Smallford Farm Shop

Three generations - 7 of us turned up at the brilliant Italian Kitchen in Smallford Farm Shop. We were the last customers of the day slipping in before last orders for food. We could see the chef cleaning as if his shift was done and then we arrived! Poor guy!

Regardless the food and the staff welcome was second to none. Risotto, burgers, soup and snitzel all got resounding thumbs up as well as the bakes.

We’d had a difficult day as a family and the lunch together was a balm to that stress and sadness.

Thank you so much for giving us so much attention and energy at the end of your shift.

My friend and I found smallford farm shop on Google and decided to meet there for lunch one Saturday afternoon. We were not disappointed at all, there is a lovely shop upon arrival selling lots of lovely unique things, different gift ideas, food items etc. the restaurant area was full but the staff member was really helpful and friendly, we only had to wait under 10 minutes and a table was ready for us. The food was very good - would highly recommend the chicken burger, and the coffee was lovely. We both really enjoyed it and would definitely go back. The car park can get busy but we both managed to find a space.

Cute little farm shop with lovely cafe attached. Farm shop is full of fresh deli foods and lots of quirky products to buy. They also have a home section with plates, vases etc

At the restaurant I had the chicken Caesar salad, my brother had the ham and cheese toastie - which looked great.
The Caesar salad was quite average but still yummy. Salad was £13, quite toot in my opinion. But overall the lunch was nice.

Staff where friendly - no table service.

First time to this shop on Sunday. Had Pork roast and Beef. I have to say the star was the vegetables, those were amazing. Pork was a surprise too. Beef was a bit over cooked. But overall still very good restaurant with friendly staff and really good food.

In my mind I think I would give 4.5 (point loss due to the roast beef) but given you can’t do that in google and I think this is a recommended restaurant I would still give it a 5.

Great find! Good selection of high-quality products, from fresh vegetables and fruits, meat and diary selection, to refined oils and pantry items, and some household items.

The place also has a large seating area with a nice menu, and the food looked and smelled delicious. Unfortunately, the place was full @lunch (during the weekend) so a reservation would be a good idea. Instead, I had a takeaway coffee and a pastry, which were both great.

Excellent food selections for grocery shopping and wonderful menu to taste in the cafe.
We tried the Sunday roast beef and everything was cooked exceptionally.
It’s located in a convenient location with available onsite parking.

Busy cafe with excellent service and food choices. Gourmet burger was a triumph. Lovely farm shop with so many goodies to choose. Highly recommended.

I cannot recommend this place enough!! DELICIOUS Italian food, truly reminded me of my childhood in South Italy. Great coffee. Lovely deli full of premium products at reasonable prices. Amazing locally grown veg. And now a butcher too! I'd give it 6 stars if I could.

Just back from our first visit to Smallford Farm Shop….we had breakfast and coffee, the quality of the food was superb….we then had a leisurely wander around the shop, we were particularly taken by the meat counter and friendly chat with the knowledgeable butcher Steve, we’ve just had the Italian sausages, which were delicious, tomorrow we’ve the thick pork chops……we will certainly be back sooner rather than later.

Got sandwich with mustard very tasty and bread very nice and feels like homemade not cheap but worth the price. Recomended 100%

Wow what an amazing find. Lovely farm shop. Amazing cafe. Roast beef sandwich with the balsamic onion chutney was a real treat. Proper tea made from lose leafs. Staff that smiled and were happy to help even though they were busy. In a tastefull setting. What more could you ask for?? If you visit and have to wait for a table, wait it will be worth it. Thank you for an amazing break from a busy day. We will be back.

Nice selection of meat at the butchers counter, fresh fruit, fresh veg, ground coffee, tea pigs, chutneys, wine, beer, jams, pickles, oils and preserves. Biscuits, crackers, travel mugs and cups, cafetières mugs. Too much to mention here. A really nice shop and also a cafe, I didn’t use it but it was quite full, not overly busy so I assume it’s popular.

Easy free parking. Upmarket delicatessen with nice gift department. The café has informal dining & delicious. We had full English & burger. Spacious & outside patio too. Dog friendly.

Great food and friendly service in the relaxing café. The shop too is excellent with a warm welcome and helpful staff highly knowledgeable about the wide range of kitchen and garden goods. A special mention for the organic wine selection which is excellent.

Lovely cafe and shop. Great coffee and good fresh, well-presented breakfast! My husband thoroughly enjoyed his full English and I enjoyed their version of eggs Benedict.

This place is so posh that even the shoplifters probably have an Oxbridge education.

Farm shop srt out for Christmas. Selection of different goods. Cafe food and drink very nice and worth the money paid.

I popped in for a coffee and breakfast (avocado on toast) when I was down the road getting my car serviced. My partner and I came back today for a Sunday roast (beef and vegan), it was absolutely delicious and great service! Highly recommend. Thank you 😊 My other half said it was the nicest roast beef he’d eaten in years!

Met my friend for a lovely Sunday brunch. Absolutely delicious, beautifully presented food in a wonderful, relaxed setting. Great, friendly service and reasonably priced too. Lots of choice, including excellent vegan/vegetarian/intolerance options. Highly recommend!

I often visit this little gem of a farm shop and this weekend I decided to go for their Sunday roast dinner. I had beef and my family chose the pork - both were lovely and tender and were served along with a huge platter of all your favourite roast accompaniments - parsnips, carrots, potatoes, cabbage and massive Yorkshire puddings! Gravy was top notch and it all went down a treat. Special mention to Tom and Dora who were running a very tight ship on a busy Sunday afternoon.
