Great traditional fish & chip shop! Spotlessly clean, fresh fish daily, friendly courteous service, great prices!

Went here randomly as it was near my uni.
The smell in the shop was nice so decided to try their chips.
However the chips didn't look nice because they were brown but they were actually good as in not greasy.
It was nice how they also had an extra sheet of real newspaper as well to give it that chippy touch.

Great local fish bar. Excellent quality for the price. Ozzie is such a lovely guy, with always a friendly word and a smile. A real gentleman, although he would say that you are the gentleman. Great food, great place (or plaice). Recommended.

My favourite fish place! I feel lucky to live nearby. I came from the US and fried chicken was my favourite.. until I had Fish and Chips. I have to be careful to not eat it too often.

Incredible customer service - they know their regulars and are always there with a smile and a ‘how are you’! A proper chippy, with great portion sizes and non-greasy chips. Never a bad experience and a great pick-me-up after a long day of work or uni!

This shop has got variety of fish and chicken and other food as you love. Also the food is fresh and descent amount they provide.
The guy who serves is so kind and he always fills his customers heart by a smile. I always come down the lane to pick my food from here. I am loving it.

I’ve lived in Bethnal Green all my life, I wouldn’t go to any other fish shop but Ocean Bar! Food is always bang on, owners are lovely and always making me laugh! Highly recommended! 🫶🏼

The fish is to die for, so tender! And the curry sauce just brings everything to a new level, friendly staff as well :) will be coming back

Had an appointment across the road at the private hospital, decided to pop in as the smell was appeasing. Best move I made.

The owner is a great chap, very welcoming and helpful.

The fish and chips here is what you call traditional English fish and chips, full of flavour and a very good sized portion.

I had a large fish, chips, bread roll and 2 cans of pop it set be back £13.90. Considering the size it worked out a hell lot cheaper, quality and attentive customer experience than my local chippy.

On the price side of it, it’s actually definitely more than worth it for London and the cost of living.

I would definitely be returning here.

On a final note, the reviews below this are quite funny. They claim this establishment don’t take card payments when incase they actually do take them.

Great Fish and Chips for Stepney! Really well priced. A lot better tasting and cheaper then the overpriced hipster spots in Brick Lane & Shoreditch!
