The tennis community at David Lloyd’s is one to be envied all across Suffolk. We have the most amazing players who are so friendly on and off court. The club runs multiple sessions which accommodate all levels and all feel very welcomed. The coaches, Michael, Sheila and Ollie are so supportive in facilitating good tennis all round; with great tournaments and coaching sessions for all. Scott Lennard is an amazing general manager who not only supports the tennis community and our events but has been known to participate as well. All round the tennis atmosphere for those starting out or those who are advanced players is excellent.

David Lloyd’s ipswich is all round an amazing social place that is great for families, Kerri the activities manager has an amazing programme to entertain kids of all ages. Jade the food and beverage manger runs a tight ship in the lounge with an amazing menu. Her staff are friendly kind and incredible in their service. The staff make you feel at home and special even though the club is made up of loads of members. Jonathan and Kat are so friendly and always make my day special; and all the kids love them. Quinn and Sophie are so polite and always attentive to members needs.

Hats off to Scott and Tel for running a safe, friendly and amazing club.

Fantastic club to be a part of. My two boys absolutely love their tennis lessons. My youngest has Sheila and Jamie, both of which he adores, it makes me so happy to see the joy on his face whilst he is playing. My oldest has Michael who he thinks is fab and always makes the kids laugh. My husband and I also play, we enjoy the competitive tennis led by Coach Ollie Sutton and also the social side that comes with it too. We have made wonderful friends through DL tennis. Definitely 5 stars!

We've been members of David Lloyd, Ipswich for over 5 years now what sets this club over others we've been members of is its coaching programs and staff. Love it here, been a member for a couple of years and visit 4-5 times a week. Partly for the cafe which is a good working environment during the day, and Kat is great, and partly for the tennis, lead by Ollie Sutton and ably assisted by Michael Billson.

I particularly like the social tennis sessions, some of which are run by members and others by coaches. Always a welcoming atmosphere even for distinctly "intermediate" players like myself.

We were inducted by Luke who was very helpful, listening to what we were looking to achieve and showing us all of the facilities before explaining the various options for membership. Looking forward to getting started.

EDIT - now a month and a half in and really enjoying everything. Had my 3 free personal training sessions with Malin and signed up children for additional sports lessons. Have joined in with the social squash evenings too.

Our son had a free introductory session with Ollie to tennis on their Big Weekend, which was great and has now signed up to have a free month of tennis stars lessons off the back of that which he will continue.

Our daughter has made use of the creche several times and loves it there, and we've been able to go swimming as a family quite a bit.

I have been a member of the club since 2001 and have thoroughly enjoyed playing social and competitive tennis both in teams and singles competitions and in the organised club sessions and coaching activities. The opportunities to get involved for all levels of player are very good and inclusive with a variety of themed events, which brings the social off court experience for members to enjoy. Ollie Sutton has been integral in making this happen alongside his coaching team. His enthusiasm and time dedicated to make it all happen is very clear and hugely appreciated. If you would like a club to play tennis and get involved then David Lloyd is the place for you.

Have been a member of David Lloyd Ipswich for 12 years and I do not know what I would do without our membership. The indoor facilities are second to none. I predominantly use the Tennis courts which all have fabulous new lighting (across the whole club too). Ollie has lots of featured events for all tennis members with a range of social classes to suit all. Both my grandchildren love the Junior tennis. Indoor courts are always available to book. The club also has a very supportive Manager ( Scott ) who has taken the club to another level from the club I originally joined. I can honestly say it is full value for money and a great time to be a racquet s member of David Lloyd, Ipswich.

The club and the whole team, including Ollie Sutton and Michael Billson have been amazing in my daughters, JJ s, tennis development. Couldn't be happier and more grateful. Best indoor courts, good availability, great club sessions and competitions and amazing support and coaching for performance juniors. 👏
Huge bonus to be able to use the gym, spa, pool etc while the experts work on the tennis with JJ. Most tennis centres parents have to just sit and watch. Many thanks to the whole team.

Both my sons have been attending the all stars tennis programme since September, one coached by Shelia, and the other by Ollie and Michael. The sessions are fantastic- very supportive coaching environment and high performance culture. We have seen a significant improvement in the boys tennis 🎾 skills, coupled with lots of opportunities for constructive feedback and team building.
The facilities are excellent and the support has been second to none. All of the coaches have offered excellent feedback and encouragement for the boys.

