I have been out on a couple of day trips now, been a bucket list item for a while. It is very hard to describe just how much fun they are and how therapeutic it is to steadily drive down the canal once you're used to the steering. Our recent day out was at Tardebridge in Worcester, Andrew was excellent with the induction. Polite, friendly, engaging and informative without feeling like you were being bombarded with information. The boat itself was immaculate inside. The route was explained in detail and also where to find all the information in the handbook. Another highly enjoyable day and I really do highly recommend getting a gang of friends together to have a good ole catch up and a laugh on the serene waters of a canal. We also stopped at Hopwood Hpuse for a lovely pub lunch too. Thanks Anglo Welsh Waterway Holidays for another great and memorable day out.

Wonderful experience. Helpful and friendly staff. Well, worth a day's trip on the beautiful canals of the West Midlands in Central England.

Had a great day out as a group of 10 ladies. So peaceful. One of our number was experienced and we managed to sail without any real problems. Didn't get as far as we hoped because we had 2 food stops! We were lucky with the weather. Kingfisher spotting added to the day!

There's a wide variety of routes to choose from Tardebigge and the Stratford canal is especially scenic. The Birmingham Basin is a great place to moor with plenty to explore. Unfortunately the museum is closed at present for refurbishment but should reopen in 2022.

Our sixth holiday with Anglo Welsh, great service from an experienced and friendly group of staff at Wooten Wawen. We had a couple of mechanical issues with our boat, the mechanics were quick to respond and fix the issues.

I dont normally do reviews but we just had such a lovely experience with anglo Welsh from start too finish all the staff were genuinely helpful and also so chilled out which was the theme that carried on in our first time boat experience. The boat was immaculate, well stocked with kitchen stuff and nice bedding and lots of pillows. We will be back !

Great experience and service! We had a 10 birth canal boat for from 5 days and went from Wooton wawen to Stratford upon Avon. We had a a great time the boat was clean and well kept. When we got home about 4 hours away we had lost a pair of wireless earphones on the boat, we contacted them and they had already found them and offered to post them for free even after asking to pay for it! Great holiday and team, would definitely go again. 🛥🛥🛥

We were allocated "EMMA"
4 adults and 2 X teenagers. 1 X springer spaniel. (Theo) went on boat trip last Thursday (15/8/23). We arrived on time . In office we went through forms, naming each passenger, handed over damage deposit in cash (as requested.) This is given back when boat checked over at the handover on return. The agent advised how far we could go within time limits. Including tunnels. We had a little experience on the broads. But this was different handling to the rudder on canal boat.(NO bow thrusters, ALSO to go LEFT push rudder arm RIGHT and RIGHT is LEFT!¡!)
The 2 nominated drivers where put through their paces.
Signed paperwork on boat after training given. Life jackets handed out. Theo had his own (from trip on broads) The training took about 15-20 mins . As was very comprehensive. Working through all of the boats safety features etc .. Also when going through Alvechurch to get speed right down ( complaints previously from other boat users. Explainion was very clear.
The boat itself was exceptionally kitted out. Much better than some caravans we had stayed in. Hot and cold running water, Fridge, Cooker, Whistling Kettle, Enough of mugs knives, forks , plates bowls, saucepans, teapot, cafeteria, tea towels, hand towels, toilet facilities, with toiletries in bathroom, also washing up liquid, hand wash hand lotion. We noticed the size of heaters in the boat also. The little things you think they might not have, they do!!! like a waterproof cape., And 2 X huge umbrellas (just in case)
It was a bit cramped in the cabin when we moored up and had some lunch. There was a table we could have put up but that would have taken up too much space. On deck there is room by rudder to stand and look as we went along. Also an area were you can sit on the edge. To watch the wildlife and take excellent photos.
Overall, we had a great time, The boat is also rented out for overnight but only for 2 passengers. (Bedroom was locked for our trip). The only negative was size, position of table (when installed). Nobody else could get past.
The whole trip was a great experience and cheaper than a day out at a theme park!!!!

Will definitely do this again with Anglo Welsh Company

Really friendly staff who were very accommodating. They whipped us through health and safety as they could see we were keen to get going. When we returned the boat early the guy working hadn't been told we were coming back, but he was really helpful and didn't cause an issue about it. We dropped an anti-vandal key for the locks into the drink too and even that wasn't a problem. Would use these guys again.

Always use Anglo Welsh for boating holidays. Hired day boat here. Usual friendly welcome. Good boat. Well stocked. Very pleasant canal on route up to Birmingham. Easy to go from here, get a meal at the hopwood house pub and turn around to get back in time.

Fantastic tour & short boat ride through tunnel with a guide in heritage week, discovering facts you wouldn't know about various parts of what is a quite small overall area, go if you get the chance.
