Comfy and quiet overnight stay and three course meal (incredible sticky toffee pudding) in the middle of Reeth. £23 for two courses, £27 for three which was decent. Catered well for veggies. New chef owner who's working his socks off - really hope he succeeds!

Managed to get a vacancy when I called in to Reeth whilst I was hiking the C2C.
Good price.
Rooms are traditionally decorated but that's not a bad thing. Very clean. Beds are very comfy.
Staff are super friendly and helpful.
The bacon cheeseburger is fantastic.
Breakfast is top notch.

The only gripe id say about the room I was in was the lack of sockets, which didn't impact me particularly but it's like to know where ladies would use the hairdryer?

Overall excellent stay 👍

Had a 4 night stay in December. Very big and comfortable room. Sean and his Dad are doing a fantastic job since taking over the King's Arms.

Spent two nights here over the bank holiday weekend and we absolutely loved it! Great location, everything is kept clean, people were lovely and the food was great! The service we got for our dog was great, he was well and truly spoilt🥰

What an absolutely welcoming friendly pub, spent our 5 night break dining in here, every evening was warmly welcomed, with water and treats for our 2 dogs. The whole team, landlady and staff were amazing. I’m not one to usually write reviews but felt the need to sing their praises highly. 5 massive stars from us.

Called in for lunch today with our dog. We were made very welcome by the young man serving and so was our dog, he provided not only water but a delicious meal of him and dog biscuits which he lived. Thank you so much for your hospitality and we will be visiting again soon.

My partner and I stayed in a nearby village and decided to have some pub food on our final night. We visited the Kings Head and really enjoyed it. The staff were so kind and polite. I overheard the man behind the bar speaking to another customer about how some ‘customers’ in the past have made off without paying for food/accommodation. I don’t know how people can behave in this way given the friendliness of the staff.
Anyway, pub in itself was charming. I’ve seen some reviews question the decor etc but we liked it, gave a nice vibe of a warm welcome.
It was curry night and I enjoyed my food. The chips were out of this world, I’m not a massive fan of chips and a bit funny with them but these were probably the best I’ve ever had.
Will be sure to visit again if ever in the area.

Best place to eat in Reeth. You can judge a place by where locals use...and this is it.

Lovely surroundings and decor, roaring fire in winter is a blessing. Warm welcome by staff. And well....the best chips and lasagne ever. Our go to on the menu! Regular customers and that says it all.

Spent a week on holiday in Reeth and ate at The Kings Arms every evening. Food was excellent but it was the friendliness of all the staff that kept us going back there. Will definitely be returning.

Came in for lunch today (didn't pre-book but double check the serving times before you go which is what we did), after having been for a walk along the fields by the river. Food came quickly, was piping hot, and was divine (Kings burger recommended!).
Generous portions have meant we haven't needed any tea tonight either.
Our little one loved his strawberry dessert and was grateful for the lady who served us bringing over some sweets while we waited for the main meals, and for taking the time to engage with him.
Toilets were spotlessly clean as well (ask for the key at the bar).
We'll return for sure - thankyou for the great hospitality.

Great old world bolt hole from where to explore the area. Nice meals and reasonably priced. Parking on the cobbles outside.
Lovely views of high scar and the village from the front rooms.

We used this pub various times on our visit to Reeth. The staff are amazing and it is dog and child friendly. The owner is amazing and the food is amazing too. Great selection of drinks. Make sure you book tables at busy times to avoid disappointment. We didn't stay at the hotel, so can't comment on that.

All I can say is brilliant ever so friendly food is good and the staff are the most friendly you could ever wish to have and as far as dog friendly goes they go above and beyond. If your passing pop in don’t be a fool and miss such a friendly place.

What a fabulous place to stay. Gina and Phillip are the best when it comes to hospitality. Your dog will always get well looked after too. A big shout out to Adam, Simon and Gareth - so polite and helpful.
Food is great value, try out the steak pie, and the ales are kept perfectly. Their generosity knows no bounds and they have become stalwarts of the local community.
The rooms have had a revamp and are immaculate. The big open fire is nearly as big as Gina's heart!

Such a welcoming hotel, visiting this pub should be on everyone's bucket list.

Village centre pub with massive old fireplace. 3 real ales no real cider. We wanted to eat but they did not serve food until 6pm. Easy wheelchair access. The beers were in very good condition. Parking on village green.

Lovely old pub with great views sat outside. Stayed in a cottage nearby so came in here every night just for drinks. Very friendly staff and attentive landlady who noticed her customers and even supplied ham and biscuits for all the dogs. She even got us a drink to thank us for our custom. The only downside was I felt like a child having to ask to go to toilet.

Went in for a drink after a muddy wet walk, with our dog. We wondered would it be OK? They came over with a bowl of biscuits and ham for the dog and some water. Lovely touch and lovely old pub inside.