A club that has something for everyone. Indoor tennis, squash & badminton courts, a huge gym, studios, outdoor and indoor swimming pool, sauna, jacuzzi, etc. Every time we're at the club, we get the holiday feeling. Intense activity is followed by a relaxing atmosphere in the swimming pool/sauna area. Everything is cleaned and well maintained. The staff is always welcoming and helpful. The thing that impressed me and my son the most was the support from the entire tennis coaching team (Ollie, Sheila, Michael). They are putting their time and effort into arranging club sessions or fun competitions suitable for all levels. Also, the club offers a range of individual & group coaching sessions for every age or playing level. I sometime use the stretching & yoga classes, and they help a lot with my tennis. To conclude, this is a place where every member of my family is having a great time!

I recently started tennis lessons with Ollie Sutton and it's absolutely fantastic! He is very patient, and really helped improve my skills. I loved the personalized feedback and the drills we did. Overall, it was a great experience and I highly recommend it! 🎾😊

I had a great time here visiting from the Chigwell brunch… whilst traveling for work. Got to do two of my classes that I would have missed at my local.

The body pump class with Mags Z.. she was lovely and also had Stretch and mobility class with Mags. If you a member or thinking of becoming one I would recommend Body pump at 17:05 and Stretch and Mobility at 18:05 with Mags Z on Thursdays

The receptionist was great with directing me as it was my first time at the club.

I had a great time here too.. now whenever I am in Ipswich for work I know I can keep up with my scheduled classes

Brilliant club, friendly, huge gym, great classes and lovely warm pool. Such a treat to sit in the jacuzzi after a good workout.
Luke was great at responding and answering any questions I had about membership. I also love the cafe/restaurant, great food and their smoothies are delicious. The manager Jonathon and his team give the impression that nothing is too much trouble.

I hadn’t played tennis properly since high school so was looking to refresh my skills. I booked a course with Ollie who was really helpful and constructive, helping me regain my confidence in tennis, to the point where I actively look to participate in the awesome social opportunities on offer!

I love going with my work colleagues after a day at work to play a few sets on the indoor courts (which are amazing by the way). The ease of booking a court during the day is a big factor in my regular visits here!

Top rating for the tennis coaches, Ollie, Sheila and more recently Michael, who have been amazing throughout the development of my kids. The technical aspect of the game paired with the creativity in teaching creates a fun Environment for these youngsters.
On top, the professional and respectful attitude from the coaching team adds to the quality of the service and provides many important aspects to take for life.

David Lloyd Ipswich has an excellent Racquet facilities for tennis, squash and badminton. The courts are easy to book via the app or at the club. Ollie Sutton has been an amazing tennis coach for our son whose gone from being a novice to a confident player in a very short time. He did great with my husband too who was looking to improve his game. Can't appreciate the whole tennis team enough at David Lloyd for doing what they do, running sessions and hosting great tournaments for all ages. Would highly recommend them!

5 stars for the racquets team led by Ollie. As someone who had never played tennis Ollie managed to get me playing tennis in my early 50s to a level where I can enjoy to play socially. He’s a very patient coach and whereas normally I would dread having to do exercise, I look forward to our sessions each week.

I recently joined the gym on a family membership. Kate on sales was absolutely amazing! Very prompt at answering all my questions by email and when i attended the club for a meet with her, she went above any beyond to accommodate all my needs. Very grateful for all your help and assistance Kate, thanks again 😊

I recently joined the club with my husband and two children. All of the staff have be very welcoming, friendly and helpful. I have done a few different classes since joining, and tried Rhythm today for the first time with Bradley and it was the BEST indoor cycling class I have ever done!! Bradley took the time to explain the class to me, as a new member, and was very welcoming! He kept the group motivated and engaged, and really made us work!! I can't wait to do his class again!

I run the David Lloyd book club in Ipswich. We have a year long dedicated core group who attend enthusiastically each month. We’ve had authors, including myself, join us and it’s so much fun! Jade is one member of the DL team who has facilitated afternoon teas and makes sure we’re all comfortable but the team members are all brilliant! I use the club every day and my son is a member. It’s clean, has great facilities, including a large indoor and an outdoor pool! This place is motivational for the body and the mind!
