Stag & Hounds

We were a large group of 15 dinners and were accommodated altogether with plenty of space. We had pre arranged the dinner order. Our meals were brought to us hot when we were ready. Our servers were extremely efficient, courteous and swift in serve us. When asking questions of us they were polite and patient. The meals were good and ample. Altogether the food and service contributed to a very enjoyable evening.

We were met as we entered the building by a lovely Lady who showed us to our reserved table, she checked that the table was suitable due to myself being disabled. The food was brought out promptly and looked delightful, all four of us like that the veg was brought out in dishes so we could help ourselves. We were given plenty of meat and the most amazing Yorkshire pudding. We will definitely be going for Sunday lunch again.

Very pleasant and friendly staff. Good food and very efficient for 10 of us! Our second visit in the last month or two. Thank you Zak and team I'm sure we will be back again soon.

Came up with my 4 year old, 7 year old and mum, and dad.
My mums 75th birthday and had an amazing meal. The staff was kind, friendly, very chatty with the kids they loved the waitress Kayley she was wonderful with them.
The lady with the blond hair (think its the new Manageress) was great bought our birthday cake out with all the staff. Loved the atmosphere 5* will be back again. 👌

Found the Stag by pure luck. Just been taken over by a really lovely lady, who made us very welcome. The Food was superb, wife had lamb shank ( which she struggled to finish)and I had the chicken burger. Everything was pipping hot and cooked perfectly. Service was fast and efficient. I can't recommend this pub highly enough.

Greeted with a smile and welcome hello, asked if we had a booking, and shown to table.
Given a few minutes to look at the menu, then asked if we were ready to order, I enquired about the special offer and what drinks were included.
Only waited approx 15min for our food to arrive
Which was nicely presented exactly as described and hot.

Staff very welcoming and approachable.
Lovely atmosphere and decor, didn’t have to wait too long for food. Nice and clean and cutlery nice and clean. Food arrived hot and cooked to a good standard.
Meal choice was good and very reasonable, giving us value for money.
Will definitely return.

Excellent all round! A warm, cosy, traditional (but up to date) family pub with plenty of space inside and out. Dog friendly as well - I presume for well behaved doggies! Easy access and plenty of parking.

Really delicious, well cooked, beautifully presented, high quality food, served in generous portions and all piping hot. A perfect venue for a tasty Sunday lunch! Normal well stocked bar seems to cater for all tastes. Their prices are very reasonable indeed, and the "two for one" roast meals are really excellent value.

The staff are welcoming, helpful, charming, attentive and delightful - what more could one want? Very highly recommended: we will be back before long! Thank you for your hospitality.

A wonderful place to come for a meal or drink! My family been coming here for best part of over 15 years. The quality of food as never changed, service or atmosphere being calm.

A friend and I meet here a few times a year for a catch up. The staff are friendly and the service is polite. The food is good too.

Amazing food. Lovely service. Food dose take a little while to come out would be good for this to be mentioned incase people are in a hurry but wasn't an issue for us.

We were greeted and treated very well throughout our visit. The kitchen was very busy, and we were kept upto date with our choices, and when we were served, the food was very nice indeed, and excellent value. The lady we spoke with was a friendly person, and we will visit again in the near future. Thank you to all concerned

Ryan was an excellent host, although Ruby was definitely better to look at.
Will have to get there shortly after 5pm to see her. Conversation was sweet and short, a bit awkward for her, judging by her body language 😂🤣

My friends &I have met up for the last 3 Christmas’s and we have the festive menu which is such good value for great food. Friendly & professional service. Crackers on table & feeling very festive. We have agreed to get together in the summer next year & hopefully sit in the outdoor space. Lots of parking and great location as I’m from Bristol and they are Burnham in sea

Visited here for a family meal. Six of us. Plenty of parking. There was a quiz on (a Thursday night) we were invited to join in, but declined this time) we had starters and mains. Good sized portions. The food was piping hot. The serving staff were friendly and polite 😁. This is our 2nd visit ☺. We will come again, because we didn't manage dessert this time

Came for a anniversary/husbands birthday, I really enjoyed my food, massive amounts of food, staff was super nice and felt very looked after. Will definitely be back very soon and bringing my puppy.

Enjoyed a lunch here today with my kids. Food was lovely, served in good time. Decent selection on the menu, including the kids menu. Staff were friendly too.

It was for a lovely family get together on a cold, wet Saturday afternoon and there was lots of chat and catching up to do, but we never felt hurried by staff. We all enjoyed our food and if there was anything left on the plates it was because we had sizable portions.

Food was fantastic, freshly cooked, hot and delicious. Definitely good value for money, very friendly staff and great family atmosphere. Will definitely be going more regularly.
