Stayed on first leg of cycling holiday. Added bonus was the garage for storage of these, along with garage of items to maintain bikes. Unexpected but definitely welcome.

Kitchen and communal room was stand out compared to other places have visited. Think you would struggle to beat these.

Views from communal room over to harbour and sunset felt more like the Mediterranean rather than Northumbria.

Would highly recommend and would have loved to have seen the 2 penthouse apartments.

Booked for my hubby and some friends. Their first cycle ride of the year. What a gem of a place, will definitely return.
Hospitality excellent, facilities excellent, five star all round. Staff went above and beyond to ensure they had a great experience.

We stayed here this weekend and we'll be back again. The rooms are clean and new, the open living, dining and kitchen area is clean, spacious and modern as well. As a family of four we also came with a dog and opted for a ground floor room, which had direct access to a gravel area outside (great for night time wees for the pooch). The room was so spacious, which is great for the kids.

Amble is fairly small, but the kids loved it and we soent all day exploring the beach hut shops, pier, rock pools, little playground and beach / old pool area. There's also a lot of eateries with seafood, fish and chips, pizza, chinese and cafes (the Boatshed had the loviest cakes and the Geordie Bangers co had delicious sausage rolls and pork pies).

The staff at Radcliffes are so lovely. They helped me with my questions (before booking) and were so helpful when we checked in.

We'll definitely be back again, thanks for having us. 😁

We have stayed here 3 times now and will come back again. We have 2 autistic children who struggle with going away but they were so excited to realise we were back here again.

The rooms are very clean and well set out, the kitchen and lounge are large and absolutely spotless.

The only down sides for me are no way of locking the door so we have to barracade it with bags (not an issue if your kids aren’t escape artists like ours!) and the shower sensor kept switching off.

Our room got quite hot as the sun was setting onto this side of the building but with the patio door open it was lovely with a bit of a breeze and a view onto the marina. The curtains are proper black out ones which is perfect for putting little ones to bed when still light outside.

We had such a wonderful time at Radcliffe Lodges. The rooms were massive and the beds were very comfy, which is something I wouldn't expect from a normal hostel! All rooms and communal areas were that clean that our babies played on the floors without any fuss or worries they'd touch something they shouldn't.
Location wise it was ideal within walking distance of the town, Quay and beach areas. We have n electric car and panicked that we wouldn't find a EV charging point..luckily the owner made is aware of 2 ev charging spots right round the corner that charged our car up without any fuss.

All in all, a great visit to a lovely hostel and definitely will be back for another visit soon!

Great find. A "boutique" hostel. Super new everything really clean. Amanda checked in 4 weary cyclists, showed us the room, drying room, bicycle garage, lounge/kitchen with free tea/coffee cereal, bread, milk. Thank you Amanda. We will be back.

Absolutely perfect. Ignore the negatives, this place is the most welcoming place I’ve stayed in a long time and they go the extra mile if there’s an issue. Communal lounge is fantastic and the rooms are spacious and well designed. 5/5 any day of the week.

My friend and I stayed Friday to Sunday in a 4-bunk room, we were blown away by the quality of the whole place, and really enjoyed our stay. Tony the owner or manager (?) was really helpful, and very passionate about the place. I’ve given it 5-stars because for the price it was exceptional.

It was a last minute booking as the previous accomodation was cancelled and we are glad they did. The host Tony was really friendly, helpful and accommodating. We also had our dog and that wasn't a problem. The rooms were spacious, clean, stylish, modern and full of everything you would need. Lovely comfortable nights sleep with stunning views of the harbour. Beautiful communal area with a great selection for breakfast. I would highly recommend this accommodation to anyone, fantastic host, fantastic stay. Thanks again Tony 😁🐾🚶‍♀

Beautiful spacious family room with amazing views of the marina and Warkworth Castle. (My mum has mobility problems _ but there's a lift to the kitchen/dining room). The room was decorated to a high standard. There's a communal lounge/ dining room/ well stocked kitchen and a light breakfast (choice of cereals, toast, jams) included in the price. The staff couldn't have been more helpful in making our stay enjoyable. We'll worth a visit

Phenomenal place. Newly renovated so everything fresh. Huge rooms, all newly built, with patio doors with views over the harbour. Amazing shared lounge and kitchen, with breakfast provided, which is great for those of us with kids! The owners are really helpful, always on hand for questions. Highly recommend!

This is a Superb quality bunkhouse with a fantastically helpful owner Tony. My wife and I were cycling the Coast and Castles route between Newcastle and Edinburgh. We arrived in Amble late evening to find a problem with our booked accommodation on a busy bank holiday weekend. All alternative accommodation was fully booked. We tried Radcliffes Lodge, which was also fully booked, but the super helpful owner Tony rescued the situation and set us up in an as-yet unfinished room for the night. Brilliant, as we would have had to cycle another 13 miles to the nearest room we could find. This bunkhouse is fabulous - great setting, facilities are superb, and finishing is of the highest standard. There is a bike storage and workshop room on the ground floor; a beautiful, huge, open lounge with massive kitchen area on the first floor, and high end fittings and equipment throughout. 10 out of 10. Thanks again Tony, will see you again when we are cycling up here next time. Iain and Jo.
