A massive castle that can be seen from miles away. There are many things to see and do and is well worth the price tag. Great views from the castle walls and towers. We went during an Easter event, which had a trail for the kids. The cavern under the castle is amazing. There are lots of places to eat and a nice gift shop at the entrance.

Tickets were £10 for an adult, £9 for seniors. The castle welcomes dogs including within the cafe. The castle itself was massive, surprising amount still intact considering its age.

Optional hour long tours were included within the ticket price throughout the day. Glorious on a sunny day as was done outside. We joined one of these with an engaging tour guide Gareth (a former history teacher) who was really knowledgeable about various histories of Pembroke castle.

Lovely castle with tours every hour. The guide was very nice, knowledgeable and quite funny.
A lot to see and could spend hours there. The tour did not involve going up or down any stairs so it's good for those with disabilities.
Great views from the top of the tower (the steps weren't too bad).
There are a couple of parking places nearby (£4 for five hours).

What a day, the weather was beautiful, and the adventure was real.
I thought my 5 year old would be bored, but she loved every minute of it, from all the rooms with the projectors telling mini segment stories of the castle and who came to be there.
Even though the castle was tremendous, I found the 12000 year old cavern below the most interesting.

Well worth the money, free tours every 30 minutes, 10 minute intro movie (don't miss) as you first walk through the gate house, parking not very far away, a little steep for some people I guess, so could take that into consideration. Lovely gift shop, and not too pricey.

Of all the castles we have visited in the UK this one is close to the top of the list. Well restored in places good access to almost all areas and some great photo opportunities.

Absolutely brilliant experience! We decided to do the free walking tour of the castle. Most definitely worth it. John, our guide, thoroughly explained the history of the castle, also entertaining the group with his jokes and enthusiasm.
The tours are three times a day, 11am, 1pm and 3pm. I highly recommend doing the tour as the guides explain the castle in a lot more depth.
We explored parts of the castle whilst on the tour and then did our own exploring afterwards. It’s a very large castle with lots to explore — going all the way to the top of the tours, and going down to the prehistoric cave under the castle.
The price point of 10 pound was worth it.

Best castle I have ever visited!!!!!!!

Don't let the price put you off, it's well worth the visit, adults are £10 or £11 with gift aid, kids and consensions £7.

There's a free guided tour each hour that's very good, we had John he was really funny and made it not only interesting but fun too.

We learnt a lot from his tour , like the meaning of being caught read handed , walking over the threshold and more. Cheers John.

We where going to leave for lunch and come back as long as you keep your ticket that's possible, John however told us the cafe was good so we took a look, we did eat there and yes it was OK for ease but we're not very impressed with the price or the service, I know it's convenient being in the castle but reasonably priced I feel not so much so we shared a meal.

Back to the castle, it's really interactive and informative there really is so much to see and do unlike many ruins Pembroke castle is very well looked after and in good maintaine for the age it is, we spent 4 hours there's so giving the entry prices it's very good vaule and I'd think we could have spent at least another hour there had we fully emerged ourselves in the history boards about the castle.

Its dog friendly, has good disability access and much of it is accessible with ease so very enjoyable if you have mobility restrictions due to the layout you can allow children to run around the large open area but of course becareful !

Access via town is easy with carparks and public transport close by, along with a nice walk around the lake or a pint and a meal waterside.

Well worth a visit

Historical tour and visit. Had a great time strolling around! Great tourist guide esp. Mr who really good at narrating the stories. Will visit again! This is a slow tour so you could enjoy the moment with family, friends and loved one. Souveneer shop outside the castle and in the streeet! First time to visit a real castle and it did not disappoint me. 10pounds per adult with free castle map to avail in the souveneer shop / stall before entrance!

Another great castle. Tour guide John was very friendly and brought humour and history together.

Castle has a lot to explore and experience. Lots of steep , stone spiral steps so caution needed on a damp day.

The tickets can be bought there and there is car park space nearby.
We went during half-term holidays so there were activities for the kids like they can dress up as knights in the knight school, kids did easter hunt trails and there is also a falcon show on certain days.
There was a free guided tour as well as videos where you can sit and watch the history of Pembroke castle.

A fun place to spend the day with family! Beneath the castle, there is a cavern called Wogan Cavern, which was used by humans more than 12,000 years ago.

Paddle West Row Boating, just outside the castle, is a must-try. You can even catch a glimpse of Skye, the castle dog.

The guided talk is worth it. Nice history and the grounds are pretty large. Small cafe so when busy wait times might be long.

Do not miss a guided tour! Our tour guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable and clearly loved her job! We spent 2 and a half hours exploring and didn’t even get chance to visit the cafe.
The climb up to the top of the keep (or donjon) was worth it for the views.
Dog-friendly too, which was a bonus for us.

Didn't go inside as we had our dog, but walked around the outside and I have to say it looked magnificent. Incredible history associated with this castle, with being the birthplace of Henry VII, who would herald in the Tudor dynasty probably being the most significant. We parked in the parade car park, which is just £3 for the whole day, a lot cheaper than the Castle car park.
