recently refurbished and reopened in 2015 after being closed for many years. The Lido boasts three heated pools, a children's splash pad, and a café. The design of the Lido is stunning, with a restored art deco building and a beautiful surrounding landscape. It's an excellent spot for families, friends, and individuals to enjoy a day out, and the staff are welcoming and helpful. Overall, Lido Pontypridd is a fantastic place to visit if you're looking for a fun and relaxing time in the water.

A wonderful place for an outdoor swim. Good facilities, friendly staff. Went for the lane swim, very reasonably priced compared to other lidos I've been to.

Lovely pool
Great sunny day
Not too many people
Great idea to give the number of your changing room in the qie so there isn't a scramble or rush for a cubicle. Hope this stays after covid.
Good inflatables
Plenty of lifeguards
Great day out!

Visited the area for an annual parkrun meet-up and we were able to participate in a block booking at the Lido. What a brilliant experience! Very impressed with the facilities. The pool was warm enough to enjoy even though it was raining. The changing cubicles are great. The kids loved the inflatable obstacle course. And all this for £3!!! The locals of Pontypridd are very lucky to have such a gem. Would thoroughly recommend a visit.

Always a lovely place to visit. The pool is heated and gets very popular. I did not go inside at this time, but continued around the park admiring the wildlife and taking in the views

We love the lido. We travel around 40 minutes to get to it but it's worth it. You can book up to a week in advance which is so helpful. It's £2 for adults and free for under 16s. There's splash pool/ toddler pool, the main pool(with a swimming lane) and an activity pool. Usually the activity pool is closed during school hours and open after school and on weekends. There are changing cubicles in the original style of the lido, plus indoor toilets (with hairdryers!). There are plenty of sun loungers too, but these do go quickly during peak times so get there early!!

Before or after your swim make sure you head to the park area. It's hands down the best park I've ever been too. It's massive and there's loads of different activities the kids can do, slides, swings, climbing frame, a wooden train, a sand pit, zip line and more.

The main downside and the only negative for us is the price of the cafe items. Bottled water was £1.40. I had a jacket potato with beans and it cost me a whopping £5.85. of I wanted a second topping it was £1 extra. The kids meals are £4.95 for small chips and two small sausage. Unfortunately we had to buy food as I didn't have food in the house for a picnic. There were no sandwiches and barely any vegan options. I asked for a veggie sausage to be told that I couldn't have one because that's the breakfast menu... I was so shocked at the prices and lack of options. Picnic lunch is definitely recommended. Or pop in to Gregg's on the way back to the cast park... This mama couldn't wait that long haha.

All in all we absolutely love the restored lido and look forward to our next visit. (With a picnic!!!!) 😆

Very grateful to have this place open again - it was always derelict growing up so it feels quite a privilege to have it back. Amazing what they were able to do after the floods, too.

Booking can be difficult, particularly as people can't travel abroad very much at the moment so are looking for activities to do at home. Covid restrictions handled quite well and are explained upon turning up.

Water is warm, everywhere is very clean.

Was asked to shoot some shots of the members of Pontypridd Swimming Club at the Lido. I had to sneak a few shots of the Lido itself in too. What an amazing hidden gem this place is.

This was even better than expected! I wish the website had all the visitor info you need to know on one page (where closest parking is, £1 coins needed for locker etc) but the facilities are excellent and great value for money (£2 swim adult) I'd rather come here than my local leisure centre!
