B&Q Bury St.Edmunds

I wasn’t planning on buying a B&Q kitchen but I had an excellent experience at B&Q, largely thanks to Ellie. Her exceptional service went above and beyond – she was friendly, attentive, and thoroughly discussed all my options, providing invaluable assistance throughout. Highly recommended.

Clearly the better of the big two DIY chains. Much more choice of items. And you don't have to drive over 30 potholes to get to a ridiculously small car park either!
Updated 2022 to say they do need to stock all items for click/collect and not just do click and collect on the items they stock. Would help a lot if stuff ordered came in on lorry like it does at Asda or John Lewis for example. But still my go to DIY chain.
2023 update: self service checkouts are good, once you know how to work them. Unfortunately too many people aren't regulars so the assistant is constantly helping folk out and queues build up. Also had a kitchen design appointment at thus branch and found Ellie very helpful and the printed outline quote was the most informative and comprehensive we have had from any of our design visits at other suppliers.

I called in to the Bury St Edmunds store yesterday - I had a complaint unfortunately 😞
Never happened before.
This was dealt with smoothly and quickly by Susie on the till also Mark the Assistant Manager I believe?
Both these members of staff earned a well deserved 10/10

Can't really complain... A DIY store that supplies a decent variety of items

Kitchens, plumbing, electrics, fixtures and fittings, in addition to your typical DIY tools, screws, bolts, nails, paints, etc, as well as a well stocked garden section

Friendly, knowledgeable and helpful staff at B&Q Bury, Keith's your man for blending Valspar paints!

Great place to buy all of your house building supplies, friendly staff and everything is easy to find in store.

A big thank you to the manager of Bury St Edmunds branch(John). He went out of the way to assist me when I managed to mess up my online order. He not only made sure that my order was corrected he also advised me on how to sort out the delivery. It is so lovely to have this kind of customer service. Would definitely shop in store and on line again.

Nice well stocked store.

Manager was extremely helpful at this store - drove all the way to Ipswich and back to collect an item for me that was supposed to be at this branch. Service was above expected and all staff were very polite. Shelves stocked well too.

Very helpful & knowledgable staff . As usual , B & Q has a great selection of items for inside & outside of your home. Have recently moved into area & will be making plenty of visits to this branch of one of my favourite places to shop !!

Visited store to collect a click and collect order and whilst there picked up some paint samples.
Staff member who served me on the till was very friendly and chatty and was very efficient.

Went in for some decorating materials. Had some help from a very helpful assistant. Very pleased with the advice that he gave.

Amazing help from the staff I had the pleasure to deal with today. From the young guy (I believe his name was George) for taking a mower and managing to fit it in my little car, and the advice from the man that served me on the till. Credit where credits due, they were fab! Thank you
