The Lord High Constable of England - JD Wetherspoon

A truly great British pub located in the heart of Gloucesters historic quays. It offers a great selection of real ales, continental lagers & a good choice of alcohol free drinks. The food is spot on, very reasonably priced and served shortly after ordering. A must visit authentic British Wetherspoons pub 👍

Amazing service, the view of the water is amazing from the top. Only two minor complaints, for my drink I had the big apple juice and it was mainly ice cubes hardly any apple juice. For the food I had scrambled eggs on toast, the scrambled eggs were amazing but the toast was slightly burnt. Other than that it was amazing, would definitely go back.

Very busy but don't let that stop you from having a good night out. We ordered on the app and the food was with us within 5 minutes. Amazed and impressed. Drinks were a little longer but hey..... as I said, it's a busy night. Food was fantastic. Nice and hot. Waiting and bar staff very polite and friendly. A credit to the hospitality service of the venue. Keep up the good work.

Lovely atmosphere, polite friendly staff, always pleased with the quality of food.

The restaurant has a lovely atmosphere although it is a little stuffy upstairs. Overall everything is great. The food was amazing. And it arrived really quickly. The workers were lovely and polite!!! Would definitely recommend!!! 👍👍👍

I had breakfast here. Good value but it wasn't very hot, barely warm actually. This 4 stars for food.

Had a lovely meal here with my daughter, shopping sales after Christmas , food was ordered and came out quickly considering how busy the place was. Food was piping hot, staff attentive and polite. Decent place to eat not overly priced.

Some great guest cask ales on in here today and it’s Cask Monday so even cheaper.

Great resteraunt, one of my faveroute chain of restaurants to go to. The food is really nice, it came out steaming hot all the dishes were cooked and the staff were really nice and the food came out literally 5 minutes after we ordered. Overall I would give this resteraunt a 5/5. Great work.

Extremely busy when visiting today but still managed to get a table. The decor is in keeping with the area and its history. Food arrived relatively quickly although there was a bit of a delay with the drinks but all in all had a great time and will certainly visit again.

When you go to Wheatherspoons, it's always with an open mind, no high expectations, as long as your food comes and all is in order, given the value all round, you are happy.

However this Wheatherspoons is different, the service, food and drink is excellent. We stayed in the area overnight, so had both our evening meal and breakfast at The Lord High Constable.

Friday night - 8.30pm, the place was rammed, drinks came within 3 minutes of ordering on app, very soon after our food.

Saturday breakfast, the same level of service and the restaurant was again busy. Exellent breakfast menu and food was tasty well presented and as ever great value.

This restaurant must have exellent management who in turn motivate their staff, to the highest standard of service. All staff where very friendly and could not do enough for you.

I like it here; it can get busy but the location is fantastic and you’ve got so many views from the old docks to the warehouses and out across the canal.

The food is decent, tons of options and the building itself is nice in the sense if you want a chilled spot you can, you want busy , you can!

For a ‘spoons - it’s good!

A decent pub with very reasonably priced drinks. Tables available in the middle of a Saturday afternoon. Bar was busy, so it took a while to get served. Nice place to go some 'refreshment' during a shopping trip to the Quays!

Enjoyed a full day breakfast. Good value. The other members of my family all had various dishes which they enjoyed. Two meals included soft drinks and one family member upgraded her inclusive wine, which was still reasonably priced. When we ordered coffees the price included as many refills as we wanted. All in all a good value lunch.

Lovely manager (he looked like the manager) taking his time to show our clients how to use the coffee machine and talk with them about the football match we are going to watch later. Very patient and understanding of our needs.

Light and airy Spoons on the quay - friendly staff and usual standard Weths food, i.e. tasty and good value. The better of the two Spoons in Gloucester - cheers :-)

Popped in for a quick meal and we weren’t disappointed! The steak was not only cooked better than when we went to a restaurant and paid 3 times more the previous week, but service was quick and really friendly. Ryan was great!! :-)

Had aa leaving celebration for a wonderful colleague. Great night, no complaints, food was great, drinks and service quick exactly what you want on a night out

Visited lunch time on a Friday, service was fast and friendly, food came quickly. Would be 5 stars but the chips served with the ham & egg seemed a smaller portion than it used be/should be. Boneless basket was well portioned. Toilets were clean and of a high standard, overall was a lovely place to eat.

Wetherspoon food there is nothing to complain about worth every penny you pay and the cocktail was great. Enjoyed the food and the drink and highly recommended.
