The Puriton Inn

Fabulous, really good food, really lovely staff.

We were on our way to meet up with our daughter and her partner, who had been attending a wedding in Cornwall, and were travelling back to Shropshire.
I phoned to ask if a table for four was available, and received a very friendly response.
On arrival, we were made to feel very welcome, including our dog.
The food portions were ample, well prepared and well presented.
The bill was so reasonable that my wife asked if there had been a mistake.
The pub and it's owners deserve success, especially as we have encountered so many bad examples of customer service elsewhere.

Went for dinner tonight. I wasn't disappointed, excellent meal and staff were great 👍 Had Chicken New Yorker for main and Toblerone Cheesecake for dessert 😋.

We stopped here randomly as a halfway stop for our journey. The staff were really friendly and polite. The facilities were immaculate. The food was lovely (and we have 2 very fussy children) the premises were child and dog friendly the kids loved the park and Gizmo the dog.

The staff were busy and when the children asked them a question they stopped and gave the same level of customer service as they did for us adults.

Also there were a few Vegatarian options which suited our family as well.

I would highly recommend this place.

Great food and beer. The Puriton burger takes a good appetite to finish but is worth the effort. Large portions and no end of extras available. Service was great and a real credit to the village.

Lovely welcoming family and dog friendly village pub, with very relaxed atmosphere! Owners were very friendly and so were their bar team! Great beer garden with fab play area for children! Only stopped for Shandy's and fizz for the kids and a bowl of chips on this occasion, but will definitely be back for food and will pop by more often! Gizmo the resident retriever pup is adorable! Sky sports shown here too! What a lush hidden little gem! Just off M5, J23, with large carpark! Lots of improvements taking place too for the summer!

My wife and I held a meal for 24 people the staff Gemma and kirsty were great hosts and everyone enjoyed the food we held this meal for her mother who sadly passed away in September we were looked after and everyone enjoyed the day at the puriton inn .we truly recommend this pub for there hard work and hospitality

Motorhome stopover on the way down to Cornwall from Yorkshire. Less than a minute off the M5. £15 for overnight parking and a hook up. Food and beer good.

Stopped here due to horrific traffic on the way back from Cornwall rather than a service station and so glad we did. Did was amazing and the staff were so helpful and friendly. Much better food than I would've expected and in particular the steak, which was absolutely beautiful and perfectly cooked. The clue was when I read they get their meat from a local butcher. Highly recommend if anyone is stuck on the motorway looking for a place to stop 👍

Lovely quiet country pub with well-priced menu of great food and very good customer service. Large car park with hook-ups for motorhomes.

Great pub stop over with our motorhome for the night on route to Cornwall, had a bar basket meal cheap and cheerful. Plus a pint, shame my partner didn't feel 100% as you serving his favourite real ale, thank you and definitely use you again as night stop over

Came today(24th Dec 2021) for lunch with a friend. The meals were absolutely lovely. The service was first rate. The young lady who served us was very helpful & very polite, could not fault her. Would highly recommend.

We were driving down to Cornwall on holiday and unfortunately had a blowout. So we managed to come off the motorway and find this little pub, they let us wait in the pub garden for a recovery vehicle and have a drink. They were really lovely including all the customers! Thankyou so much for being so accommodating when we needed help the most!
