Lidl

The joy and downside of buying way more than you planned and finding things you have wanted but never got around to getting makes shopping at Lidl more than just a typical supermarket experience.

I popped in for pots of herbs - hoping to find rosemary and mint, but there was none. They have a selection of plants, which I am always tempted by. Today I picked up a eucalyptus plant and I'm going to try lavender plugs (even though for years I've tried and failed.

I remember the first time I came to Lidl, the produce and range wasn't that fresh. Not any more!

Choose from the different types tomatoes, savour the fragrance of the massive array of freshly baked pastries (they were putting out a freshly baked batch when I was there), end up buying kitchenware, treat yourself to the new Ferrero icecream on sale at £3.75 compared to £5 elsewhere, and of course, ogle the chocolate (was looking for nougat but there was none), and they have a few biscuits which might take your fancy. I am partial to malted milk which I haven't had in ages.

It's always fun to see what random items they are stocking eg air fryer, mini fan with mist, rotating serving chopping board. I always think ooh I wouldn't mind that, but thankfully reason takes over as 1. How will I get it home and 2. Where will I put it?

The staff were helpful, providing price checks. Even the security lady was lovely. There are quite a few items without prices, but you can forgive them because they are busy restocking shelves. Unlike some other places, they are really great at not letting them become really empty.

There's not many dried herbs. It's also surprising to see things like fresh nuts. Half the registers aren't working, but the queue moves pretty quickly.

The fish is cheaper than many other supermarkets in the area. The cost of fruit and vegetable is competitive too.

I like seeing what international frozen goods are new in their store

There is a car park if you are driving, and it's close by the canal if you fancy a stroll. Tesco is opposite if you are desperate for anything Lidl doesn't stock.

I did end up spending more than I should have (which is why I try not to go to Lidl too much) because I bought a pyrex with a lid, a plant pot and the plants, plus a few other bits. So, there was no need to go to Tesco as I couldn't carry more. I headed out into the rain. At least I could try the Ferrero icecream when I got home. It was delish!

After four years of shopping at Asda, I switched to Lidl. Should have done so way sooner! Such a pleasant shopping experience, fresh fruits and bakery goods even at 5pm on a busy Saturday and tons of amazing vegan products! Good prices as well.

Very convenient and close to amenities; Buses nearby with easy connection to Mile end Tube station and wesferry DLR Station and customers car park and not to mention the affordability compared to other nearby retailers. Almost anything individual and family essentials at affordable prices. So much to say, but seeing is believing as they say. I highly recommend everyone to come and see for yourselves. You will not be disappointed.

Lidl has good produce and good deals.

Lidls is always great when it comes to low-priced shopping. This Lidls is further away than our local, but this has some really nice produce, and their 'Middle of Lidl' has far more variety than my local. Always a good to mention, they also have a post-it locker in their huge carpark, which is ultra handy when you want to send off some vinted parcels, then pop in few a few bits and bobs for lunch or dinner.

My favourite place to shop at. They alwasy have enough parking available. Their early morning bakery is just amazing.

I don't think they have good deals in this shop, however it is the cheapest store in the area. No competitors

Service was good. One staff member is very kind asking am i okay or not. I really appreciated

This Lidl is the best only they have one problem with cash register several don't work people wait on cue everything else is good

Decent size store? Well stocked and helpful staff. It was an one off trip, so it was what I was expecting. Locals will be able to review this place better.

5 star as my experience was as good as it can be.

Good prices for baking stuff in lockdown, gonna have to be quick, the stuff like icing sugar get sold out fast

This review is to balance out the unjustified bad review one Karen is going to give today about not being greeted by Rashad in Lidl Limehouse.
Also, while I was shopping today I heard one employee asking a colleague if he still had trouble sleeping. I found that very heartwarming❤
How about we be more kind to one another and solve our frustrations by not taking it on other people!

Bakery are fresh and good price. Plenty of fresh groceries at reasonable prices too. Love shopping here!

Nice prices compared to other stores and can similar name brands just at a cheaper price and especially with the prices going up so essential

Good product and staff are very helpful

Everything about the store is good it is organized cleaned regularly restock mostly all the time and more what I’m most happy about is that they brought back the maple pecan plaits I’ve been dying for them I even tried to make it at home😅 but yeah I hope they reduce the price in the future but it is what it is keep up the good work lidl!!!

I was surprised when I walked in that the bakery wasn't right at the front, like in most stores. Not sure the reason for this, but otherwise a very standard Lidl. As per my picture, I love the choco thins...but only the salted caramel ones, and annoyingly they come in multipacks. The salted caramel ones are normally sold out ... So I was very pleased to find 7 today. If you're looking for them, I wouldn't go today, as I bought all of them 😜

Azim is an absolute gem! He went out of his way to make sure I got my frozen foods despite a path blockage. His dedication and helpfulness were truly impressive. I can't thank him enough for saving the day! 🙌 #AzimTheHero

Everything about the store is good sections very organised as I’m very glad the maple pecan plaits are back I wish I was cheaper though but besides that great store.
